Eau Sucrée Salée (Vanille + Fleur de Sel)

I am normally a bit scared when I get perfumes for gifts since I am not the easiest to buy for but I loved this Christmas present. It is simple, without being basic since the beautiful vanilla scent has a nice salty background. The saltiness actually gives it a bit more elegance than a straight-up sweet vanilla. Suitable for fall, winter and as a warm scent for summer (although I still have to test how it performs in the heat). Super pleasant scent. Longevity is not amazing but definitely decent and it projects intimately to one arm's lengh while it does. After researching, really happy about the price because it is great value and something I would definitely repurchase more ofyen since it is affordable. 7.5/10

After I finished my first bottle, I searched for this perfume everywhere. Eventhough still im looking for dupes.. :( First of all this scent screaming WINTER! I dont know why many ppl categorized it as a summer perfume? Because it is pretty heavy. I get it why some people dont like it. Its salty bourbon vanilla. I think its pretty simillar to yves rochers bourbon vanilla body mist. But let me tell you, longevity and the sillage are insane! For me this scent one of kind. Its unique, mysterious, bitter vanilla. Its not sweet, more like salty and bitter. I felt so dominant when i wore it! BUT IT IS NOT A SAFE BLIND BUY! it doesnt smell like caramel latte nor sweet vanilla. Its bitter and salty vanilla

For me, this is Tom Ford Metallique dupe down to the core. A complex one. I love that it’s marketed as unisex and I would personally recommend this to men, to me it smells mysterious, intriguing and sensual, yet gives off that dangerous boy vibes. It’s vanilla, very sweet but you can smell the saltiness right away, almost metalic notes. After a couple of hours it might smell a little bit coconuty, similar to sunscreen smell on burnt skin and not in a bad way. Sillage is a beast with this one. Definitely recommend.

I love it, it's such a sexy perfume, the sea salt makes it skinlike. It is on the feminine side but it could work well with men too. The complexity of the salty notes are surprisingly there, so it's not an overwhelmingly sweet perfume. Picture this, you are tanned and still have salty hair on your vacation, you're partner is ordering you a desert at the restaurant. Lol I'm not a very good storyteller for sure but you get the vibe. Very good for the price.

This is an amazing perfume, unfortunately, discontinued. It smells like salt and vanilla (not like salted caramel, no), where the salt note is like a real sea salt, and vanilla is sweet and or annoying at the same time. Those two notes are friends and not mixing each other. Possibly bergamot is very helpful. I hope one day Sephora brings it back for sometime. Really sad that there’s no more possibilities to buy it.

I had this perfume and I finished it it was my signature scent. I made memories with my boyfriend with this. If anyone knows where i can get this or know something similar let me know plz <3

Only thing I regret is not buying the biggest version. Truly a unique salty fragrance I loved in spring, summer and lasted me a little bit of autumn.

This smells just like Mancera Holidays I prefer this one though because it is a tad bit sweeter

Stop the press: I actually like a vanilla scent! I’ll backtrack for context... Years ago, when this line was first released in my country, a friend bought them all. She liked and kept this (her skin does wonders to even the simplest vanilla note) but decided to gift all others to her friends. She matched the fragrances herself, and when I went over to pick mine (I was the first, yay!) I got to smell all the others as well, and even at that very moment, I was shocked to find I very much liked this. Shocked, because I’d call myself a notorious vanilla hater. Time and time again I have turned away from perfumes because they had vanilla, and particularly because they did not actually blend it. At least to my nose, vanilla often (and tragically) dominates over all the other notes, and becomes the only detectable one. My dislike of vanilla goes a long way back, as I’ve always found it far too suffocatingly sweet. Not here. It’s odd to even imagine being able to smell salt, but there’s no other way to describe it: this is salted vanilla. The salt not only balances, but also shaves off that suffocating sweetness from vanilla. The end result is something unexpectedly beautiful. I actually regret not getting myself a bottle when this was still sold in my country! And that should be testament enough — if you generally like vanilla, you will adore this. I’d say this would be the safest blind buy for anyone, really! Having two other fragrances from this line, I can attest they’re surprisingly long lasting, and depending on your skin’s chemistry with the particular notes, can even have a decent sillage. It’s more likely for the scent to be lost on you towards the end of the day, but it can be detected by others. As far as I recall they come in 3 sizes: 15 ml, 30 ml, 50 ml. I haven’t tried the 15 ml bottles, but they’re all pretty compact, with thick glass (so even if you wish to re-spray you can bring it with you) and a nice nozzle that has a finer mist.

Despite having few notes, this fragrance does have some evolution. At its opening, we do not notice a very powerful smell of vanilla and it is also masked by bergamot giving a slightly strange result at first. I atomized it in the store and went to run some errands, without paying attention to it. After two hours or so I smelled my wrists and I could get the scent of salty vanilla very well, but it’s not excessively salty, nor is it a very marine or aquatic perfume, it is quite well balanced. As I liked the drying result, I bought it because the largest size was reduced to €11. Later I have been testing it at home and my perception of the final result is the same although in its evolution I have perceived new things. I still think that as soon as you spray it, the smell is not 100% vanilla and may upset some people who expect something more gourmand, and when approximately 10 minutes pass, the smell that remains on the skin is the Play doh with which I played as a child. This lasts perhaps for half an hour or 3/4 of an hour, but then it ends up disappearing and a well-balanced fragrance of natural vanilla remains on the skin, with a salty touch, without going overly sweet or becoming a marine fragrance. I would not recommend blind buying it despite the low price, because it is definitely a special scent.

Soo lucky, I scored a full bottle for 15€ on Vinted, not really knowing that it's this discontinued gem, I was just intrigued by the name. It smells like licking melted icecream off the back of your hand after a swim in the ocean, the sun is starting to go down and you are in blissful summer mode.

Smells like suncreens to me, I believe it has some flower notes maybe Tiare flower and also I smell some sweet coconut notes. Very well done, has amazing performance for the price.

Bought this as a cheapie vanilla to have, but its more intense than i expected. works great, even through a bit cloying. meh fragrance for me.

Love it ! It smells like a fainted version of Hypnotic poison without the licorice note (that i hate on HP)

We really enjoyed this at the store when we tried for the first time with my sister who is obsessed with vanilla and gourmands. After ordering online a week later it was really bland and kind of nauseating because of lack of sweetness. Sillage is quite powerful and staying power is not bad. This do not drink line is not bad at all they don’t smell cheap or artificial but they don’t smell nicely done either.

Sillage is REALLLY, unbelievably huge with this one. I had just bought it to have a cheap gourmand to play with, but how can it be this strong? It's not about my skin, it's just about the scent molecules. I won't talk about the blending or other important things which hint at a perfume's qualifications but it's still a cute drugstore fragrance to me, don't be unfair! Just give it a try, it is worth it.

I was expecting really strong vanilla with some caramel notes, so a perfume that reminded me of sunny beaches and summer. Instead, it just smells like an air freshener I had a couple of years ago; I sense strong sea notes. It's not bad but it's not that good either, but it's affordable and good for some occasions

The vilest concoction I've tried in a long while! I was shocked at how bad it smelled. Instant scrubber, BEWARE. Super salty in a way that made me instantly nauseous. This thing shouldn't be on shelves, no joke! Tryin' to save you the same disappointment I suffered in trusting raving reviews on this one.

Do you remember Alice in Wonderland? For some reason the name of this @sephora line of fragrances really reminds me of that! I have tried most of these and while they are all nice Vanille+Fleur de Sel is by far my favorite and one that I will definitely repurchase when this is over! I love the beautiful vanilla with that hint of salt that gives almost an aquatic feel, I am absolutely obsessed with this and cannot put it down since I got it! I know this is often sold out ...the only retailer is Sephora, online or in store and I hear rumour of it being discontinued so get it while you still can! I’m confident this is one of the best affordable vanilla scents out there and I recommend this to anyone who wants a simple but beautiful perfume to use everyday!
