November Violet

Hardcore violet lover here, so I came in with high expectations. The initial blast felt almost medicinal (that moth ball thing people note), but soon it segued into a clean, smoother version of Iris 39. It stayed violet and fresh - on me very light in powder, and if the violet is tinged with blueberry, I admit this is a note I enjoy. That initially curious top note (the peppery carrot seeds, perhaps?) was less palpable in subsequent wears. I personally don’t detect Parma-style violet candies here (as I do in most other violet forward perfumes). I get grown woman/man/person violet. Clean yet earthy, if the two can coexist. I LOVE this! Only wish it stayed stronger, longer. At this price point a full bottle is already on its way - before my decant is done - if only to ensure I have one with real heliotrope.

A very beautiful violet fragrance! It opens with a juicy blueberry scent, that for few seconds I sense it very sweet too, but that's it, because right away a soft, powdery violet scent comes forward tempering the sweetness adding elegance to NOVEMBER VIOLET. The earthiness that carrot seeds and patchouli gives is very well balanced by refreshing notes of oakmoss and warm sandalwood. I see NOVEMBER VIOLET classy and elegant, with romantic vibes, that can go easily unisex. After the few minutes of wear I would say that is a fragrance for cold weather, because is very potent, but once it dries down, it gets warmer and softer, but still noticeable. If you love powdery fragrances, make yourself a favor and try NOVEMBER VIOLET. I am sure you would love it too.💜

I have the 50 ml bottle of this perfume. It has a skin duration that reaches 9 hours, high intensity at the beginning but remains at medium intensity. Of course, the central aroma of this perfume is the violet but loaded with aroma that give us different sensations, at the beginning it is a violet with a slight fruity sensation, I think it is the carrot seeds that give me a sensation of aroma that I did not know. , a certain floral animal sensation on the part of the heliotrope and as time passes in this violet, it becomes woody and earthy. Always without forgetting the powdery sensation that violet gives. My feeling was of surprise, I do not have many violet perfumes so it is a personal pending account to appreciate more and better the violet and here I can feel it in a very pure and special way. I classify these types of perfumes as personal. I know that everyone does not like violet, so my recommendation is for those who like violet and the powdery feeling a lot. Unisex? Totally, it is very curious because when we talk about certain flowers we believe that they are or will be very feminine, but the combination of notes on all that background heart where a woody and earthy violet returns makes it very unisex.

This is not for everybody. I would say that you have to be a pretty hardcore fan of powdery notes such these listed ones to love it. It opens up strong on the violet and the carrot seeds. Violet Ida by Miller Harris also has carrot seeds so they are quite similar. So this one smells like very realistic violet candy and continues all the way to the base. But during dry down it begins to feel a bit dewy, which I loved. I image this could be due to the oakmoss. So the name is quite on point. I’m not a fan of patchouli but it is very discreet here so it actually helps blend this beautiful perfume together. I personally love it! A little bit hard to find the perfect occasion for it though.

Re-tested this. It’s reminding me of moth balls from my grandparents’ house when I was a kid, but in the best possible way. There was a very pleasant scent to them; not at all camphoric or overpowering. Additionally, I get iris and leather. To me, it’s pretty and very unusual...maybe even special. I’m definitely attracted to it. I still don’t get fruit, carrot or oakmoss.

Very interesting, but I get no blueberries. I also don’t get the same oakmoss, violet (which always strikes me as greener more vibrant iris) or carrot seeds. Instead, I get a synthetic note - like a cross between baby doll head plastic and moth balls, but not in a bad way. It’s pleasant, nostalgic and intriguing, but I’m not ready to buy a FB.

God light, powdery violet. This is not for me though. Gives me a headache and made me sneeze.

All the notes are such that I love, but I cannot recognise them in the scent. On me this scent begins with a tobacco-violet smell. Not the nice warm tobacco, sadly more like a cigaret butt. Later on the scent becomes softer, even though the strange tobacco still remains. Definitely a unisex scent. Maybe a positive review would describe is as a dirty violet? Unfortunately I can’t recommend it. Absolutely not for a blind buy due to the list of notes!

Not a fan. Very powdery and I think the weird blueberry tones come through a lot, very dry scent.

Smells like a rubber toy from the eighties. Nasty.

This is a fantastic, thick violet fragrance with a prominent scent of carrot seeds that gives it a colder touch that reminds of iris. It also has a woody background and all together the notes in this fragrance makes it beautifully thick, cosy and almost creamy. It's like an amazing cloud around me and it is projecting like this all day long. This is a fragrance that I immediately knew that I needed a full bottle of. I love it! For me, who loves, loves, loves this kind of cold violet/iris-(ish) fragrance, this is pure perfection!
