Prism Head

Overall, I love this fragrance. The blend of the earthy fragrances like damp soil, cannabis, and wild mushrooms are what really draw me in and truly evoke a sense of foraging on the forest floor looking for mushrooms. I'm not sure if it's the geosmin terpene or maybe the vetiver or a combination, but something gives me a strong turpentine or gasoline smell straight out of the bottle. That chemical smell eventually dies down and lets the earthier notes through a little more. But in the end, the whole fragrance dies down very quickly and is barely noticeable just a couple hours in.

Herbaceous and citric start with c4nnabis and lemon up front. That crisp dewiness sticks around, sitting on top of an earthy core of forest mushrooms and the damp, black soil of a woodland floor after fresh rain. The feeling of relief after a cleansing rain shower. A sense of peace and mental clarity (I can totally see the psychedelic inspiration, too). Earthy, but never in a musty “forgotten basement” kind of way. I don’t think I’ve ever smelled anything quite like this before. Honestly, I just want to soak a cloth in it and press it to my face.

Smells like I face planted in the soil of a grow room & this has gone straight on my want list. That cannabis note is so realistic!

When I tried this on paper, it smelled exactly like a lit joint. I was nervous to try it on skin, but miraculously it was completely different! There's still a lot of weed, but it fades quickly, turning earthy and musky with a strong metallic tang. I actually like this quite a lot. But I'm nervous to wear it because of the associations. "Hippie" is a great descriptor.

sprayed this on while high. smells like dry musty old tomes and weed gummies coated in a layer of sour sugar, a perfect friday night in flicking through ancient books and beautiful images for me. loves it.

Really smells exactly like a forest floor. Pure. Dank.

You can have it all My empire of dirt

I'll preface this by saying I love everything about this house. The stunning packaging, the stories the stories the fragrances tell, and how Sarah Baker allows her perfumers to unleash their brave, punky, and avant-garde side. This fragrance however has a big flaw. The opening of lemon and cannabis. Cannabis has quite a dank almost urine smell, this combined with the strong lemon smell melds into a clone of the smell of the gents toilets of a proper boozer. Think Saturday evening, lemon oil scented urinal cakes taking a blast from scores of gents who have held it in for the duration of a football match. I am absolutely adoring the mushroom note in this fragrance, it really intrigues me what this fragrance could be if it wasn't for the lemon. I get the psychedelic/weed inspiration as it dries down and it really is giving me flashbacks to my experimental years - I'm almost getting that weird taste in the back of my throat from mushroom tea. I would love the opening to flipped on it's head, I can't get past it, Don't stop being brave Sarah Baker.

I had center left second row seats to the last dead show with Jerry at soldier field in 95. There is some patchouli. It isn’t the same patchouli the dirty hippies wore but at the same time I smell like a dirty hippy. This does not smell like pot. It smells like pine needles and citrus and dirt as in earth. The funk in here resembles BO. This is a a very strange fragrance. I picture the meeting. Let’s make dirty hippy. Produces a fragrance that smells nothing like any dirty hippy I have ever smelled yet brings to mind dirty hippies. Could be because I smell like a homeless person. For the hobbyists out there YMMV. Ok I don’t smell like a homeless person. This is one of those fragrances that mimics what a white collar man who has had a stressful but successful day at work. You know the smell his fragrance of the day is still evident but there is a dose of human in there now not BO but humanness

When I first sprayed this, I got the sense that they were going for mushrooms but it mostly smelled like wet earth and something yeasty, like unbaked bread from a distance. Didn't really get mushrooms or cannabis. Then the drydown is just very incense to me, not a lot of complexity. Will give it another try because I have a sample but was not particularly impressed.

Definitely a realistic damp, musty, planty scent. Would not call it pleasant, i personally don’t like it. I have liked rainy earthy scents before, dirt is probably one of my favorite scents, but this one is a little harder for me to get behind. But i have to give props for the realism. It definitely smells wet.

This stuff is disgusting. It smells like freshly dug up mushrooms, black moist soil, hints of green, and an acerbic undertone that smells vaguely of urine. 1 out of 10.

🍄🟫 Well five stars for accuracy! I hate weed & hate mushrooms- but if I liked them I would like this fragrance! I can’t bring myself to test this & experience it on my skin. I respect how they were able to create these smells. I felt I was digging my fingers into wet dark earth at the base of a tree in a mysterious forest. Definitely made me feel strong emotions! lol The previous scent I tried from this house- Peach’s Revenge- smelled like peach Froot Loops so the house is very versatile, love that.

This is not similar to neither the tart frutiness of Magic Mushrooms (Bohoboco) nor the strong olibanum smokiness of King Cobra (Zoologist). Prism Head leans much more into pure soil territory, it's actually probably the best geosmin I've ever experienced in a perfume. Big hippie patchouli drydown. Pretty pumped about this but performance doesn't seem great.

Oh my god. The opening tricks you. It just gets stronger and stronger. It won’t come off. This is the real inexcusable evil.
