Forbidden Words Alfaaz-e-Mamnooah

Forbidden Words is a well done take on the very popular trend of sweet, warm, honeyed tobacco. If I think about scents from my collection, Forbidden Words takes me straight to fragrances like Mugler’s discontinued Pure Havane the most, then to Xerjoff’s Naxos (without the lavender note, with an added lime note) and further down the line, to PDM’s Carlisle (without green apple and nutmeg note). Some of my all time favourites cold weather scents, fabulous gourmand leaning masterpieces! Therefore, if you’re looking for a more affordable option to any of the more expensive/dicountinued scents mentioned above, Forbidden Words is your best choice! Warm, vanillic, ambery, resinous, slightly peppery but a true, sweet tobacco with a pinch of lime in the opening and a touch of woods and patchouli in the dry down. Another beautiful creation, well done Sasva! This is the best alternative for Pure Havane from what I’ve tested so far. For all perfumes lovers that wanted that amazing, discontinued designer masterpiece and are looking for something similar, you have it here! Edit: best performing out of the entire discovery set, even longer lasting than Sapna. At 14 hours from application is a skin scent. Well worth the money!

A really nice fragrance. The lime note is sweet and has subtle cherry inflections. The tobacco is done well, to me this is actually sort of a mild take on a sweet tobacco fragrance. I don’t think the tobacco is overpowering the other notes. I like that there are some fresh elements to this alongside that vanilla rather than just syrupy sweet notes. For what it is worth, I like this a lot more than Carolina Herrera Mystery Tobacco. I don’t think this is a tired riff on that style, I think this is the upgrade. It has balance and finesse rather than heavy handed sloppiness. 8.5/10

Surprisingly juicy opening: prominent lime and vanilla, followed by sweet tobacco a few minutes later. The lime remains even in the early dry down for me. One of my partner's signature scents was Mugler's Pure Havane, but considers it too sweet for his taste, now. He went through a bottle of Insurrection II Wild and found it a nicer dupe of Pure Havane. Forbidden Words was a hopeful contender, but it's a distant relative.

I tried it twice. And twice I had the same sensations. I don't know if it's my nose or my skin, but I consider this fragrance a representation of the life cycle, and I explain you why. Initially very strong tobacco notes prevail, as if they were cigarette ash, and the Oud immediately emerges which gives life, together with hints of vanilla and patchouli, to the heart of the composition. Opulent , too much for my taste. In the drydown we go back to the origins: the hints of tobacco re-emerge this time sweetened by vanilla. Unfortunately it is not my genre, but it is really well structured. In my opinion to use absolutely in winter , high sillage and very , very demanding . "The smoking man" by Botero.

Seriously good stuff. Well structured transitions and balance of the notes. Opening is very potent tobacco, but in 20 min it settles down and entire bouquet of notes emerges on the surface. Will enjoy my sample while it lasts. For tobacco fall scent lovers, this is a must-try.
