Orange in Chestnut

i really miss this and wish they would bring it back. i get wood and citrus with a hint of leather and musk, along with neroli and fresh cut grass. flowers slip in elegantly after drying. strong enough to leave a lasting impression without being overpowering or unpleasant, still wonderfully delicate and subdued. great unisex scent. and, to whoever is voting sintra as similar... are we smelling the same things?

I'm so glad I tried this on my skin! I didn't love it on the blotter. It's a heavy, evening citrus if there is such a thing. It was too sweet and heavy for fall when I first got the sample, so I waited until winter to try it on skin. I sprayed it on a towel first to check it out, and it lasted more than a day. This note isn't listed, but I get a lot of orange oil, the stuff that comes from the rind. The white floral comes out after the heavy citrus opening. I'm three hours in and no woods yet, but it's softening yet still plenty citrusy. Like others, I wouldn't buy a full bottle but will enjoy my sample as long as it lasts. Reminds me a lot of Sintra by Memo Paris.

Beautiful lush, orangey citrus, jasmine, and neroli. I don't really pick up much woods from it, but that's not what I bought it expecting/hoping for, it was the citrus and white florals. It's really beautiful and serene. Not something I will wear much, but will enjoy smelling it from time to time. Seems more like a female than a unisex scent.

This is nice, but I don’t get white flowers at all. Just very aromatic dry cedarwood and a little bit of citrus oil. It’s giving me high-end sauna. I’m wondering if this sample isn’t mislabeled.

I absolutely love some scents of wood fragrances, and although they are expensive, the quality can be so readily apparent that you at least understand the cost. This, however, to me is basically just an overpriced, niche version of Banana Republic’s Neroli Woods (a fragrance I don’t wear but use as a room/bedding spray and find extremely calming). The thing is, in my opinion, neroli woods is actually far more effective in its simplicity. It also interestingly reminds me of Artisan Pure by John Varvatos. AP is admittedly one of my favorite summer fragrances and I consider it a masterpiece, and I find AP to be a much more inspired and evocative scent that this.
