Vanille Rêve

Vanille Rêve is a gorgeous tropical floral vanilla fragrance. The experience starts with cool and spicy anise, which is the one phase I do not enjoy. However, shortly thereafter, a tobacco-tinged vanilla takes over the composition supported by creamy white florals. Tiare (Tahitian Gardenia) is the most prominent floral in the composition to my nose, and it adds a creamy and tropical quality to the blend. Every now and then, I perceive some other spices in the background (perhaps cinnamon and nutmeg?). Towards the latter half of the wearing experience, vanilla becomes the star of the show again, but it has more gourmand-ish qualities now, reminiscent of baked goods (but never too sweet). In my opinion, Vanille Rêve can be worn all year round, but I prefer to wear it during the spring and summer. I would describe it as a unisex scent, leaning towards feminine ever so slightly. Performance is slightly above average on my skin. I have the Cubique Glass Bottle with Stopper sealed with Gold Thread, which looks exquisite with its classic design and impeccable glasswork. All in all, Vanille Rêve is among my favorite vanilla fragrances now, especially during the warmer weather. The pairing of tiare flower with vanilla merge to form a warm, tropical and sun-kissed embrace. Pure bliss!

This is a first impression review: strong spicy anis note in the opening which provides a cooling effect to an otherwise warm and cocooning composition. After a few minutes, the anis recedes and vanilla takes the forefront. To my nose, this is a rather linear composition. I don’t pick up jasmine or tuberose and only a whisper of tiare. Projection is strong and sillage moderate (I have a dabber sample) in the first few hours and longevity excellent. This is a solar rendition of the titular material so a must try for vanilla lovers. I will give it full wearing in the coming days as I suspect it is a grower on me, revealing more facets with each wearing. Will keep you updated. Update: I just bought a 50ml bottle. The scent is a most exquisite, comforting perfume, while retaining the signature elegance of the house. It is absolutely addictive, the anis, flowers and vanilla interplay in a masterful blend. A balm to the soul.

THE best vanilla centered fragrance I have ever smelled in my life. The amount of sweetness is perfectly balanced, everything about it smells so real and pure, nothing at all cloying, it’s just honestly vanilla perfection. And I don’t even normally like vanilla forward scents of this style that much. People are always raving about different vanilla dominant fragrances and I never get it. They usually smell fake and sickening to me or just too sweet, too cheap or too boring...not of them ever grab me. But this stuff here is truly spectacular.

I have received a vial card with a purchase I made with the company. Amorem Rose which is a favorite of mine. OMG One of the best gourmands I have ever experienced. Hoping for a full bottle this Spring

It’s a 10 out of 10 in all facets

Light and airy vanilla sponge cake with a hint of spices. The florals can vaguely be made out, but they mostly serve to lift the composition so the vanilla isn't overly dense. Dries down to a pure creamy vanilla as the supporting notes fade over time. Strong projection for 2-3hr, longevity 10-12hr. A very pure vanilla gourmand. It's good, and I'll give it credit for having very solid performance, but dear Lord is this stuff absolutely disgustingly overpriced. Even Tihota is less than half the price, which is more expensive than Vanille West Indies or the actually kinda cheap Vanilla2. Of course, if you prefer inclusions, then there's a billion choices out there because vanilla scents are a dime a dozen. This is the true essence of luxury price gouging.

Vanille Rêve, ohhh how I LOVE thee♥️♥️♥️♥️ I’ve discovered a stunning, sparkling gem of a vanilla scent, thanks to a lovely perfume friend who, unbeknownst to her, opened a “Pandora’s Box” of longing obsession. Created in 2021, by the renowned Maurice Roucel, Shalini’s Vanille Rêve parfum is one of the most beautifully balanced, true to life vanillas, I’ve yet to experience. On its opening, the anise is the perfect foil to the soft vanilla, it adds a uniqueness and depth. Lush florals: Tuberose, Jasmin and Gardenia, weave their sultry spell -never overwhelming yet balanced, complementing one another in an ethereal dance. Gorgeously woody with smoky undertones, not unlike Guerlain's Vanilla Planifolia, the note adds a depth and brightness to its overall elegance. In fact Guerlain created Planifolia extrait in 2023, while Shalini released theirs in 2021. There are minute, yet discernible similarities, and one can’t help wonder whether the latter vanilla was influenced by the former. Warmth, comfort, glowing with imagined possibilities... Vanille Rêve weaves its spell effortlessly. I for one, am completely smitten.

Vanille Rêve by the beautiful house of Shalini Parfum is the sixth addition to a remarkable line of parfums to be launched this upcoming March. The aromatic anise takes full charge in the opening giving Vanille Rêve a wonderful licorice like tonality. After the anise note settles for a bit it gets introduced to a beautiful melange of white flowers tuberose, jasmine and taire with taire being the most prevalent on my skin which gives it a nice tropical feeling also you can definitely detect the vanilla at this point. Two hours into the fragrance it becomes more and more about the star of the show vanilla while still retaining a little bit of the licorice-y goodness and the tropical tiare making the vanilla even more lush. Vanille Rêve is a beautiful escape from reality to Bora Bora for those who dare to dream.

Nice realistic vanilla with decent performance. Reminds me of Jovoy Fire At Will, but not as nice to my nose, and a much worse bottle and a a much much worse atomiser and cap and a lot lot lot more expensive.
