Origin Story

Origin Story didn't disappoint this is a fabulous fragrance. Smells vintage. Upon first spray the bright and sunny yuzu greats your nose which IMO is a nice change from the ever dominant bergamot. But as it goes along it becomes very jasmine dominant with lots and lots of patchouli, musks, and a very creamy and milk like powdery sandalwood. This could be unisex but I find it leans feminine because of the musk used in this fragrance. It is slightly sweet and quite floral. For me this smells like something a 1920 flapper would have worn because there is a subtle masculine quality due to the patchouli, that gives a woman an edge, gives her a raw sexuality. Very musky and heavy rich balsamic amber in the base that clings to you. Very sensual. Would make a great date night scent. FB worthy. Edit if you like fragrances like Chanel Le Lion you will like this as well. Not alike just in the same family.

Ambery woody jasmine. Prominent powdery sandalwood plus jasmine, given a fizzy spritz of yuzu and sweetened with a light touch of fruits, patchouli, and resinous vanilla. Like a slightly warmer, woodier Reflection Man. The jasmine is a bit indolic in the opening but freshens up as it dries down. Retains enough freshness but has enough backbone to be an all-occasions fragrance. Moderate projection strengthens through ~2hr in before fading to skin over 3-4hr, longevity 12hr+.

definitely giving vintage. i get the jasmine & patchouli in equal measure, with a jovan-esque type of musk in the background-- it reminds me of a 70s femme powerhouse type of scent. for my tastes, i wish the white florals were dialed way down, but the patchouli is really nice.

I just got a sample of this. I do not like this scent at all. I literally said “Oofa” out loud !
