Royal Blend

This is luxurious and opulent blend of dark and light roses, I'm guessing this is the Bulgarian and Taif Roses and this is wrapped in the sweet smell of jasmine. Now underneath this I can smell the dark musks that are pushing against the florals and that smells like strong tea that has gone through a strainer. You know that tannic smell of strong tea, well imagine a dark musk version wrapped up with floral's but pushing to come through. For two hours the projection and silage is strong and then the florals disappear and the scent reins itself in and starts to stay close to you. At this stage what is left is a slightly sweet dark musk. This then lasts for many hours more. The scent is a joy to wear with it's light and dark notes and I enjoyed the experience of wearing something regal. Though one thing to note is I did not pick up on any Oud within the fragrance.

A sweet oud rose combination. One swipe of attar on each arm is enough. Too much and the magic disappears and it becomes cloying. Excellent value for money.

I ordered a Royal Blend N1 50ml Extrait De Parfum spray in December 2024. I was deep into my Oud journey at the point, and I wanted something that was strong. I think the oil rather than the spray is probably the smarter more traditional option, but the spray came in a very cool class bottle with a nice cap. Probably the strongest Oud forward fragrance I owned when I got it, you can tell there is high quality Oud inside working its magic. Within the store, they are very forthcoming and knowledgeable about Oud within their culture, and the link between faith and oud is fascinating and intruiging. I eventually gifted this bottle to a colleague at work, as sharing these sort of things is important, and he also has informed me much about such a rich culture. Getting back to the Royal Blend, it is very masculine, well projecting, and longlasting. This is an experience and journey as much as it is a strong scent. Oud, Musk, and Rose always go well together, with this scent you only need a spray or two and it will be with you for the entire day. This is not for someone starting out their Oud journey, I would suggest London Oud or Dubai Oud to begin with, and then work your way up so you can appreciate the rich aroma of stronger oud based fragrances.
