Unforgivable Women

Years ago i bought this fragrance at a Ross Dress for less store. It was the first cheapie celebrity body spray i ever purchased. I liked it so much, i bought moe body sprays, EDTs and body powders. This whole time i'd been thinking the name of this frag was Sean John UNFORGETTABLE Women (not Unforgivable Woman). Back when this was launched in 2007, just the name is odd...but maybe not so odd as to what we know now about the "Diddler". From every new release of information on this scumbag (i know, i know, "Innocent until proven guilty"), every woman/girl in his life (and some men/boys) have been unforgiven in his eyes. So much so he felt the need to lash out at them. His mother thought she was doing a good thing by putting him in an all. boys Catholic school under the "watchful eyes" of priests. Ummmm? Not making excuses for him as a grown man, but a strange childhood plus a meteoric rise to fame and fortune has its downfalls. Its amazing that so many people , for so many years knew what was going on and the only one who kept saying things and not going to the "parties", 50cent is still alive to say "told you so". And everyone else is either six feet under, took the fall and sitting or sat in jail OR got paid their "hushmoney". Even though i really like the way this fragrance smells and the fact that one day my first almost gone bottle of Ross bought body spray I paid $7.99 for could be worth big bucks, i am strongly contemplating pouring all the bottles I have down the drain. Or selling them and donating the proceeds to a battered woman's shelter or a legitimate organization that helps stop the sex trafficking of little girls and boys (and not one that was run by Diddy''s best boyfriend, A. K., another scumbag that seems to pal around with sexual deviants like D. M.). Hmmmm, again? Hollywood is just full of them, isnt it? I was born and raised in Hollywood. My mom worked for celebrities and told me stories, but nothing as horrific as the ones that ive been hearing lately. So whats the consensus? Dump the stuff? Or sell it and give the proceeds to a legitimate cause?

I blind bought this because it was cheap and because there was a tester of the same in the men's, and I liked that. This, however, was much different. This scent comes off as straight powder at the top, and I am not a huge fan of strong powdery perfumes (I've started to appreciate them at least). So I set it aside. Then I was struggling with another bright, citrus & white floral fragrance which was just too sharp for me, and I was beginning to hate it. So I spritzed some of this on the top, and WOW! Once I did that I decided to start wearing the Unforgivable by itself, and this is such an under-appreciated fragrance. Yes, there's everything PLUS the kitchen sink in here, but it is beautifully blended. In fact, it comes off as a sort of blanket of scent with the musk, gentle flowers, and citrus taking center stage. I wonder if it was necessary to have all the notes it includes, but whatever the reason, this works for me. It's a celebrity fragrance that isn't sickeningly sweet and fruity. It's more serious and more mature and definitely more sexy. But best of all, you can layer this with just about any fragrance you can think of, and it will shroud an overpowering or sharp scent in its pillowy softness. And if it's too soft of a fragrance, this will pick up the notes and pull them out. At least that's my experience. Last thing... I sprayed this on me at 5 in the evening, and at nearly 1am as I'm writing this, it's still going strong without holding my wrist to my nose. Super lasting!

Oh, this perfume. I guess I'm odd having always hated the name, as I like to think I lean towards "virtuous" on the romantic spectrum. But it was a freebie back when I got it circa 2012 and it's been on my top shelf ever since. NOW, I feel Unforgivable for still wearing it, and starting the stockpile. I was always hunting for something that reminded me of a perfume my friend's mother wore in the 80's (now believed to be some iteration of Bal a Versailles), and my all time signature, Clarins Elysium. Somehow this hit the mark for years. My husband jokingly calls it "Old French Whore," but that may be the most accurate description. I got stopped by a couple of young guys wearing $300 Nikes on a roller coaster platform once, who had to know what I was wearing. Being the oversharer, I told them exactly what it was, how cheap it was, and it was by "You know, Puff Daddy." I don't think they did. Yes, at this point, I'd like to set the dude on fire. But I just have to get past that and keep loving this perfume. Maybe next time I get complimented I'll dodge the question, or just say Puff Daddy again for the quizzical stare. If you like overly complicated musky florals that aren't expensive, don't smell expensive, but leave a mysteriously sexy trail, stock up now, because it turns to pure alcohol pretty quickly (but still dries down strong!).

I've had this perfume since it was first released - still the same bottle, now half-full - and it's easily my favourite. I note that the negative reviews are quite recent, but before that there were lots of people who loved it. It seems the ingredients have been changed. Obviously I can't comment on the changed version but the one I have is easily my favourite perfume. It's sensual and sexy and has great staying power, although I do tend to spray on my clothes, not my skin. It's one of the few perfumes I've really 'clicked' with and felt like it's just right for me. I love the soft subtleness of it after it's been on a few hours. I even bought a mini version so I could take it on holiday with me! I have recently bought 'Unforgivable Woman Eau Fraiche', which is very similar but lighter...I still can't decide which I prefer out of the two, but I adore this scent!

Update: Jan 15 2017 This is a very unique, soft, and inoffensive fragrance. I've gotten many compliments while wearing this. By me being a guy, others guys couldn't tell that this is a perfume until I told them. I underestimated the longevity of this fragrance based on reviews from fragrantica so I sprayed a little more than usual before I went to work and my coworkers told me that they were able to locate me based on the trail of this fragrance and this was 6 hours into my shift. I would recommend that guys try this. It's not fruity or sweet. It's more citrus, green and floral to my nose at least. I was scared to try this fragrance because of the bad reviews this had but my mom just purchased this fragrance and it smells absolutely incredible so now I'm for sure purchasing this.

I wanted to take balloons away but then I thought, if this scent has changed, maybe it doesn't last now, maybe it IS a weak watered down version? I think mine is so rich and sexy sexy sexy, and mysterious. I don't think it's smells anything like a man unless he's been with a woman wearing this! Oh this is just plain down and dirty sexy to me. The very first whiff I about fell to my knees. This is a perfect sex perfume just like D&G's red cap. This however does not last near as long, and that's a shame. It's the only fault I have with this one, IF it's a fault because it does last quite awhile! I just love it so much I don't want it die down or fade out at all. GOOD job Sean! Gosh, I can't even think of a woman right away that is beautiful enough to properly portray this.

I bought this for my Mum as a birthday present around three years ago and we were both amazed at the smell. FINALLY a celebrity fragrance that doesn't smell like a bag of pick n mix sweets! My Mum doesn't like sweet perfumes at all and prefers more woody aromatic scents, and that exactly what this is. It is classic smelling but still very modern, it is similar to Estee Lauder 'Sensous' but better. Anyone of any age could wear this scent, although i would say it is a more evening fragrance as it is very strong. It can be picked up quite cheap now too ( around £25.00 for a 75ml). Please dont be put off by the P diddy's presence, this is a well thought out fragrance where he has thought long and hard about how people want women to smell.

A few perfumes have been popular on here and I've heard several mention it's worn too often by too many people. Since my first review I have noticed this scent on several women on different occasions, and it was lovely each and everytime. This is the first scent I've ever noticed to be "popular". It seems to be the younger 20-35 girls/women. I'm so in love with this one and thought it horribly sexy, but I'm finding through others that you can be horribly sexy even at a funeral! I think if this were worn too heavily it wouldn't be appropriate but that hasn't been the case. This scent is better than Sean's vocal career! The ultimate best in all my celebrity scents!

I find this scent amazing. Super basic but reminds me of my mom’s and sister’s old perfumes. I bought it and I’m not ashamed of that, I truly don’t care and I wanted this fragrance for so long. Bought this and the body mist for super cheap online and this was an amazing blind buy. Classic everyday scent for summer and fall, not overpowering, not sickeningly sweet (coming from somebody who adores sickeningly sweet) its warm with a slight hint of sweetness and maybe even musk (somehow), woody, earthy and generally I would consider this a clean scent. This will definitely be my back to school scent and I will update about the longevity and sillage of this.

This was my signature daytime fragrance until it became hard to find. I still have a small bottle of it in my closet. To me, it's a strong powdery fragrance, but perhaps I subconsciously smell the woody side of it, too, because I love woody fragrances. I'm not savvy on picking out notes or even determining what season something is appropriate for. I did "replace" this fragrance with CK Reveal, which I will review on that fragrance, but I don't like it quite as much as this. I agree with the person who said it's tough to overdo this fragrance, so anyone with a heavy spritzing hand, this one will serve you well.

Wore this perfume religiously around 2014-2016 and I loved it. Never have i received so many compliments on a perfume, literally had friends, tutors, family, people in the street stopping me to ask what the perfume is. I got through about 10 30ml bottles before I brought a large one. I do think it has a slight reformulation but it still smells almost the same to me. Lasting power was always about 8-9 hours as I did spray it quite liberally and it lingers on clothes for a lot longer. The scent itself to me is a powdery violet and sandalwood with bursts of orange blossom every now and then. Iconic!

I actually really love this one. I am surprised at how nice this is. For some reason I would walk past the tester of this time after time and ignore it because I thought...ehhh but today I was in Kohl's and I gave it a test. On my skin it is tropical, creamy, woody and somewhat oriental if that makes any sense at all. It is really sexy. I think I am going to have to get a bottle...and wear it this summer. So far it has pretty good lasting power as well...I keep getting whiffs of it off of my wrist and shirt.

I too got this on Clearance from Walgreens a while back. This smells expensive even though it wasn't. It smells, classy and sophisticated. The sillage is pretty good and so is the lasting power. I could really smell the sandalwood, pear and musk. It also has a masculine vibe yet it is sexy and feminine at the same time. This is not my typical fragrance as I usually go for the fruit and sweet types.

This is lovely! One of those fragrances that I will always keep in my vast collection. The scent is enchanting. This is a woman who is confident, sexy, and financially secure--a boss! It projects well and radiates amber. To me, it is appropriate for every occasion--especially, work and 'Happy Hour.'

Finally got to try this! I dont get BO like some have said. I do get violets and powder. This could be something from Guerlain. Spot on Incolence and Idylle. It does smell more expensive than a celeb fragrance. Im actually quite impressed. It is not a girly sweet scent. Its for a woman.

This was my signature perfume for years. I always recieved so many compliments on it. I can't quite pin point any other perfume it smells like, so I guess I'm going to have to find a completely new signature fragrance since this has been discontinued :(

Okay, this is the BEST, celeb perfume on the market as far as originality and strength. I'm so, not one for a lot of celeb perfumes, but this one is the most unique and interesting I've found. Getting the large bottle, why not when it's under 30 bucks.

I've worn this perfume on & off for 2 years - not a scent I would have ever thried if it wasn't for smelling it on a friend. Never tried any other SJ fragrances but this one gets a thumbs up from me!

I really love this. I smell creamy, woody, bitter-orange and I can't get enough of it. Quite linear, but then I don't mind because I love it. Intimate sillage, and moderate longevity on my skin.

This one is a really nice combination of different notes - I discover a new facet of it every day. One of these facets is like Intimately Woman by David Beckcham. Just more balanced and richer.

It’s all about body chemistry. Some women can wear Shalimar and it smells wonderful on them. Other women it just doesn’t work with their body chemistry and it’s awful. It’s all about chemistry.

I love this fragrance - to me it's warm and seductive. Like sweet incense and citrus on cashmere.. but I cant wear it anymore - an ingredient in it seems to trigger migraines in me :(

I bought this for like $63 at the mall in McComb Mississippi in 2008 or 2009....Still have some left and as of June 2013....Smells so good Love it. More for grown women.

Its not a scent I would wear all the time but def one of my fav's. Creamy and soft! Im surprised at all the negative reviews but scents have diff effects on each person.

I was shopping at the mall with my mom and one of her sisters, my aunt, in 2008, looking for something to wear to a wedding we were all invited to. I was not yet into perfume. I had a bottle of Amarige that I'd wear on special occasions and that was all I needed at the time. I had no interest in testing perfumes. I believe we were in Macy's, on our way out of the store, when my mom saw a display of Unforgivable Women and tested it. She loved it and said it was one of the nicest perfumes she'd smelled. I thought it was nice, too. She was trying to decide to buy it or not, then decided not to since she was not a fan of Diddy. Over the years she would sometimes mention how nice the perfume was. I asked if she wanted me to buy it online when it hit the discount sites. She said no. Finally a few months ago, I ordered a full size bottle and gave it to her as a gift. She still loves it. She said it smells pretty much the same way she remembers in the store. I can't recall how it smelled since I wasn't really into perfume. But it made an impression on her and I remember how much she liked it. She wears it now and it does have a nice smell. It's a warm, powdery perfume. I'm not a fan of very powdery perfumes, but this one isn't bad to me. I think I get the woody notes. It's not a strong floral type and I'm glad. It is a different scent than anything else she or I own. I can tell when she just put it on because it fills a room. It has less sillage after it dries down, but you get occasional whiffs of it. This morning she had it on and I thought it also left a sweet smell in its trail. I'm glad I could make her happy and that she still enjoys this perfume. It's hard to believe it's been several years since she first sampled it. Whenever we spoke about perfumes, she would usually mention this one! And she still loves it so I say it's a winner. I haven't tried it on myself yet, but I will do that and update this.

The lady at my local perfume shop is a mysical master of skin chemistry. She insisted I try this on. At first...eh... I didn't fall head over heels. I smelled my wrist an hour later and decided to buy a small bottle. Over the past couple months this has quickly become a favorite. Such a soft, warm scent without being sweet. I fall more and more in love with this with every spray. It seems almost insane to me, that this perfume is not better known and more sought after. I'm kinda glad though :) I don't want everyone to smell like me. I also took advice from a coment below and have layered it with other scents. My DKNY Be Delicious which I find 100% unwearable in weather less that swelteringly hot, becomes carmely and interesting when combined with this Sean John.

This is one of the few celebrity scents that I enjoy! I find its staying power is somewhat lacking, but for the price that's not much to complain about. The opening is a tad sharp, even a bit synthetic and overwhelming at first. But after five to ten minutes it mellows out into an alluring, sexy smolder. I agree with the other reviewers who found this scent a bit masculine. I get that impression a little bit too. It's powdery, woody, and a bit spicy. On me, I don't get any of the creamy/fruity notes that some other reviewers are smelling...in fact it's difficult for me to pick out individual notes in this one. Good scent, great value.

Aside from all those people down there saying its cheap lol it doesn't smell cheap it smells good actually.I don't buy musician perfumes my thing is stick to your day job and if its being a musician stick to that CAUSE FRAGRANCE IS NOT YOUR THING but I think Puffy or whoever is in his team did a good job on this perfume and the mens cologne smells better. Its an acquiring scent.. slightly sweet but ehh.. idk its a scent that you will have to buy and figure out whether you will like it or not. If you buy musician perfumes all day and night(cheap perfumes pretty much) you def don't have a say on this perfume.IJS

I purchased this over two years ago after trying it very time I went through Macy's. I finally hunkered down and purchased it but then I rarely use it. I recently rediscovered it and now I remember what I like about it and also why I shy away. Initial blast is strong and busy. You smell everything! Wood, flowers, fruit, etc, it's allover the place in its composition. But then the dry down is beautifully creamy and heavy on the wood with great longevity. So I've decided, my compromise to Unforgivable is that I'm going to wear this one for work but spray it at least an hour before I leave the house.

First impression was that it had a lot of musk, but I don't see that listed as a note here? Maybe my nose is interpreting creamy sandalwood as musk? I like it quite a bit, and I get the sensuous vibe, but staying so close to the skin it tends to disappear under clothing. It's winter here now, this might be preferable in warm weather with more skin exposed! --------------------------------- Wearing again - yes! This is really nice. Soft fruit, creamy wood, beautiful on skin. Sniffing up close almost a light chocolate note. This could end up getting a lot of use. :)

Putting the controversy aside, this scent is not that bad. I wouldn't say it's FANTASTIC, but it's not as bad as a lot of people paint it out to be. It's pretty sexy and smells like a rich person. That's all I can say, I can't detect a single note. Personally, I wouldn't spend my money on it. I got it as a freebie from someone trying to cleanse their warehouse and avoid scandals. If you're looking for something that nobody else will own, this is it-just hope nobody asks you what you're wearing lol

This is delish! Juicy fruit with creamy florals. Somewhat cosmeticky feel to it as well. Very addictive too. Pear, raspberry, sandalwood and fresh flowers. Musk emerges with time, fresh clean floral musky drydown on the skin, but on clothes I get that tropical cocktail and flowers vibe. Seems like gazillion ingredients in here, translates to scary strong stuff, not at all; only half are noticeable, that is the better half. Like it, yes, but why so expensive for celeb fume? Lasts 4-5 hours.

I had a small tester years ago that I used up quickly because I loved it. So when I found it online in the 30ml bottle, I snapped it up right away. What I found though, was not what I remebered. It took me a few hours of wearing it to realize what was wrong. It's not a scent that fits me very well, but it smells just like the Date edt that my gran had when I was a child. She passed last year and I miss her, so I will keep the bottle and wear it to remember her by.

i purchased this when it came out mentioning there is coconut in it from the review i've read about this - here not listed though... anyway at least it has a tropical touch which smells slightly coconutty to me! it's very nice, fresh and sparkling fisrt and creamy on the drydown. very loveable for summer. lasting power average, sillage good! it holds better on clothes and hair than on skin. a delicious one if it lasts longer would be top!

For some strange reason, this unforgivable perfume smells absolutely gorgeous on me! I've been looking for a niche summery perfume quite some time while totally ignoring this exotic beauty. Very sensual, comforting, clean creamy smell. Unforgivable is unique and very appealingly beautiful. While taking my long beach walks through the night I can see my self getting to bottom of my big bottle very soon :) Love it!

It is a rather unique fragrance featuring soft, buttery sandalwood, pear and vanilla. It is somewhat linear but that is by no means a bad thing. It is creamy and woody and there are no harsh edges. For an EDP, longevity could be better, but is affordable enough (and inoffensive enough) to permit a heavy hand with the spritzer. Suitable for most occasions, but personally I prefer it for daytime wear.

I've worn this since 2009. I'm now 27 and still love it. I get a ton of compliments. Odd though most people that smell it from the bottle don't love it at all. I think it just settles really well on my skin. Smells woody, fresh, amber and floral. More powdery and woody on first spray, then dries down to a sweet amber with a tiny tiny hint of vanilla. Lasts all day on my skin and hair.

Very pretty scent that dries down to a creamy, soft floral. It's definitely a romantic scent to wear on a date or to bed. The perfume title is misleading as this is not for an "unforgivable woman." This isn't a bad girl scent but more of a good girl scent. This is an innocent fragrance that won't offend anyone and will actually bring people closer to you. I like it a lot.

I bought this as a replacement for the unobtainable Calandre & Shalimar.I didn't like any of the floral fragrances so out of sheer desperation the sales girl let me smell this.A big halleluah went up when I said I liked something.I find it subtle,not too overpowering & longlasting.I love the way the fragrance fades to this hint of spice,so sexy.

Funny, but it is not something you wait from Sean John. It is sophisticated, mild,little bit powdery still confident.I really like it, even it's sillage is moderate. Woody and creamy and the sandal can be stronglly detected. Wonderful, if you like frags with sandal. After drying it is very simpilar to Estée Lauder Sensuous Noir.

I got this as a present as a teenager. It wasn't something I would normally have gone for. But it I was pleasantly surprised. I got stopped and asked about it a lot. For me it was fun and flirty. The only thing I didn't like was that it faded quickly. You couldn't smell it after 3 hours.

Aleluia! A celebrity perfume that is not rancid and synthethic!! I like this one a LOT. This perfume works in a very subtle way on my skin, its very creamy, woody and reminds me of the smell of cocoa powder. Perfect for office wear, makes me feel confident and feminine.

I don't understand how one can dislike this, it is such a versatile fragrance, at first floral and afterwards woodsy, a little masculine and creamy. men love this scent, so I've heard. This is one of my favs, Diddy did a good job.

I just couldn't not believe it but I actually like this one, its really nice and clean smelling. I usually do not like celebrity fragrances, but this one is very likable.

when tested on paper really liked it but when i put it my skin didn't work fo me. The scent fell apart very fast and dissapeared....
