Love Rock! by Shakira

I just got this perfume yesterday, I bought this perfume overseas, I live in the USA, and it cost around $70 with shipping, and in my opinion it's worth the cost, now it's around $55 on ebay. The top notes do remind me of the original Rock, which is more meant for summer. Love Rock to me is better than the original Rock. I would say Rock, and Love Rock are 50/50 similar. In Love Rock I can smell the bergamot the most in the top notes, backed by a slight grapefruit, and when it dries down you can start to smell the red apple, and that right there reminds me of Red Sin by Christina Aquilera minus the ginger that Red Sin has, to me Love Rock is a lighter version of Red Sin. In the base of Love Rock you can smell the oriental notes, and musk the most. In my opinion Love Rock is perfect for the fall. I think you could wear Rock During the day, and Love Rock in the evening if you wanted to. I prefer to wear Rock during the summer the most during humid weather. Overall I give this perfume 9/10. It would be a 10/10 if the musk wasn't as heavy as it is, to me the musk is intensive.

I bought this perfume yesterday at the airport at Rhodos for 19,90 euro (50 ml), and I already love it very much. It smells very fresh bergamott in my nose, and than the red apple - it's so very juicy! After a while, I also can smell the oriental notes, the musk and sandalwood. And yes, I think it is also perfect for a mature woman at my age (57) - because this perfume smells wonderful on my skin - and of cause I love rock'n roll!

Pretty bottle and scent.Smells extremely identical perfume "aphrodisiac elixir" just in a different shaped bottle.Shakira needs to explore different formulas not reproduce the same one,be more imaginative,produce a completely new juice/scent that does not smell identical to previous efforts.Overall,a pleasant fragrance.

I think it is the best of all Shakira's perfumes. It is the most mature and sensual of them all. I am really impressed. It is a sweet floral (and i was really surprised how strong the jasmine is), very womanly and elegant. And the drydown is so intimate and seductive. This is really a sexy perfume. The sillage and longevity are really good, specially for a Shakira fragrance. The only con is that it is a bit old fashioned. It gets a 9/10 from me. Thumbs up!

Beautiful breezy, juicy at first then soft sexy light very light floral background.. Then it drys down to musty spices and its harsh with my chemistry. This fragrance favors cool spring days. You cant smell anything in the winter and im not sure if ive tried summer yet? So maybe the harsh dust at the end will subside in more heat? It is beautiful in cool spring temps though, the red apple stays throughout and thats what i like.

This lays between Love & Like for me. I tried it at the airport (it seems to be rare to find in cities and stores...) and thought it was surprisingly pleasant. Although I really like Shakira, I didn't think her perfume would be among my favourites, but since I've only tried it once and very quick, I'll leave it in my like-category. I remember it being tart and fruity with spices (oriental notes) and a beautiful sandalwood note.

I was disappointed with this one. I was really hoping for something more special and less overdone. I bears some resemblance to Paco Rabbane's Olympea in my opinion. I really don't care for it. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't smell bad, it's just that this scent profile has been done many times before and it smells run of the mill.

Warm fruity wintery scent apple and cinnamon with a hint of floral and citrus notes Longevity is extremely poor lasts 15 minutes and it's pretty much gone... The smell is decent while it lasts but sillage is pretty much none existing, it's a skin scent...

Picked it up on a whim at a dutyfree after a summer vacation, thought it was berry scent, but it turns out to be apple and grapefruit. Never considered myself to be a fan of apple note, but I really enjoy it in this perfume. It's simple, cheerful and bright. Good for any season, but I like it more in summer. Lasts and projects surprisingly well, considering it's a EDT. I've had several EDPs with much worse lasting power and sillage. It doesn't strike me as too synthetic, either. It's a cheapie, but goody, IMO.

This is great: soft, apple fruity with an upper class kick. Smells far more expensive than it is.

It's like a softer and sweeter version of Paco Rabanne's One Million. Unisex.

I can smell a trail in The Big Court. Also bergamot, musk & sandal ok.

To me is a slightly spicier dupe of Nina. I like it tho.
