Kinmokusei

Got it in a trip to Tokyo. I've gotten many compliments on this one. On my skin it's a fruity floral that still stays refreshing. I read others saying they're getting a cucumber note, I didn't notice this for almost 2 years until then. I personally hate how watery cucumber smells but this one is milkier.

A beautiful, fleshy osmanthus that is rather uplifting and energising.

I like this, but it is not the photorealistic osmanthus I was searching for. I’ve been wanting a spray perfume version of my realistic KINMOKUSEI roll on I got from Aroma Tree in Tokyo. This doesn’t have that same intoxicating juicy fall apricot osmanthus that I smell on a breeze in late summer. It’s got enough of a powder and a watery note that keeps it more perfumey. I do like how it smells, and I do think it’s pretty likable. It lasts quite a long time, too. While I go kind of nose blind to it after a few hours, if I smell a shirt I was wearing that has this on it, I keep catching that powdery floral. It’s just not that true intoxicating osmanthus.

Received it as a gift from my Japanese friend who wanted me to experience the essence of Japan in a bottle. I really like the freshness if this fragrance; the floral notes are the most apparent , followed by the fruity punches. It's ideal to wear during the daytime and projects modestly. And even though it is said to be a unisex fragrance, I personally liked it more on my wife than on myself.
