Lavanda Intense

Lavanda Intense was launched in December 2018, being the fourth fragrance of the line created by perfumer Jenny Soares for its independent brand, Segredos de Perfumaria. This time, the concept was to create a more mature version, as if the lavender line had moved from the youth to a grown-up point. And this is also linked to the new direction the perfumer wants to give to her brand, paving the way for new fragrances that will be launched in the second half of 2019. Lavanda Intense is a fragrance classified as floriental. It has notes of tuberose, lavender, lily, ylang-ylang, cedar, amber, musk, and frankincense. It was designed for the female audience and brought a more sensual and striking side compared to previous fragrances. When touches the skin, it is strong, full of powdery nuances and with a certain aspect of wax, projecting absurdly and exhaling a perfume that smells like a floral bouquet mixed with sunscreen. This smell is very common in fragrances that bring the tuberose, especially when combined with the note of ylang-ylang. The lily also has this facet of wax, which is quite noticeable. After a few minutes, the cedar appears and brings a lightness and, I dare say, a certain freshness to the fragrance. Then, evolution shows a more mysterious side and the amber is present, as well as musk, which gives depth and confers sensuality. The powdery side blends into the smoky facets of frankincense that has been cleverly crafted to be smooth. Otherwise, it could make the perfume look very smoky and masculine. Lavanda Intense has a vintage aura that made me relive some olfactory memories and consequently reminded me of a 1978 classic: Anaïs Anaïs (Cacharel). I don't like comparisons, but the similarity is great, especially in the early stages. It is a perfume for women who love lavender creations, but who always expect more and look for other facets besides the relaxing or soothing aroma, so common since the time of the classic colonies. Finally, I leave my compliment on the olfactory identity created, having the lavender as a key ingredient, so noble and strongly represented in the world perfumery.
