Splendida

Older people who remember the gem that was Gloria by Cacharel: try this one and tell me if it doesn't ring the same. It's been sooooo loooong ago, but Gloria was one of my favourites. I only had a 30 ml or 50 ml, I don't remember, but it was too small for what I would have wanted, I adored it. But money was tight and fragrance was expensive, and when it was finished I said I would buy again whenever I'll be able to afford it. Only for it to get discontinued. I've been looking for a dupe ever since, with no luck. Splendida hits really really close to home, the almonds and the amber and it might be just my mind, but there's some cherry there, or some other mix that reads as cherry to me. Or else it's only in my head, and it's a placebo Gloria fake memory. However, if you compare them on the Fragrantica tool, the main accords are almost the same, even though they only share three notes: almond, tonka and cedar. I love it, and for 12 euros a pop, I might just stack up on it.

Splendida, my light! what a perfect name. this may be my favorite fragrance ever. splendida is not quite as girlish as the accords might lead you to believe. this is rich but not cloying, warm but not heavy, with woodsy and nutty notes woven thorough it. quite a bit going on here but it's subtle, it melds, it's far from sharp or pungent. makes me think of cobblestone streets and dusky evenings. a classy perfume for the people, splendida was only 14 euros when i picked it up in italy. if i don't end this review here i'll keep on waxing poetic forever.....

I got this cheap at Shoppers drug mart, $21.99 cdn and I am quite pleased! it does need a few sprays to establish itself, and it is quite classy in my opinion; heavy on the bergamot at first, and up close in first few minutes, I really smell the almondy-peach and peony, and later, cedar, which I love, I have a lot of home fragrances/candles and even cedarwood shampoo. There is some likeness to something I have had before and I just can't put my finger on it, but it had to have been something years ago, because I haven't shopped for perfumes in person since the early 90's. A man could wear this easily. I will wear this often, I consider it a year-round fragrance.

This is really nice, it's bitter unsweet almonds, honey, with a little peach and a little tonka and cedar wood on my skin. I combined/layered it with a heavy smokey leather & labdanum fragance and it's soooo good...The leather and smokeyness gives this a really nice spicy dark edge and depth. This fragance is imo good value for money, I paid 17 euros for the gift set. But I wouldn't pay more thst 20/25 euros for this tbh. It's really nice but also a bit generic and a lot like good girl. It's probably an ok dupe or inspiration on good girl if you are on a budget. Only downside is the longevity on my skin...that's about 3/4 hours. 7/10

A gorgeous, warm scent of tonka beans, peaches and honey. I also clearly smell caramel, though it is not listed here. The caramel is accompanied by a slight bitterness, and it is very beautiful! This scent is very similar to Good Girl, but it has its own features and advantages. For example, very interesting honey note. It's very worthy for its price! I adore Good Girls by Carolina Herrera, this fragrance is of the same level. Longevity and sillage are excellent - I can smell it from morning until late night. Splendida is a real pearl among the budget fragrances. The bottle is very beautiful as well!

OK yes this was another test of patience. I store my perfumes optimally in a cool dry place. After letting it sit it has been more noticeable and lasts. The warm honey, almond cedar dry down with a kiss of peony and peach is delectable. It feels so warm and sensual.

I like this. For now it's very light, which I like, I don't know how similar it is to Good girl but it's a good alternative and very cheap also!! The notes I perceive the most are peach and almond I would say. There is a powdery element with a sweet note on top

The initial spray is sweet and delicious - but I love the dry down so much - honey, almond and tonka bean. So warm and feminine. I WISH it lasted longer because I LOVE that dry down. Maybe I need to let this sit for longer.

As a man, I got this at TJ Maxx to only find out its a feminine fragrance 😭 Might force my girlfriend to wear it for me.

Similar to Good Girl? Really ?
