Best Shakira perfume! I used to be a fan of Elixir and Wild Elixir, but now they smell cheap and like alcohol to me. This one does not, despite the fact that it is super cheap.

this is avery exotic and beautiful perfume, the scent is a bit synthetic so not something to smother your body in. Its perfect for a finishing touch

It's quite peachy, fresh peach a bit like Dreaming by Tommy Hilfiger. I don't get much caramel to be honest it's sweet flowery peach for me.

Summary: As usual with Shakira fragrances, smells more expensive than it costs. Pretty, not groundbreaking but a very solid option. Compares favourably to to several 50 euro perfumes both in how interesting it smells and how generally pleasing it is. Can be worn by women of any age, in my opinion, and is both office-safe and discreetly sexy. Needs re-spraying as it lasts 4 hours. Update: wears differently according to how many sprays I apply. Few sprays: sweetish floral. More sprays: the caramel comes to front, and I have to wait for it to dry down in order to enjoy the soapy floral part, which I prefer here. I am lucky when the caramel does not last strong in my skin (stays strong for 15-20 minutes, then the soapy floral notes take over). Still, the caramel is well done and not nauseating, as the woody notes somewhat balance it. --- Interestingly, this one is mostly a warm clean soapy pink floral in my skin. Wears close to skin. From the notes, I was expecting not to enjoy it much as I am very, very picky with caramel. I am lucky that my skin makes this caramel almost disappear. I do smell the caramel notes but after drying up the caramel stays discreet, like a hum below, just adding a hint of sweetness but not overwhelming the notes. Instead, upon dry-up I smell a watery/airy clean and soapy pink floral. An airy/watery pear note, strong and delicious peony, vague musk and floating white flowers, not of the intoxicating/indolic type, but of the perfumed soap kind, with something very hazy and watery and serene. Lovely! Layers beautifully over skin lotion and sunscreen, and also layers well over white musk. Smells feminine and pretty with just a hint of warm sensuality. Office-appropriate, while it can also be sexy in a cute girl next door way. In my imagination: spring dresses, happy laughs and a picnic in the shade. Reminds me of CH 212 if the fresh green cactus note had been replaced by a discreet warm sweet note instead. Well done!

A perfume where you can't smell individual notes. It's nothing amazing... it is a pretty scent, though very youthful. When I first sprayed this I pictured a 14 year old girl wearing it as she navigates through her first year of high school. You smell citruses, florals, and the sweet accord. As weird as it is...I don't smell caramel specifically. I just smell the sweet accord which actually smells somewhat powdery. It smells more like vanilla and amber mixed. Caramel ALWAYS stands out to me when it's used in perfumery. Some examples being "Viva La Juicy" and Jessica Simpson "Fancy." This however....does not smell like there is a stand out caramel note involved...just the "sweetness" is there as a whole. Anwyay...I voted above with a like because it's pretty. It however, is not something I will wear often. A great gift option for your teenage daughter though as the sweetness will appeal to most in that age demographic, it's playful and youthful without being provocative or sexy, and it's price tag is great. Longevity - About 4 hours but only projects about 1-2 hours of that. Projection - About 1-2 feet for the first hour and a half or so. Overall Score - 6.5/10. Side Note : I saw her "Dance Alegria" perfume in the database (and saw almost no reviews) and when I searched it on Amazon...it was literally their LAST one. So I ordered it as it was only about $30. Will review that one when it arrives in 5-6 days from now. As for this original Dance...I voted above with a like since the scent isn't anything to complain about. It just isn't my personality. But a solid like nonetheless. I spray my pillow with it sometimes at night as it has a sweetness and warmth that is quite nice. In my opinion...her best yet is still the original Elixir with her debut perfume "S" being a close second.

I was given this as a gift and at first I was going to trade it for something else. I usually didn't like gourmands, but I'm starting to get drawn to them now (I guess it's the age). It's very comforting. It lasts pretty long and has a very decent sillage. I keep smelling it when I'm at my desk, which doesn't happen too often with other fragrances. For the price, it's really good. But.. is no one going to comment on the box design? When I first saw it I was sure it was a fake. I know nothing about design, but look at the fonts on the front! And Shakira's picture on the back! It's just awful. I should just throw the box and keep the bottle, which is pretty nice by the way.

I bought this perfume on a cruise ship, funnily enough. Price point is very affordable, I believe I got it for 25-30 bucks. My only issue with the perfume is that it does not last too long/isn't strong enough, but for a cheap fragrance, it is not bad at all. The caramel note is very prominent while wearing the perfume, and it is very nice without being too overly sweet or powerful. Great cheap fragrance, and I'm curious to see any of the other Dance Shakira perfumes. Surprised that I hardly ever see them at a Ross or something like that.

A very soft mixture of fruits and florals is how I describe "Dance". In the initial spritz you get the fruits mainly but within the hour it dries down to a sweet floral that reminds me of cyclamen or that soft scent that cactus has. Very innocuous and girly, fun. Not serious in any way. The bottle is gorgeous but I have the feeling this will take more than 6 sprays to get the longevity you need. I don't require another celebrity fruity floral but it is my wish that those who have it enjoy it!

Nice fresh and sweet perfume. It makes me feel positive and young, and I wear it when I want to feel this way. The longevity is not bad for the price. I recommend it, especially when you don't want to feel too serious and don't want to think and worry too much... Exactly what you want to feel when you "Dance"!

I think Dance is a good perfume for that price. It opens with slightly citrus-y caramel and vanilla, and remains pretty much like that for some hours. Sillage is better than with some expensive ones. It's not particularly remarkable, but it gets its job done.

Today I tried Prada candy in the store and it’s very similar to this one .. really sweet and nice girly scent

It’s so nice so soft so refreshing, more teenager perfume I don’t recommend it for females older than 19.

It is okay, nothing ground breaking here, really similar to the nice remix by britney spears

I was excited to try out this fragrance since it was a gift and many people say that Shakira has one of the best celebrity fragrances. I was completely wrong though. The scent that many people describe as "soft" is just faint and weak. The notes are so diffuse. It is somewhat of a warm scent which is nice, but it such a generic diffuse smell honestly. It smells cheap and weak. The longevity is very weak as well, unless you overspray the hell out of it, but then it becomes a scent that makes your eyes tired and nose feel constipated. Projection is almost non existent. The bottle shape is pretty but I think the "necklaces" around the cap make the packaging a little tacky. I don't personally find anything special about Shakira fragrances. This is a total pass. Save your cash and time and look elsewhere. There is much better on the market. 4.75/10

When I first read the notes, I was really intrigued as to how this was gonna smell. There were no testers at the store, so this was a blind buy. The bottle is gorgeous, especially with the curves! Kinda reminds me of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Classique lines and La Belle, as well as Kim K’s fragrance. I wish the packaging justified the actual scent, because it was just bland to me. Nothing to write home about. The notes didn’t “dance” on my skin, and it just smelled odd. Like a weird peachy plastic scent. Gross. I guess this almost tried to be a dupe for Britney Spears’ Fantasy (new reformulation), but it failed miserably. The drydown is surprisingly better than the opening, when it gets a tad sweeter. In short, the less sprays spritzed, the better this perfume is. Less is more here! Very hard pass. I won’t be repurchasing this ever again. 2 / 10

I didn't like it, a grandma scent

Not too crazy about this one. I was hoping for caramel,but the scent is so light,this is basically a skin scent. There is a slight touch of pear,but it's barely perceptible. Though,it's not listed,I keep getting pink pepper from this. I think Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday,with her pear/caramel combo is much better than this. Like another reviewer said,this is a strange caramel. If it's pear and caramel you want,I recommend Nicki Minaj.

I loved Shakira when I were very young, younger than 10, and now I like her very much - especially her style, the one she have now and the one's that she've had before. I've recently gotten the chance to try some of her fragrances and I've liked them so I'm hoping that I'll be able to try this one aswell. There isn't one note that I dislike and the combination seems to be ok/good but it could also be too ordinary... However, the bottle looks amazing, it's so beautiful... Really, I'm almost both speechless and happy. Whoever came up with this design was and are a genius.

First blast is a sweet pear that reminds me of a discontinued Victoria Secrets Angel scent or maybe Guess Seductive? There is definately a familiar pear in there. Than it changed to a caramel, sort of fresh and flowery even. After 5 hours it becomes a nice inoffensive skin scent. I think Shakira perfumes are very above average for a celebrity scent and are sholder to sholder with some bigger brands. Not groundbreaking, but nothing is nowadays so save your money and get yourself some of this juice. Bottles are beautiful and great for collecting as well.

All i get is caramel. I do like caramel in fragrances, but i cannot stand this one. It is so sickening! And i do like sweet perfumes, but this one is boring. It is just this strange caramel and that is it. Truth be said, sillage and longevity are impressive for a Shakira perfume, but Dance is still a no go for me. P. S: the name is misleading, i was expecting something much more vibrant. It is just classy, safe and basic.
