Seiva de Alfazema Lavanda Extra

An unbeatable nostalgic right out of the shower scent. My grandma still gifts me and my brother a bottle every christmas and it makes my year - nothing feels as good as showering right before bed and sleeping smelling like Alfazema. In the past couple of years, they have changed the art and switched the bottle from glass to plastic, but I feel like the formula is the same. I just kept an old glass bottle and will do so for the rest of my life!

As marianafuzaro well said, it’s a granny scent. A very popular cologne of the past, Alfazema is in fact a cheap cologne, too simple compared to all other colognes and parfums of Granado company.

É o nostálgico "perfume de vó", mas não acredito que envelheceu bem. Hoje em dia as pessoas não gostam mais dessas "colônias de supermercado". Atualmente é mais usado por pessoas que acreditam nas supostas propriedades místicas da lavanda, já que ele contem o óleo essencial de lavanda natural, é barato e fácil de encontrar, na forma de banhos e até adicionado na água de limpar o piso, o que supostamente afastaria maus fluidos da casa.

If this were sold for R$100 BRL people would pay and find it refreshing. They would notice that its formulation contains more than just simply lavender essence. Then, perhaps, people would even compare it to Libre from YSL and praise its cold spiciness. It's simple as that. Put it at a higher than reasonable price, and people will pay for it with a smile on their faces. Sell it for the right price and people will spit on it with their prejudices, most prominently AGEISM. I'm 38 and, honey, if you have class you can pull out almost any fragrance elegantly.

One of the greatest classics that managed to break an entire era and arrive in the present day without changing a "nothing" of its existence. Even passing through several companies in the same segment of perfumery, Seiva de Alfazema managed to keep in its original essence, records of a life, generations and memories that not only time is/was able to narrate, but also a whole set of artifacts animated and inanimate that made up the structure of such a story and experienced the heart of it on different grounds. Pure nostalgia... I wish I could still smell the 70/80's formula - I do feel a little tweak here and there in the most current ones - It was my grandma everyday scent for decades - and even she said it was different while she was still here. It was fresh but delicate, slightly feminine leaning. But most of all, it was her smell. I'd probably burst into tears, I still have that scent inside my memory (and my heart...).

The fact that this is cheap doesn't mean it isn't good and it also isn't a "granny scent" like some users have mentioned. I'm 27 and I have it in my collection for sentimental reasons and because I'm a fan of vintage fragrances. It smells very comforting and clean. Saying something like that is rather disrespectful to the "grannies" out there.
