Patchouli in Rye

Canptivating smell. Sensual Patchouli in Rye brings confidence and femme fatale vibes without being gothic or animalic. It has a sweet woody balsamic nature. It's linear in a good way, complex and well blended. Love, love natural scent❤️ It made me addictively sniffing my wrist over and over again. Update: received a small bottle. From the spray smell is even better than from a small sample dabber. What a gorgeous smell. Update 2: I needed to come back to this review as I discovered that this is more refined version of the Tango by Masque Milano.

Rich, bright, and multifaceted. The wood and vanilla make it decidedly cold weather-leaning, but the peppery and sharp green makes it different from all the other woody vanillas out there. Although it's a smoky patchouli, it doesn't say hippie to me at all. It's very handsome and refined.

Perfectly nice but forgettable rose-tobacco-patchouli. Geranium brings some levity but cannot fight off the slightly stiflingly warm cloud of vanilla, labdanum and tobacco. The tobacco does have a delicious cherry facet. This reminds me of the more interesting Bread + Roses by pearfat. In that perfume, a sharper geranium and buoyant yeastiness balance a very similar nutmeg-labdanum accord more successfully. Still, this is a pleasant, inoffensive wintertime rose for those who prefer their florals subtle.

Patchouli in rye? More like funk and rose in rye. If you like animal and rose this one is for you. If you are after patchouli look elsewhere. It started out with reasonable projection but after two hours it is largely gone.

Despite the name, I find this to be heavy on the rose. I find this to mostly be rose, amber, patchouli, tobacco and nutmeg--also feels like there's mahogany wood in this. There are noticeable aroma chemicals (ambroxan or maybe the CO2 extracts?) that ruin this for me. The mid and drydown remind me of Egoiste (with nutmeg subbing for cinnamon) and Shalini Amorem Rose.

This seductive fragrance opens so brightly. Within minutes.. The scent profile immediately changes. It is spicy, addictive, sexy, warm & alluring. I'm am in complete love with it. Although described as dark, I have to say it is anything but. It is a fantastic creation of woody and lovely. Makes me want to try everything this company has to offer. It is just soooo GOOD!

This smells incredibly, well, woody. Scents of wood is a pretty on the nose name. The other thing I smell is patchouli. It’s a very clean, spicy, green, minty, patchouli. The woody facets can kind of morph into tobacco and even leather to me. I don’t get anything else note wise here. This is very much on the masculine side and it isn’t too dark or over bearing.
