The Now

So impressed by this soft, dreamy grass field of a find. I'm usually a rockemsockemrobot (aka I like em really strong) kinda perfume girl, but there is something so dreamy and ethereally beautiful in Now that I'm seriously considering a full bottle. Now starts very grassy and figgy for me, which is such an interesting combination. There is also something solar in the opening, which elevates the mood and reminds you of a quiet sunny Sunday sitting on the porch while Dad is mowing the lawn. She fades into a sort musk which reminds me of a cleaner, and more coconut and cotton version of Cashmere by DK. There is just the right amount of neroli, and the tea under one comes alive in the dry down. This is definitely a better than you skin scent, and may well be my new favorite in that genre. It's missing the wood/pencil shavings that most good skin scents have, but I don't mind that at all as the amber keeps it well blended. 100% a safe blind buy- completely inoffensive, can be work to the office/gym/park/date night/you name it, and certainly a crowd pleaser. No compliments yet but I think that's because... Projection is very soft (which I don't like). Staying power is average (although certainly well above average in the weight class it's competing in). Lasted about 6 hours of so. While I hate the soft silage, I guess a loud projection doesn't really go with the overall vibe of this scent, which quietly beckons for someone to come closer and smell "you." It's also a fantastic price point for the exceptional quality. I'm almost out of the sample I got, and this is at the top of my want list for my next full bottle purchase. A definite must smell for everyone.

I bought a sample of this scent from Ministry of Scent and I'm honestly shocked its not more popular! I initially was drawn to it for the white tea and musk notes, and honestly I would not say this smells like white tea but it does smell GOOD! It is the perfect combo of warm, fresh, green, and sweet, without being too much of one. Other reviewers are so right with the fresh coconut smell. Its not a tropical sunscreen coconut or a sweet coconut candy smell but a spa like fresh coconut. I know fresh smells and skin scents are everywhere right now but this one is so unique. The warmth and naturalness of it almost make me feel like i am wearing a scented body lotion rather than a perfume. If you are looking for a strong sillage this perfume would be disappointing, but it is not a fleeting scent, like other fresh perfumes I love (cough cough Liis) it lasts close to the skin and is just so refreshing and calming to smell throughout the day. Strongly considering a full bottle of her, kinda wish the bottle was prettier though

The Now is such an original, fresh, comforting scent - exactly as Sarah intended it to be. I have the oil version of this but would like to get the spray once this is used up. This is one of the easiest reach fragrances in my collection - works for anytime, anywhere, any situation; work appropriate. It's subtle but noticeable and lingering: the perfect option when you need a break from more intense or demanding scents or experiences. I'm not a big fan of fig scents but I find the tea, grass and musk notes keep the fig from being too dominant. It's a beautifully constructed, highly enjoyable perfume from a very talented and lovely perfumer!

I finally got a full bottle. I’ve sampled this several times over the past couple years and always loved it, so I asked for it for my December 4th birthday. This doesn’t smell like any of the listed “smells like” scents to me. This is a gorgeous fresh scent. It’s a white musk at its heart, but has a perfect touch of fig and sandalwood for creaminess, an oceanic breeze fresh quality like fresh air, and a green-ness that is subtle. It’s slightly creamy, clean (but not laundry) and fresh. I can’t find a flaw in it and I’m excited to have it. The bottle is very pretty. This is a good one for any occasion including work.

Very very into this fragrance! With the intent on becoming more familiar with musks, I picked up a couple of samples from Ministry of Scent and this is the standout for sure. It’s extremely comforting. I definitely think the term “your skin but better” is played out because now it just references any bright musks on the market, but this one really does a great job melding with my natural scent. It’s not really clockable that I’m wearing perfume, it just makes me smell really nice and fresh. I keep grabbing for it and I’ve only had it a couple of days. Definitely going to be a full bottle purchase very soon.

Such a charming fragrance! This scent is soft, warm, and super fresh with a beautiful musk base. It’s not a gourmand fragrance, but there’s a slight hint of sweetness to it. Don’t let the grass note scare you—I don’t really pick it up, and it definitely doesn’t smell green on me. It comes across more as a clean, fresh scent. I get more of the amber in the dry down, which adds a cozy touch. I definitely need a full bottle of this, it’s such an easy reach and perfect for everyday wear or work. It’s not a beast mode, yet I still got compliments on just my little sample. I need to sample more from SH!

This is a lovely and very "today" take on white musk. An ode to the past of the great white musk fragrances of the 80s like Jovan musk for women etc but The Now has a fresh oceananic breeze blowing through it along with a slight touch of fig and creamy amber base. A very easy fragrance to wear and others to be around. It is one of those your skin but better fragrances that will get you attention but they will think it is just "you" that they are smelling.

When I wear this people near me say, "you smell good." Not "what fragrance are you wearing?" or "are you wearing a perfume" but "you smell good." In this sense, I think Sarah Horowitz has achieved exactly what she was going for here. A beautiful, green musky skin scent with a grassy coconut note that has passed the bar for me as someone who doesn't like coconut. This will be my signature scent for spring and summer.

This fragrance is fresh and beautiful. The notes are well blended and it really is a true “you but better” scent. It starts out fresh and green and it dries down to a creamy, pleasant scent that just makes you smell super clean. The image that comes to mind when I wear this is putting on a crisp linen blouse and eating lunch on a terrace in Nice, France overlooking the ocean.

I wish the data base would be updated for this brand. She has 3 others in the Origin line that are also excellent. Journeys 4/Rima, aRitual, and Wakeup Angel.

phenomenal. creamy and crispy fresh

I agree with the other review, a nice soft quiet scent. I often chase fig notes, but have found that (on me) many dry down to a sun-soaked wood scent, which while nice in theory, leaves me feeling like the male love interest in a pulpy novel set on the Mediterranean. The Now, however, balances the fig with strong musk and amber— which ends up a much more delicate scent. As for the other notes, I only get the faintest hint of tea, and the neroli and grass disappear instantly after the initial spritz. Because of its soft sillage, this feels like the sort of scent where someone (post 2020) will settle their head on your shoulder and sigh lazily— "you smell nice", as if this scent is something you naturally exude. My only hesitation with this perfume, is whether or not it's too basic— just another "clean" scent in a world of people who want to smell like fresh laundry— but I'm working through these insecurities with my therapist.

This opens very fresh and green, with a bit more warmth in the dry down. As klioux below me mentions, this does somehow smell coconutty, especially in the dry down. The coconutty smell, muskiness, light sweetness and overall airy quality of this fragrance reminds me very much of quieter version of Blanche Bete by Liquides Imaginaires.

Sweet, sappy fig that will fool you into thinking there's a coconut accord. Well done and blended to perfection.

This is very coconutty to me, but in a bright, fresh green way rather than a Hawaiian tropic sunscreen way, thanks to the grassy note. A gentle blend of musk and tea with slight fig sweetness floats through the middle. I love the way these elements coalesce in the opening, but this skin scent powders itself in the dry down a little too much for my liking.

This is a lovely, soft, quiet skin scent. It's very much like her other scent, Perfect Veil, but updated and feels more modern. It's cozy and warm, slightly floral but more musky and fresh. Top notes almost smell of coconuts and a bit tropical but that is lost in the dry down. Silage is poor, that that's fine with me as I don't like a loud fragrance. It's casual, a nice every day scent but feels more fall or winter to me than summer due to the slight powder note in the dry down.

Very fluffy, soft, fresh and atmospherically sweet white musk scent, but unfortunately the performance is terrible on my skin. Love these notes together, but I had to concentrate to smell 3 sprays on my wrist. It faded to an extremely faint "whisper" of a scent within minutes rather than hours.

beautiful soft, musky scent. the figs are VERY faint here, to the point of being barely persceptible, but they're there in the background if you're really focusing!! definitely more of a skin scent than anything, but a really pretty one at that

It's a gorgeous scent, but longevity, projection, and sillage are lacking. Not worth it for me.
