Blanc de Paris

This is such a beautiful white-floral musk. It smells like a white floral soap with some very juicy sweet lemon for brightness. It is squeaky clean. It reminds me of Diane Lane in Under the Tuscan Sun when she surprises her love interest by showing up at his apartment wearing a beautiful and feminine white chiffon dress, the sun shining brightly above her and amalfi lemon trees lining the seaside roads. Such a cheerful and sunshiny fragrance. It has the feel of Estée Lauder's White Linen, but this is more modern and a lot simpler. Something about it does seem Parisian too. It's somewhat proper, poignant, put-together. Yet so incredibly charming. This would be my ideal perfume to bring with me to Paris for romping around town. I adore this delightful little perfume.

I second sweetnspicey! "Delightful" is the perfect word for this lovely white floral with citrus, sandalwood and white musk accents. I'm not a white floral fan but this one is so beautifully put together that it transcends the genre in the same way that a fabulous thriller or romance novel wins over people who don't like thrillers or romance novels. I get the comparison to White Linen, but this is modern, fresh and eminently wearable. It's cheerful, sunshine-y and young while at the same time being sophisticated, classy and suitable for any occasion and age. It's not the least bit boring or ordinary and yet, if ever there were a safe blind buy, this would be it.

Simple, fresh floral with just-out-of-the-shower overtones and a light creaminess. Falls under what I think of as the spring occasion category, scents to wear to a wedding or graduation ceremony(as one of the attending guests) for example. As the name suggests the colour white or perhaps blush pink like apple blossom comes to mind.

I'm wearing this in cooler weather for the first time and I won't do it again. The fragrance isn't blooming at all. About six sprays and I can barely smell anything and what I can smell is a very dull floral.

Blanc de Paris opens with a jumble of citrus notes and white florals, reminding me of lime. Very fresh and green, and a little sour in a pleasant way, on a bed of what seems to be watery resins. On my skin, musk only comes into play 20 minutes later, and I feel that it really helps to draw out the floral in this. There's also a woodiness to it that lends some dimension. It's actually almost creamy and powdery in a rather feminine way. At this stage, it's a pretty fragrance. It doesn't really develop much beyond that. Instead, it just becomes more and more of a skin scent the longer it goes, lasting for a grand total of about 4 hours. I enjoyed the other Scent on Canvas creations, so I very much wanted to like this too, but it sits much too close to the skin. I have to really bury my nose in my skin to get a good whiff of it, but from what I got, it's a classy, professional scent with a hint of soft charm. It's worth a try because it might work better on you!

Not for me. Not when I first put it on, and not three hours later. The name fits the fragrance.
