Green Man

This is a hidden gem. Smells absolutely lovely. It's a beautiful forest inspiration without trying too hard to smell like a forest, if that makes any sense. One thing I love about this fragrance is it's very non-linear. It starts out with the citrus notes and almost kind of like... fresh light green plants and then dries down into this beautiful pine-like, mature forest. You can start to pick out all sorts of different green scents in this, just like you are walking through the forest! It wears more intimately, but seems to last at least quite a few hours. The style of this cologne feels classic and elegant. I also want to say the customer service, shipping, and packaging from this company is phenomenal. Great care has clearly been put into these products. Like I said, this is a hidden gem. If you somehow stumbled upon this page, just as I did, just try it for yourself. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

This is an easy to wear minty/citrus cologne-style. It has more than just a cool blast - like some I could mention. It has a nice mix of aromatics and is reasonably long lasting. I tend to wear either Sky Hill or Annick Goutal L'eau d' Hadrien if I want an uplifting cologne, but this one is good too.

My boyfriend has this and absolutely loves it. It's a very elegant scent with fresh citrusy notes to begin with and then really warm woody notes.

First off, this is gorgeous! Second, this is very unique: light, airy but longlasting mint, citrus and juniper and pine. love it!

I was one of the extremely fortunate winners of a Scents of Man giveaway competition and received a bottle of Green Man! Disclaimer: these are just initial impressions as we're in the middle of a heatwave in France (and I can't stand the heat in my old age lol) so I haven't been able to wear/test properly as yet (I only wear light scents right now!). First of all, I find the bottle and name of this fragrance are exactly how I imagined a scent from this small island so close to my country of birth yet so mysterious to me (I've since read quite a bit about the history and geography of 'Man' and it's quite fascinating). I'm more familiar with (wearing) designer and budget fragrances and upon first spray I get that rich and enveloping impression of real perfumery which reminds me of certain artisanal fragrance and soap boutiques from when I lived by the south coast of Provence, France, very natural aromas. Then the mint hits me! It's like crushing mint leaves in one's hands and then smelling them, very fresh, natural and uplifting particularly combined with the citrus and floral notes. I spend a lot of time in the forest and something about Green Man definitely reminds me of being in a fairly recently planted forest, that minty-woody scent from all the various shrubs, flowers and plants vying for space in the sunlight between the young trees, the dampness from a recent rain shower unleashing the aromas all the more. My nose may not be so experienced in perfumery as some but I can tell that this fragrance was crafted with a real passion and attention to detail, I don't know about production methods but it smells of high quality to me! I look forward to giving Green Man a proper wearing in cooler weather, hopefully sooner rather than later as I find it compelling indeed.
