No27 Atlas Tonka

I find similarity to Lattafa's Teriaq Intense. They are not identical, but definitely sisters. They share a number of notes: saffron, bergamot, tonka, amber... Atlas Tonka lacks the plum liquor from Teriaq Intense, but I still get a boozy impression - just not as strong. Both are rich and deep, spicy, boozy and warming - perfect for the dark and cold autumn or wintertime. I find both highly enjoyable and perfectly unisex, or maybe just slightly masculine leaning, despite their sweetness. If you enjoy spicy boozy scents such as Khamrah, this is worth checking out. Different enough from Khamrah for owning both, but if you already have Teriaq Intense, you might want reconsider needing Atlas Tonka. As said, both are lovely, but in my opinion Teriaq Intense wins by the plum note. It has also slightly better performance, on my skin at least.

Clone house or not, this is one lovely scent. I don't necessarily get the tonka scent from the get-go, it's more a tonka-vanillic backdrop in the dry-down, which I do appreciate. The saffron hits strongly in the beginning, and then it just envelops the wearer into a comfortable, slightly acidic, pinching scent from the rose combination. For the price tag, it's definitely worth it - persists just fine, without cloying. Perfect office scent and for daily wear.

Scent of Stars is a new clone house launched in 2026. The full notes should read: Top: Saffron, Bergamot Mid: Bulgarian Rose, Oud, Tonka Beans Base: Amber, Sugar, Musk This is pretty much a clone of Arabians Tonka by Montale. This currently retails in the UK at Notino for around £20.
