Spring Jasmine

This is a breeze of pure jasmine right in your face. I have to take a deep breath and enjoy it. Truly humble and beautiful flower that sometimes you have to find deep in the plant... Love it so much. It does not last much in me but almost four hours would make it, and the bottle is tiny so I can reapply the fragrance without fuss. I was so curious to try it but wasn't brave enough to buy the full bottle, so I went small in a set of different fragrances under the umbrella of Shanghai Tan. Spring Jasmine came together with Gold Lyly, Oriental Pearl, Orchid Bloom and Rose Silk, looking really cute all wrapped in one golden box. Surprised after 1 hour of how well the jasmine popped out and how great was the atmosphere around me. It remind me the times when I was a girl, walking early in the Spring nights in Trinidad: an ancient, gorgeous city of Cuba, talking to my Grandma and learning from her; she loved fantasy, fairytales and many times she invented it to entertain me and keep alive the conversation. Almost all the gardens of that city have an exuberant jasmine plant in full bloom, and they start to release that wonderful smell at night. What a feast! Incredibly beautiful...Spring Jasmine of Shanghai Tang brought that memory from the depth of my heart and I am so grateful. I think those nocturnal walks with her shaped my soul and contributed to who I am now. I will love you forever my dear Grandmamma...

An excellent Green Jasmine scent. A very realistic Jasmine with leaves and the vine. It has a citrus undertone throughout with a beautiful steamy musk reminiscent of laundered cotton that is being sun dried. There is a warmth and humidity throughout the entire stages, yet it remains crisp and clean. The sort of sauna like wetness/steam emitting from aged wood is depicted beautifully in this frangrsnce. This scent evokes an East Asian forest/jungle, warm humid and damp on a partially sunny day but the trees and bamboo grow so tall it filters much of the sunlight. The trees and bamboo emit steam from the heat and humidity. There are exotic Jasmine vines growing next to the cliffs along the edges of the forest. There Is a small quiet waterfall leading into a small water hole at the end of the forest under the cliffs, and the heat from the stones surrounding the falls emmit a most beautiful vapor. You decide to jump in and relax whilst enjoying the scenery and sounds. The dry down lasts hours and is beautiful Jasmine wet leaves wet wood and warm steamy musk. I absolutely recommend this. It is a very zen and relaxing fragrance, spa like. Perfect for summer and spring humid and even rainy days.

aw, one of the most authentic and beautifully captured scents representing the true blossom of Jasminum officinale. Yes, there is a big difference scentwise between officinale and Jasminum sambac for example (I have both plants in my garden) The first smells fresh, sweet and incredibly creamy - which I adore. The latter one has this waxy, often kind of rotten smell so many people dislike. 'Spring Jasmine' smells almost exactly like the real fresh officinale blossom, creamy, lightly sweet, soft and always a little fresh. Shanghai Tang managed to capture this scent wonderfully, and it does remind me of one of Houbigant's newer creations called 'Essence Rare'. The true jasmine note is almost identical, but Shanghai Tang captured it even more authentic by keeping the slight freshness and creaminess of the blossoms alive all through the staying time of the scent on skin. It is an elegant, very feminine, creamy, soft blossom scent, melting into the skin and smelling clean and alluring at the same time. Very sadly I found out that Shanghai Tang has discontinued all their fragrances. I was glad I found a new sealed bottle of it lately and will treasure it for sure

A great Green Jasmine perfume with a citrus undertone and a lovely steamy musk. Throughout the phases, there is warmth and humidity, yet everything remains crisp and clean. The dry down is gorgeous, with Jasmine, damp leaves, moist wood, and warm steamy musk. It's a treasure with a spa-like aroma. Perfect for humid, wet days in the summer and spring. 'Spring Jasmine' smells almost like to fresh Officinale bloom, creamy, gently sweet, delicate, and always a touch fresh. A stunning combination of sensuality and delicate grace!

Among jasmine-centered fragrances, Spring Jasmine and Alien are queens. I love them both. This delightful jasmine is the total opposite of the jasmine found in Alien, though. Alien's jasmine is regal, powerful, sharp, aloof, and unearthly. Spring Jasmine is still very much noble, but she is warmer, creamier, and friendlier, with a touch of greenness; very natural and approachable.

This is THE PERFECT jasmine that I have been looking for. It is slightly indolic and sensual, yet fresh and delicate. Perfection when it comes to the balance between sensuality and subtle elegance.

I found the line so havily reduced online (£28) that I just had to try. I knew worst case I would keep it for the amazing bottle. I researched which one to go for and settled for this one, because I love Jasmin (but not a fan of Alien, that smells like cilantro to me). There's a bush in the street where live, and I have to bury my nose into it whenever I pass by, it makes me so happy! Gyda12 said it would smell exactly like the real thing, so I got it, thanks Gyda12 💖 First of all the bottle weighs a ton, and looks so expensive in real life, happy to have it. The scent is definitely original jasmin, closest I ever smelled. It smells perfumey, something in the background turns a little harsh. I wish it was even softer and more creamy, like I feel the original blossoms smell. All in all a steal, it will satisfy my jasmin cravings when the bush is not in bloom.

Noone seems to agree on the notes. Some websites say violets, sandalwood, musk, some say olibanum and some frankincense. Bamboo also is in question. Either way, this is a lovely Jasmine scent. There's a kind of oddly toothpaste element in it when generously sprayed so be aware. Oily, sweet jasmine and a bit minty fresh. It's not worth a 100gbp price tag holy Mary no. But it is lovely so if you can pick up a mini to try it I recommend.

Jasmine is my favourite flower as I grew up with it in the garden by the back door. When you first spray it this is a fairly authentic representation of jasmine but as it settles another note enters (perhaps the bamboo?) which I'm less keen on. This is too sweet for me to wear out as a perfume but is lovely and comforting to spray at home.

I've been wearing this the past few (rainy) days, and it seems appropriate. Wet without being too aquatic, its mostly jasmine, but has warm undertones. Really lovely! Wish I could get my hands on a bigger bottle.

This smells like my noni's bathroom cabinet below the sink at our paris lake house. Wonderful memory because I'm headed there in a week! The jasmine doesnt particular stand out to me, which is just as well because I enjoy I well blended perfume. I like the mystery of no notes dominating and standing out. Ot makes it more abstract and personal to me. As far as it being something I want to wear, yeah, it smells ok for that. This is totally off topic, but I finally figured out why they dont just remove the "smells similar to" perfumes that go into the negative. People are always complaining about others down voting them! I think it's fair game to do so, as it is a freaking vote for a reason! So fine, keep them visible. But for God's sake, please put them at the end of the line so that the positive similar perfumes actually show! Most changes they've made to the site actually follow our suggestions, or rather, demands, so I'm grateful for that. But there are other changes that are just technical problems, such as the size of the page, which only gets worse when I change it to desktop site or browser. I wish they'd fix some of these weird errors, as it was much more user friendly before. Still, fragrantica, you rock!

I ordered this for the Jasminum Officianale scent, (I don't like Jasminum Sambac - & this is meant to be v realistic,& with some bamboo & olibanum - but my extremely heavy bottle is completely expired. I ordered this & Stella eau de toilette from Healthpharm online in the UK - & both perfumes were expired, (yes, am still in the UK.. the pandemic is almost never ending - clowns in our government mkg a real mess re the 'no mask wearing' etc - huge rant implied; I may go completely mad..) I telephoned Healthpharm & spoke to a not charming girl who immediately tried to give me a hard time & said "How do you know" - & asked if I had "checked the expiry date." She didn't apologise, & say oh, what can we do" - she just said, how could I know. Eventually I said, because they smell expired & the perfumes scent has virtually disappeared - that awful base metal scent you get in expired perfume - the Shanghai Tang Spring Jasmin has dark orange liquid, & the box was sealed but it is barely half full it has evaporated so much, as I explained, & explained I'm a perfume collector, & hadn't "just changed my mind." Eventually I asked her if she was kidding - & she seemed to get the message. She is sending me a returns label. (I could make remarks here about rude snowflakes - it really was that bad, I am not v old, exactly, early thirty-something, but re the immediate attack when I explained what had happened instead of customer service offering to help was a little bit....Not good. The attitude..) I am ordering a bottle from Red Label Outfit. The perfumes from HealthPharm took a full 2 weeks to come - yet I get them shipped from the US in a max of 7 days, mostly sooner from FragX.. The whole operation is clearly a bit dodgy.. I will edit this & advise if/when my refund appears.. I checked the reviews & they were fine. Clearly nobody has ever ordered perfume. I write this because perfumes are not cheap, & if you are in the UK, & saw these perfumes at Healthpharm- & ordered at Christmas you would be v disappointed. It may be just a blip, I don't know - but she did tell me the perfumes aren't "with them in Leicester" - that the warehouse is elsewhere - suspect they are affiliated with somebody else. Perfume Click, & various in the UK are excellent. Should hv ordered just one perfume - to see if Healthpharm were any good, but you know, over £40 for free postage.. (& I hate paying postage. so that usually enables..) This is my hobby, though - & ofc during the pandemic restrictions & being confined to the country where I was born, I really need a hobby. If anybody has a bottle for swap, I hv many full bottles to swap - all kept in perfec condition (cool room storage.) I will be going on a no buy, just before Christmas; & afterwards, the blind buys may hv got even sillier this previous 2 months..Nevermind..

What a beautiful jasmine! It so wonderful that I asked a friend to help me to buy a full bottle.The jasmine scent smells sweet and fresh, crisp, clear, easy to wear but rich. I have not found the bamboo note, but got some creamy sandalwood touch when it dry down.If you love petite and exquisite, do not hesitate. * Lovely green crisp sweet jasmine like blooming on a spring rainy day, dewy and fresh. After 8years, used it less than five times, and now it's down to the last few drops at the bottom, almost all evaporated. The beautiful classical Chinese design bottle is still heavy in the hand. Good design, I can imagine the cost is high but you should consider the sealing.

Lovely and slightly indolic and a great iteration for warmer weather. Spring Jasmine is evocative of the delicate sweet flower in Serge Lutens A La Nuit with some added velvety floral and crisp hints of bamboo. This is beautiful, fresh but with a light musky, balsamic base that prevents the jasmine from being too fleeting. Very clean and luxurious and an easy wear for most occasions.

Bamboo fresh. (It reminds me a bit of my bamboo extract conditioner.) realistic jasmine, but not overpowering. I'm not a huge jasmine fan (I dislike Alien) but this is very nice. Frankincense is a nice touch, just adds some back bone to a light fresh scent. very feminie

My bottle of this has been stored upright, in its box, for many years and has almost all VAMOOSHED. Evaporated? Who knows. Gone. 🙄 Have to wonder if that big ball in the middle of the bottle drank/absorbed it. Donated to charity.

Real spring day time jasmin flowers, a lighter feel to the jasim. not like a deep night jasmin at all. The frankinsence is cold and clean. An aloof young woman the embodyment of spring itself.

Lovley, changed as I wore it. Smelled real not sythetic. Lasted All day on me. Smells expensive and classy. I feel like I have found a treasure.
