Oud in Oak

I live in Utah, so i was able to go to the store in Heber to smell their line and after I smelled them all I bought 4 full bottles and this was one of them. I also got 3 10ml bottles. Proces are reasonable. Their have a lot of Oak and Pine, Cedar and other stuff that smells like woodchips, or saw dust, which all are really well done. It's kind of like Polo Green type, but much better quality. I liked how this one was dark and resinous. I am always shocked when I walk away with a full bottle and see people have just tanked the reviews. Just admit you want Ethyl Maltol bombs. This is a niche perfume house. Maybe they smell Plum and Cognac and think this will be like that, but it's not. This is super masculine and dark. The oud is relatively western. It's actually surprisingly fresh. No barn door here! It's thick and spicy. I love it!

I like this a lot. This is true niche perfumery. Wouldn’t recommend this for summer. Heavy on the Oud and animalic notes. Definitely not blind buy safe. 8/10

A rather animalic oud. Very smoky one. Smell reminds me of the fire and smoke scent in Zoologist Trex. If you like animalic oud and incense/smoke, this one’s for you. Got this because it’s being discontinued. About eight hours on skin and well over twelve on clothing.

One word to describe this scent: Medieval! It has a strong animalic top note with some Cade (which is artistic in of itself) The 90’s freshie lover in me fights back on this one. I will explore it more as sometimes scents grow on me over time. My partner enjoys it, he also likes Bull’s Blood by Imaginary Author’s that also has an animalistic vibe. This scent is pure art, not necessarily something I would reach for unless I was in a gothic “get the fuck away” state of mind.

Smells too fecal with an undercurrent of synthetic cleaning fluid. As if you were trying to clean a dirty bathroom. Definitely not a blind buy.

Disgusting. Cade oil, scatol and mix of dirty musks. No oud to be found. Really the worst scent of the entire range.
