Lavanda Lumina

Lavanda Lumina was launched in 2017, being the second fragrance of the line of lavenders created by the perfumer Jenny Soares for its independent brand, Segredos de Perfumaria. The concept speaks of freshness, morning light and radiant moments. So, Lumina! Lavanda Lumina is a perfume classified as citrus-aromatic and floral. It has notes of bergamot, lavandin, lime, verbena and green accord, on the head. In the body of the fragrance were combined notes of lavender, jasmine, everlasting flowers, orange blossom, and narcissus. And at the base, we have notes of amber, patchouli, and ylang-ylang. Within the three fragrances of this line of lavender, Lavanda Lumina is, in my opinion, the one that has the most intriguing composition and, at the same time, the least interesting fragrance, at least for those who wears it. This is because the blend of citrus notes and lavender, especially the orange blossom and all its effervescent content, tends to result in a strange-smelling scent, commonly related to cleaning products (such as those used to polish furniture). It is not something isolated from this company since I had the same impression with other fragrances of the same style, created by other professionals. However, I remember that the trail left by the fragrance, the first time I wore it, earned me praise and its uniqueness was what impacted most. And the truth is that Lavanda Lumina requires warmer moments in order to be appreciated and patience to show off its floral side, which is the brightest in the composition. I must confess that I am curious to know what this fragrance would be like without the notes of lavandin and lavender. I think we would have a floral variation for those classics that explore neroli. Finally, trying to maintain the usual impartiality, I can only say that Lavanda Lumina is not my favorite of the line, but it will please those who like the smell of old soaps (those wrapped in silk paper), much sought after by who travels to Europe.
