Santal Blanc

This is the perfect sandalwood for those who like clean woods. It is slightly creamy but not as much as e.g. Atelier Cologne Santal Carmin. It is woody but def not as dry-woody as sandal in Tam Dao. It is rather soft, soapy, blended well with a beautiful iris and musks. Can’t detect much of cinnamon. And pink pepper only makes a tiny appearance, otherwise smoothed over by the iris. This is pure elegance, gentle and understated like a second skin but better. Exquisite and balanced. For the soft, enveloping elegant scent category this is one of my top favourites along with Diptyque’s Fleur de Peau. Albeit they differ quite a lot.

Oh yes, this is the kind of Musc I like: clean, airy, slightly powdery. Santal Blanc is both fresh (almost citrusy fresh opening), slightly sweet and elegantly powdery with the iris note. A very clean and delicate Sandalwood scent. Fresh out of the shower or everyday errands scent. Intimate and soft, understated luxurious elegance. The delicate sweetness in Santal Blanc strangely remidns me of Wonder Bouquet Mugler Les Exceptions - that freshly baked buttery brioche of some sort kind of sweet, not the vanilla sugary one. Beautiful.

Beautiful sandalwood scent. Very comforting, like a warm blanket on a cold day. It isn't your typical sandalwood, rather it is soft and nuanced. This is a great sandalwood for those who dislike sandalwood as a note. It isn't loud or in your face. There is a bit of floral present, and it has a soft woody base. To my nose this isn't very far off the original.

Starts off with a fresh, almost green sandalwood-iris combo then takes a peppery-musky iris the lead, in the end sweet cinnamony white Woods and musk. Good projection, longevity about 5 hours. Relatively linear in the end, but very elegant. Such a fine, velvety composition!

Sandalwood in a very musky style, with plenty of pink pepper that creates a rosy-woody blend. The sandalwood in Santal Blanc is the same as that in Santal Majuscule (it is not the dry and "creamy" style sandalwood I was used to). I find Santal Blanc to be the muskier, woodier, non-gourmand version of Santal Maj - they are certainly not dupes but the sandalwood in both compositions are the same. Santal Maj is a thick winter blanket, Santal Blanc may be worn in all the other seasons. The lasting power isn't the best (probably 4-5h total, only projecting the 1h). The projection in the first hour is moderate for me as a chronic oversprayer with skin that loves to absorb scents. My opinion? This is a slightly feminine, wet/jammy sandalwood with the subtle sweetness of human skin, also with savoury qualities that creates a fleshy and lively radiance. For people whose body temperature runs cold like me, for those who don't radiate a personal scent or any body heat period, this fragrance will bring you to life.

First impressions on paper test strip. So smooth and skin like. Fresh yet smoothly warm. Clean skin. Quiet and serene. Will be interested to see how this is on skin. On skin: opens cooler and fresher than expected. Obviously sandalwood is the main player but somehow cooler and more unisex than I'm used to, which may be the musk and pink pepper. Dries down creamier and slightly warmer, a tiny bit sweeter. Definitely suits the look and feel of the Eaux bottles. I did a spray from my small sample on each wrist and on either side of my neck. Sillage is close to the body, longevity around 4 hours or so. This is nice and easygoing and a little bit different.I like it.

What a joke is this perfume? Where's the sandalwood? Where are the other notes? A faint clean scent of freshly sprayed musk and alcohol that disappears completely after 3 minutes! 130 euro for this? I'm really mad at myself for making this blind purchase! Edit: I sprayed the perfume generously on my body and clothes after carefully reading all the reviews. And I waited a while. Nothing! No sandalwood, no iris, no pink pepper, nothing, just clean, very light musk and alcohol. And I'm a nose! I can smell odors that are impossible for others to smell. But are you paid to write these beautiful reviews? The only one who tells the truth is NoseE!

One of my favorite "fresh" takes on sandalwood! This fragrance also has a certain duality, as this plays quite different on skin and on clothes. The name I might say, truly reflects the fragrance. On clothes, the fresher aspect shows with the dominance of iris, clean musk, and pepper. The sandalwood (dry, and non creamy) shines in the background and serves as a sturdy base. On my skin it's the opposite, the sandalwood and spice from the cinnamon and pepper shine forward immediately, leaving the clean musk and iris to slowly show on the dry down. It's basically a clean, skin-but-better feel. Airy and Light with enough tenacity to get through the day.

The addition of citrus on the square bottle Santal Blanc throws off the overall balance, which is disappointing. A somewhat unpleasant herbal scent (a wet mop) is here, like Dihydromyrcenol or Lavender or pine needle nuance from the chemical which is not obvious in the original and when it is mixed with Sandalwood note, it is hideous - yes, this perfume is terrible. Please give the original Santal Blanc back.

very very mild. needs too many sprays. sandalwood is faint. musk dominant. smell of rubbinf alcohol. not a good formulation. not worth the money.

If androids could sweat, this is what I imagine it would smell like. Alternatively, if Apple products could fart.
