Watermelons

I’ve had this scent for about a year, and the bottle seems to be turning on me a bit, losing the top watermelon note— and isn’t that the entire point of a scent named watermelon?. It hasn’t been abused in heat or light, so this is a bit of an issue for $90. It’s nice, not amazing, very pleasant and an easy reach for a summer day. For the price I’d rather have CK Red, it’s about $20, equally as boringly pleasant, and same longevity- and the bottle I’ve had for three years smells pretty much the same. I want to love this house but the performance to price ratio makes it hard to justify a repurchase and I have seven or eight of their scents and none of them have any longevity. The only one I really like enough despite even worse performance is the White Peaches. It’s not exciting but it’s soft and feminine and pretty to my nose. They need to double or triple the parfum oil ratio and they might have something here. But as is, I can’t recommend unless you just love the bottle.

Watery Watermelons 100%. Probably the best watermelon scent I have tried. Watermelon does dominate the scent. It gets sweeter as it wears too. I actually REALLY like it! a LOT! The mandarin note is noticeable. Honeysuckle is light but there. It is fresh, watery, sweet, green. It skirts the line from being an aquatic scent to being quite gourmand. Definitely a scent easy to wear. Would be GREAT in summer heat. It is a bit similar to Aqua di Gioia in a way, except AdG is lemony splash of mint, sweet, aquatic fresh, hint of woody. Where Watermelons is WATERMELON, watery, sweet, fresh, hint of woody. I think the Watermelons might actually be sweeter and last much longer as well. I do get the reference of watermelon Now & Laters candy as mentioned by the review below (btw, which I LOVE). It s not too candy sweet tho so don't let that put you off. Def can unisex easily worn by either men or women.

So surprised by the negative reviews; this is great. A bright, watery not sickly watermelon opening, that lasts long enough to be enjoyable and not so long that it becomes cloying. No jolly ranchers here, so perhaps if that’s what you’re expecting you might be disappointed. Middle is green and leafy, with the softest hint of a slight floral keeping it unisex and not masculine. Again, if a fresh scent isn’t your thing I can understand the disappointment that this isn’t a sugar bomb. Dries into a slightly sweet musky scent, very clean, not cloying or super sweet at all, and perfect for summer. Overall smells like nothing I’ve tried before. I had a carded sample and I’ve just bought a 100ml bottle.it’s cheap enough to spray liberally, and refresh as you want.

I get watermelon like real watermelon not jolly rancher, tea & aquatic. It's BEAUTIFUL! It'll definitely be a repurchase for me 💕

I like this one! Ok, now hear me out... This is exactly what I was looking for in a summer watermelon scent – something reminiscent of a jolly rancher, slightly more refined, ozonic, with notes of grass. I wanted a no-brainer to be worn alone or layered during sunny days. Although that initial blast of jolly rancher does fade quicker than I wish, it does not go into the skin scent zone as quickly as other scents I have tried from S&B. On me, the drydown is a clean, light, sweet aquatic with a sprinkle of green. I think this will pair lovely with sharper greens and am excited to play mad scientist with this one. I do get a “body spray vibe” with this,but only in terms of how light the fragrance wears. It’s missing the synthetic and sickly sweetness that comes from those scents.

Watery watermelons is exactly what this fragrance smells like. For the most part is very linear on my skin. I get 2-3 hours with 5 sprays on skin. You can and should imo spray your clothes to get better performance. Very nice for the summer. You can go nuts spraying this because it is so light. Anywhere from 7 to 10 sprays will totally be fine. I bought a 30 ml bottle and it's going to run out quick because of how often I spray it. You will smell unique with this on. Probably the best watermelon scent today. For $55 shipped, you can grab a 30 ml bottle from indigo perfumes. This oozes summer.

Got a sample of this and it's nice. I was worried about the vetiver but I cannot smell it at all. At first spray it was all watermelon. Sweet and juicy. As it dries down it's more grassy. Like a summer day at the park. It still throws a hint of watermelon every now and then. Definitely agree it's a short longevity. Couple hours only and it is very close to the skin. Won't buy a full bottle but will enjoy my sample until it is gone.

I got my sample from Indigo also. This is a fragrance that no one will dislike because it smells like summer but not too many will love because of the poor performance as DHIguy stated. A lovely pick me up sort of fragrance that oozes melons and most likely calone which is not listed. Similar to ADG and 360 Red for Men.

Fresh floral scent with some soapy nuances. It definitely had a watermelon note, but it’s similar to one you can get from fruity shampoo, just a bit sweeter. It’s a bit too synthetic for my taste, but overall it’s just a generic fresh fruity fragrance, nothing offensive. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

I find this just ok, probably wouldn’t buy it again. If you get the 10ml it’s fairly good value, but it’s pretty generic and the watermelon note is really only for the first few seconds. Afterwards it’s a bit masculine, like a fresh generic men’s cologne. I do find it lasts well on clothes though.

The most authentic, photorealistic, juicy watermelon scent I have ever smelled - just like cutting open a watermelon and biting into it. HOWEVER - the beautiful watermelon note lasts 10 minutes tops. Wish it lasted longer but it is too short-lived for me to invest in it.

Smells like a watermelon Now & Later(U.S. candy). Not bad but I feel as if they could have included something else to make it shine as the other notes are not detected. Good scent but nothing to go crazy over, IMO.

It's nice , will have to test out in the heat . Right now it's about. A 4-10 . Will add more after a hot day of testing .

As others before me have said the name of this is a little disappointing. The lovely watermelon smell is only evident when first applied. Unfortunately, for me, I accidentally dumped a whole 1 ml sample all over me. Along with the watermelon and even after the the watermelon had subsided the nose stinging alcohol is really strong for the first several minutes. After both of those leave, I’m left with a green aquatic that has some slight sweetness. It’s nice, summery, and projects ok for what kind of profile it is. It does remind me of something else I’ve worn before, so it’s not really a unique of a scent, though it would be an easy summer reach.

The opening was pretty nice, especially the watermelon note, which I love. Unfortunately it subsided quite quickly and the green and aquatic notes took over, and even some fruitiness was still left in the drydown, it was the kind of the sweet non-specific fruitiness. As I was looking fo a watermelon dominant fragrance and with this in mind, this one didn't do it for me. Also the performance was quite poor.

Nice blend of watermelon rind and clean musk. Super fresh! The fruitiness dosen't last. Dries down to a breezy vetiver. I'm not into aquatic notes on myself but this smells nice. No weird salt or ambergris to throw off the airy vibe. This is classic clean girl aesthetic. Review of official carded spray sample that came free with purchase.

Watermelon soap / shampoo. A very clean and soapy artificial fruit scent. Not really sweet. Cooling and good for hot weather. But I smell this scent all the time in hand soap, candles, etc...

Wanted to love this, but it's too reminiscent of highly scented hairspray.

A fragrance which starts well, but soon looses any resemblance to its name... I applied 6 heavy sprays 0 - 1 min - 10 inch projection. A fresh watermelon comes out and I had high hopes... 1 min - 4 hours. 8 inch projection. The watermelon very quickly goes and the underlying herbal, orange comes in and dominates and this is not nice to my personal taste. It does smell like bug spray; alas I couldn't escape that thought.. 4 hours - 6 hours. 5 inch projection and decent performance which surprised me. Linear now and gagging. I found this fragrance very familiar, and finally I recalled what it was - this is a doppelganger of Moschino Friends for men, without the projection 6 hours - 10 hours. Close to skin but strong skin scent. 10 seconds of wonderful watermelon, but then over 9 hours of dislike Not for me

This is an aquatic watermelon, which to me is photorealistic however slightly artificial (which I would expect). I sampled yesterday and it was a love because I undersprayed to be on the safe side, and I have no watermelon scents in my collection. But in the dry down I can pick up on the hay-like vetiver, and with four sprays the vetiver is strong also in the opening and the artificial quality is more profound. Now that I have done a full wear test, it will have to be a pass; it is a bit screechy. If you like watermelon, this is about as close as you can get, though.

I tend to agree with most of the detractors here - yes, a pleasant and true watermelon opening, but it's not long till the (supposed) mandarin and green notes take over and from then on, with a tenacity that finally becomes annoying, the scent is synthetic, at least to my senses, and cheapo, screeching, one-off-pitch-note synthetic. And yes, @daiva.jameikis got it spot on - it's a scent for young girls, the type that most likely will progress to the sort of woman who inflicts hideous 'gourmand' nightmares to her surroundings way past the appropriate age...

Sweet wash of watermelon in the opening. Then the dry down features watermelon rind. Specifically the rind and no other parts of the watermelon. Interesting, how they were able to single out that specific smell. It’s nice and different, relative to my collection since I tend to find especially fruity fragrances juvenile. So it’s my first watermelon fragrance but it was pretty boring and mostly linear. I couldn’t get a sense for other notes, about 2ish hours of wear, and no complexity whatsoever.

I have a 5ml sample and thank God for that. It smells like a random bottle of drugstore perfume. Like that pink body spray vial you see lying around at your favorite clothing store next to the counter. Kid's stuff. But not in a good, uplifting way. It's alcoholic, synthetic. The watermelon note is completely fake. Smells like watermelon candy instead for whole 2 minutes and, suddenly, it's the MOST GENERIC smell ever which gave me a weirdest headache. Had to scrub it off.

I had this in my collection for less than 24 hours. The opening is pleasant, yet it had something in the background that smelled very offensive to my nose. I recieved the similar vibe from acqua di gio essenza. This watermelon became very cheap smelling on my skin. it actually gave me a headache. I can see how other people would love this fragrance but it doesn't fit my style. overall 4 out of 10

I love this perfume on first application it was light and summery with a hint of watermelon and a pleasant sweetness. However, the dry down on me is NOT nice reminds me of cotton candy, mothballs, and baby powder.

I enjoyed the watermelon in the opening, but like LaetitiaAnaisa said it quickly died down to just an ozonic green accord. It had some fruitiness that somehow wasn't sweet to me at all, not what I was looking for.

This was not the bright, sweet, fresh, crisp, cool, summery watermelon I was hoping for. It's muted and disappears very quickly. Seems more like an alcoholic mist. Not a fan unfortunately.

I get a nice blast of watermelon in the beginning, and then it turns very masculine on my skin. Smells almost like a cologne. As a gourmand lover, it's not for me.

Watermelon does indeed dominate in this one but it is also very green. I struggle with both of these things so needless to say, this is a dislike personally.

An aquatic(no!!) floral reminiscent of Nautica Voyage. Synthetic af.

Burning wheels and watermelon. I don't like this combination. Actually horrible.

I simply love perfumes with Watermelon top notes. I adored New West (Aramis) in the 90's, and then L'Imperitirice from D&G. I love the freshness of Acqua Di Gio, and Acqua di Gioia, although the last one didn't really get the 'wow' factor for me. When wearing any of these fragrances I felt fresh, clean, 'alive'. I got so many compliments from others about these perfumes too. But, alas, they are dying. I cannot seem to get a fresh bottle of L'Imperitrice - so I guess it's being discontinued like most of the fragrances I love for day/summer wear. Then I saw that Shay and Blue had a Watermelon fragrance!!! I love the idea of supporting a smaller fragrance house, plus it's here in the UK. I couldn't get a sample to sniff in any stores locally, so I ordered one of their tiny fragrance samples. Actually, I ordered 3, as two others sounding devine too. A £5 price tag per sample means it is not cheap, and I was to discover I should have saved my money.... I'll just talk about Watermelon. After one spritz, it smelled chemically, but under those chemicals just a hint of watermelon. I genuinely thought there may be good things to come over the next half an hour. Sadly, it remained chemically to the dry down, and in the end I had to shower to try to remove it. It has quite a lot of staying power, but just overwhelmingly chemical from start to finish. So, so disappointed.....

I totally love this. It smells genuinely of watermelon, and I also get the green mandarin, vetiver and green tea. So fresh and airy. I think what some of the negative reviewers of this fragrance are getting is the strong scent of galbanum - it is a dominant note here, as it is in Cristalle and No.19 and Bel Respiro - it has much in common with those three fragrances, the galbanum makes it quite green and cold, ice-cool, almost brittle. Delicious. Wear it and feel like an ice queen for the day... :))

This reminds me of a cross between Escada Cherry in the Air and Victoria's Secret Bombshell Summer. I adore both those fragrances, so this is right up my alley! It's very fresh, vibrant, flirty, and young. There's also a hint of aquatic notes in here, and while I'm usually not a fan of aquatics, it works here. I have a little sample now but I can't wait to order a full size!

It's expensive for what it is but I do love it. It lasts fairly well and it's a fresh aquatic watermelon scent that I adore and just can't get enough of to wear all year round. While it's nothing special or complex, it is one of my absolute favourite fruity scents, watermelon and for that I invest in a bottle

Chilled green water with some drops of watermelon juice mixed in. Nothing fruity artificial about it with a tinge of floral sweetness. Barely noticeable after a half hour except a fleeting generic masculine greenness. It's like a chip of sea glass. Happy to have tried it, not interested in it beyond a sample.

Smelled like bath and bodyworks cucumber melon for the first minute, then the green and floral note took over. It's kind of bland and something I feel like I've smelled from Avon before. After several samples from this house I don't think I'm a fan at all.
