La Nuit... Transfigurée

I spent some time with La Nuit Transfigurée before writing my impressions here... For me, it has become that type of perfume that you regret not applying in the morning instead of another! It is in the style of the ones I prefer lately, which opens with citrus / greenish notes and then finely powder to a vanilla base that is not very sweet, but extremely comfortable. I agree with those who have commented below. At first, you can be easily fooled by the intensity of the perfume, you can think that it has disappeared after a short time of application. But it constantly radiates on the skin, in the pulsation zones, creating a gorgeous fragrant bubble around you, from which the powdery vanilla stands out. It is not a classic gourmand, but it has gourmet influences (at least for me). It really seems to me that it resembles the type of smell with which we identify a luxurious cafe ( with that specific soft vanilla cloud 🍦☁️ ), such as those in San Marco square in Venice! LOVE IT

La nuit...transfiguree is a magical perfume for me. It opens sweet and floral. A mixture of spices and violets, very special and unique. Little by little it becomes more floral, with the dry sensation of geranium and the silky sensation of rose. For 1-2 hours it is a mainly powdery and spicy perfume. From that moment on, the vanilla and Ambroxan rise, gradually becoming a mainly vanilla perfume. The drydown is therefore soft and creamy, with that mixture of Ambroxan with vanilla, sandalwood and a beautiful musk. It is a soft perfume, with a soft INTENSITY and projection, which is present and felt at times. However, the duration is good, on my skin it lasts perfectly for about 8 hours, with the last hours being a perfume that is smelled mostly at skin level. It is a very elegant perfume, perfect for work or for daytime events. A perfect choice for spring or cool summer evenings. Just received my Two samples, transfigure is a soft powdery-vanilla scent, with a beautiful leather undertone. I actually really enjoyed this fragrance, only minus being it’s quite a close to skin scent and longevity is below moderate. I have had to Re spray it several times throughout the day. Edit: ok, longevity isn’t all that bad, in fact; I ordered a FB because the dry down creaminess is just amazing! Another fun fact, this juice seemed to have this vintage vibe similar to jour hereux and fleur d’ete fragrances that I also own by the brand called Bienaime - low and behold, the it is the same perfumer that created all 3! I knew I was on to something

This is an ethereal, mysterious scent that's powdery and delicate but also spicy and velvet. It's like walking in the streets of Paris after dark. At first I was disappointed that the projection was quite low but I keep catching the scent when I move and I love that about it. Longevity is very good in this scent but it's not screechy or loud. It reminds me of a more refined Casmir by Chopard mixed with the citrus I pick up on in L de Lolita Lempicka. This is true luxury and elegance in a perfume.

Ohh this is beautiful. A bit dark and mysterious. Unusual herbal notes from the tarragon. I love tarragon in fragrances and it's a pretty rare note. There is some spiciness from the nutmeg that makes you think about sipping an hot beverage or eating a nice pastry. I see this as the perfect Fall nighttime fragrance. It is elegant and approachable. Dries down in some yummy light spicy vanilla. On my to buy list for next Fall :) Seems like Marie Schnirer is a perfumer to follow closely.

At first, I mainly got a gourmand vanilla from La Nuit... Transfigurée - enhanced by an ambery deepness and very light spices. Together that makes for a delicious, airy sweetness, reminiscent of the scents of cotton candy, roasted almonds and marrons chauds on a European fair. It's not like sniffing any of these directly, let alone eating them. It's really just the trail they leave in the air as you walk around the different attractions. Not super sweet either. This is definitely more complex than the first impression gave away, so I sprayed a little more on the same spot on my skin and this revealed the middle notes: geranium, violet and rose. Of the three I can smell the geranium mostly, the others seem to be her flankers. They add a tad of greenery and sit comfortably on their soft velvet-vanilla pillow. Now I truly like the scent and I won't take it amiss, if it will fade into its base notes again after a while. After all, they really were delicious. Very wearable during the day, inoffensive and light, never too sweet or heavy.

Opens with a fresh bergamot, acting as an intro to the goodness that is to come. The violet gives a gentle powdery feel, and this powder acts as the main body of the fragrance. Rose and geranium starts to blossom, supporting the powder and gives a hint of cosmetic scent to the composition. There is also a slight greenness hiding, perhaps from the tarragon. Vanilla, leather and musk slowly come into focus, but there is no sweetness, just a comforting creaminess that feels plush and pillowy. The fragrance is not heavy nor loud, but rather like a thin shawl that drapes over the skin, accenting the wearer with a sense of elegance and refinement.

Oh I love this so.. Initial spray I did not really get much in the way of citrus notes, but it did get a little Anise (Tarragon) and the florals. The impression they left with me was "They are so Pretty!!" As it dried down the vanilla and sandalwood came to life. The musk slowly made an appearance, but was definitely tempered by the vanilla. This did not project overmuch, but stayed close to me for a very long time. I still smelled it on my arm the following morning.
