Calm in Cedar

The name of this scent is apt. It’s medicinal and calming. It reminds me of the essential oil diffusers from Muji- I mean this as a compliment. It reminds me of someone with a very organized in home office. They wear neutrals and the weather outside is slightly grey. But despite their type A-ness this person exudes a certain warmth. I’d definitely reach for the scent on a chill day.

I agree with the reviews below saying it smells like a luxury spa. It's perfectly unisex, refreshing and calming. Wish it had more woody notes. 2-4 hours in, something in the drydown reminds me of L'eau Papier from Diptyque, perhaps it's the mimosa note. Also reminds me of something from Byredo, like Alto Astral... overall it dries down to something slightly more perfume-y and sharp which I don't looove. At 4-8 hours, it's almost identical to Versace Crystal noir with a hint of JHAG Sunny side up. I like it better once it's softened up. I like this scent but not FB worthy for me. Too many similar scents out there.

The scent was much more amber forward then I was expecting. I'm not familiar with ambertonic but it seems like a soft version of ambroxan with a woody sort of fuzzy cashmeran vibe. I can see a well dressed man or woman in a business professional setting wearing this as their everyday scent. I'm pretty casual so it would be more of a date night fragrance for me. I wish it was more woody, I dont really get a ton of cedar from them.

Very nice and smooth woody with an enlightening floral. Fig does not really come through which is fine for me, never been a fan of fig fragranves, so thats definitely a plus.

I just noticed how messed up the fragrance notes are on fragrantica. From the brand website this scent is "cedarwood, ambertonic, and tonka bean"
