It’s like this.. you’re in a room, you just came in from the cold, light snow turning to droplets on your modest leather jacket. Maybe it’s a late December evening. “Oh” you say, “it’s a church..” there’s a candelabra on a far table, holding pale yellow candles, burning on one side of the room. You pull the cup of hot eggnog, which you brought in with you, to the bottom of your chin with your hands, clad in grey fingerless gloves which Frey at the ends. Simultaneously, you get a whiff of the holy incense leaking from a metal cage hanging from an old iron post jetting through the floor in a hook, holding the cage. It’s dark in there but you don’t actually feel scared. “Everyone just went home” you remind yourself before asking, “Why haven’t I?” You just stand there... for a moment... before ultimately going back outside.

Very interesting smell, smells exactly like turf house at dawn is the best way I can describe it. The vetiver, clove combo is pretty prevalent during the opening. It dulls down into more of that cedar, ambery resin type feeling. The dry down turns it from that turf house vibe to a more of an oak tree house type smell. Sillage is okay, smell is fantastic, longevity is alright. Overall 8/10.
