Cloak Musk

Starts out lovely..animalic but softly so..metallic but softly so..aromatic but yes, softy so...this one is rather weak. It fades away quickly into a barely there skin scent. Like how snowflakes melt away, as they warm up. Ends up smelling like skin after a shower..not bad at all, but why spend money on something that smells like a soapy shower? Just use your body wash and save the money. I like it but wish it was stronger. So its a pass for me.

Yikes haha. This smells like an extremely poorly blended version of Blackbird's Pipe Bomb Intense (one of my all time favorites, which makes this comparison especially offensive). I love metallic notes so I've tried a lot of fragrances in this universe, and I think this is the worst one. I didn't think that a metallic note could be too strong but they've managed to do it. All the other notes smell dusty and moldy to me. This concoction essentially smells like a garage full of old machinery which has been overcome with mildew. Hard pass. Absolutely vile—and this is coming from someone who doesn't mind the occasional dank "old books" style fragrance.

Cloak Musk is a scent of crystalline musks, fossilized herbs, and chilly snowcapped blooms which combines for a perfume that feels strangely inorganic...mechanized in some way, or maybe cybernetically enhanced. When I think of cloaking, I think less of a furry cape to keep you warm and more of the stealthy gravitational bending devices used by Klingons so that their birds of prey could travel undetected by Starfleet sensors. Do I like this hushed and coolly detached scent? Heck yeah I do. Would Klingons? Hard to tell. It’s basically the exact opposite of warrior bloodlust...but with a spritz of this on one meaty wrist and a double-bladed bat’leth gripped tightly in hand, they’d be certain to enter into battle with a calm, collected head. Perhaps today is a good day to die.

This is a minimalist and cool smelling fragrance, can definitely get the frozen mineral aspect as well as the piney nuances, seems like one of those fragrances that don’t really act as a fragrance, they act as a personality to match the wearer if that makes sense. I think this could be solid for layering since it’s not super complex and I don’t see how these accords would clash with other fragrances.
