Ascension

THIS IS MY FAVORITE!!! Fragrantica FINALLY added Chris Classic's fragrances to its catalogue! The person below me says it smells like rain and dirt, lol. I'm not getting rain and dirt from Ascension.But then again, I enjoy the earthiness of Encre Noir, so may be there is rain and dirt to the scent. But for me, Ascension is a spring, summer, fall fragrance that's perfect for casual events or outings. It's a woody-aromatic scent that is slightly ozonic to me, but it's not the typical shower gel scent that is usually described in this manner. It's more of a clean, watery scent fresh scent that smells awesome. I encourage people to try Chris's products. They are amazing! Like I say in all my reviews, this is all just my opinion. Take opinions and reviews with a grain of salt. Everyone has an opinion regarding smells. Some people love a specific fragrance. Some people hate it. Some people lie regarding reviews and opinions. Some state the truth. My advice is for you to GET A SAMPLE OF ANY FRAGRANCE BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO BUYING IT. That way, you can assess it for yourself and have your own thoughts rather than strictly going off someone else's thoughts and opinions

I passed on this at first because people said it smelled like dirt. I’m glad I changed my mind. It doesn’t smell like dirt. Does it smell earthy, yes but not dirt. Ascension is an earthy, subtle floral rose scent. Definitely unisex but leans masculine. Kind of reminds me of a toned down Adonis Awakens from Argos. I’ll have to test that tonight and update. I know there’s not a rose note but I get rose on skin. I usually hate rose scents but I enjoy this one. Probably because it’s not rose. Duh. This scent is definitely office safe. Great sillage for an hour then it’s a skin scent. That part is very disappointing. Overall, for me it’s an 7/10. Great scent but poor performance.

Okay so yes it really does smell like freshly rained on dirt, BUT in an amazing way. Ascension smells like when you wake up on a camping trip early in the morning, and open your tent up to the smell of freshly rained on soil with some fruitiness to it. Smells absolutely incredible for what it is, super wearable as well. Ascension surprised me in the best way possible. And that's coming from someone who typically HATES earthy scents. This is top tier for me.

I came here to comment on my 10 ml decanter. It's a pleasant enough fragrance, but I'm afraid the atomizer is poor and the scent doesn't last longer than an hour tops.

This is amazing. It smells like rain and dirt in the most amazing way possible. I would have gotten a bottle if I didn’t have so many other scents with this type of vibe but one I use those up in coming back for this. The other scents this reminds me of is the strange south- concrete angel and death and floral- two cups of tea a summer monsoon and me and you

I Love this! it just doesn't last. Very unique scent that will make people wonder what you're wearing. Scent - 9.2 Sillage - 8 Longevity - 7.5 Projection - 9.0 Overall - 8.4
