Tarab used to be a straight-up Perilleusement votre dupe. Like, I smelled both and thought, "Ah, so this is a ‘which bottle do you like more’ kind of release." Now PV’s in Flacon de Table, Tarab’s got a new bottle... and I’m sitting here wondering: y’all playing musical chairs or what? Scent’s okay-ish. Predictable rose-oud territory with a tiny splash of that signature SL candied fruit vibe, but overall? Meh. If you told me this was an AI-generated rose-oud, I’d believe you. Lutens being Lutens, I just hope they tweaked the formula enough so it doesn’t feel like I’m buying the same juice with a different hat.

I have not smelled Tarab in a gold bell jar bottle. Current launch of Tarab is very simple rose and oud. I was disappointed when I smelled it, expected more originality, sophistication. Périlleusement Vôtre (Gratte Ciel bottle) was more interesting and sophisticated than Tarab.
