I Am Scotch & Soda Eau de Parfum

I got a sample in a store a few years ago and accidentally spilled it in my eyeglasses pouch. For a few good months I could not get my mind off of this fragrance while constantly being reminded of how nice it smelled. After the scent was gone from the pouch I kept smelling my glasses just to remember the fresh and optimist vibe it gave me. While I am writing this review I just received a new bottle from a friend and will continue to hunt it down on various websites (I suppose they don’t make it anymore or that’s the idea I got from their official stores in Europe.) To me it is like a sweet floral dream that reminds me of the lightness of being.

I found the mens version for £15, I couldn't resist a blind buy as I love Scotch & Soda as a brand. There's actually quite a lot going on here - subtle hint of mint, fairly strong citrus but also has an aquatic/spiced body. Fairly complex for a not super expensive fragrance. Very nice, 7.5/8 out of 10. Worth the money for something a bit different and dare I say niche?

Nice, inoffensive summer scent. Opens up fruity, dries down to a musky, smooth fruity scent. Nothing unique but casual everyday smell for the warmer months. Longevity and projection are good.

This one reminds me of the popular fragrances of the 1990s (Aramis w, Cool Water w, Donna Karan etc.) with their ubiquitous mixture of 'fruity' calones on top, and strong musks in the background. However, there is something in this scent that also recalls Black Afgano - probably the overdose of cashmeran, which is very prominent from the first spray right to the drydown. On the upside, this scent is very very strong, durable and good value for money; on the downside, it is not very pleasant, unless one's a fan of Black Afgano and its countless clones.

I need this perfume for summer yummy
