Black Hemlock

Boy another love here. All I can hear in my head right now is the peanut song Christmas time is here. This really smells like going into the woods and cutting down a Christmas tree. The hemlock and the pine blend beautifully together. It smells like a magical Christmas tree forest. Black hemlock is not an ingredient that is used in perfumery that often and I think that that is a mistake. I'm obsessed with Ormonde Jaynes Woman and I wear that a lot because of the black hemlock. That fragrance is blended with cardamom and violet so it's completely different. Woman is more of a fragrance that is springtime in a forest covered in violets where this feels more winter me. Especially winter. It's giving me holiday vibes for sure. The spices and leather in here are really subtle they're noticeable but they just kind of add to the overall depth of this deeply woody fragrance. This is extremely well blended and very beautiful. Totally unisex I could see a man or a woman rocking this. Black hemlock is a perfume for the true nature lover. If you like spending time in the forest hiking, bird watching or any kind of real outdoor activity that is about admiring nature this is a fragrance for you. Absolutely stunning can't say enough good things about this one. As this goes a long it ends up in springtime. Becoming more floral. The blooming trees in the forest. Winter into spring. What a beautiful transition. My 2 favorite seasons in one fragrance. FB worthy.

The musk accord in this has a forest floor smell. Almost wet, and very realistic. This is unique and very well done. You’ve got to be a wood scent lover for this to appeal to you. It does not have the typical sawdust smell so many wood scents have. It’s a pine smell that has more tones of a rubbery oak moss with a hint of light florals to give you a sense that there is lift. That the scent of the forest floor is rising to your nose at the same time that you’re smelling the leaves and bark of the tree being blown around by the wind. The mossy effect drys down and the cold forest floor and tree bark comes out as this drys. Last better than most realistic tree scents but doesn’t project a lot. Well done!
