Orchid Bloom

Fabulous!! I just bought this along with gold lily and black iris. I've been spraying a bit of each of them on each hand wrist and sniffing in their scents constantly. These are powerful little beasts. No nonsense perfumery. This smells like l have an orchid right under my nose. It's not mixed with a load of other notes so your having to play mental guessing games of which note was that etc. It's a beautiful clean floral, l can't smell the berries but the floral is beautiful and after its initial Bloom it softens when the musk hazes it down into soft pretty floral, l smell just a touch of rose in it too. I don't get sweet fruity fresh sour or powdery notes from this just a clean floral that's very real smelling. I expect wasps and bees will follow me if l wear this on a warm summer day. I give this simple lovely floral with an outstandingly inventive and uniquely beautiful bottle that weighs a ton an 8.5/10. I sat staring with the bottle in hand for at least 20mins trying to figure out what the deal with the ball inside the bottle was, why doesn't the ball move with the liquid whats it connected to? I have questions Shanghai Tang. 😀 I love these perfumes that pack a powerful punch why only 60mls though? Yet the mens ones are 100mls. I'd love 100ml bottles of these perfumes.

Rain soaked berries on the vine in a hazy night garden. Although this evokes night instead of day, I would say this is the more playful version of Balenciaga Paris. Fruitier, no asphalt, juicier. I adore Balenciaga Paris and I adore this. While Balenciaga is an elegant woman walking on a cobblestone road down flower lined streets with asphalt buildings in london or paris on a rainy spring or summer day, Orchid Bloom is the same woman in her hometown somewhere in the East where she walks her village streets at night. The streets here are lined with wooden homes and storefronts and the golden street lamps illuminate the night. It is humid there, and tropical orchids and plums grow everywhere. Her attire is not light grey or lilac here, but purple and green. Perfect for spring, summer and early fall nights. Elegant enough to wear on a night out. It does not perform to its highest potential in cold weather. This beauty needs humidity. I prefer my fruity florals to have a humid and hazy quality to them, I think it gives them much needed depth, especially for someone my age. This fragrance falls under a familiar scent profile, but there is a humid quality to it that takes it up a notch from the rest. I adore it

One of my best purchases ever. This is a stunning fragrance and it's very different from what I've smelled around. Being a huge fan of florals, I've smelled and tried on a lot of fragrances in this direction but this is very different . I've discovered this gem in Asia; purchased it in Hong Kong. I thought I would find it here in the US pretty easily but it's a hard-to-find one, and unfortunately it's discontinued. I should have done better research so I could have purchased more than one bottle. It's a very feminine orchid fragrance, definitely not unisex (at least I couldn't see a guy pulling this off). It's feminine, sexy but not for a teenager.It's very chic and refined, a compliment-getter guaranteed. Eventhough orchid is a fantasy note, when you smell this juice you can definitely imagine an orchid, so well done!

Mysterious floral-leaning fruitiness without being cloying like most mainstream night perfumes, this fits all times of day depending on what you want to express. It took 3 separate occasions to grow on me but DAMN this is the first perfume in my life that has fit with me this close, even if it smelled a bit teacher-y at first - elegant, 'dark blue', but not sweet like the top chart suggests. Minimal powdery-ness which I like, too. (20 afab, England Climate)

Orchid Bloom is slightly shrill and generic upon first application, but the drydown is much more pleasant. It is still a very perfumed scent, with a strong and airy orchid fantasy note and fashionable, semi-sweet red berries. The musk is quite muted and of the clean and fresh variety. A lotus note and a honey note, both unlisted, appear occasionally. The scent as a whole is pretty and inoffensive but smells a bit more expensive than I would have guessed based on the notes (or my review!) Orchid Bloom appears completely ordinary, and not my usual style, but I keep wanting to come back and sniff it.
