Smoked Leather

I bought it on my last trip to Japan, and it was love at first sight when I tried it in the store. Shiro Smoked Leather comes in two sizes, 50ml and 100ml, and surprisingly despite the name, it doesn't actually contain any leather notes. The perfume opens with nutmeg and incense, the incense is by far the most prominent note in the perfume. It's a very aromatic incense combined with woody notes. There's a light and refreshing note that I think it's the ginger, slightly minty. This incense note, combined with the cashmere and the other woody notes, creates a very addictive smoky leather scent feel. Smoked Leather it's elegant, warm, and pleasant perfume. Although it's unisex, I find it leans more masculine. It has decent longevity and projection, nothing remarkable. The price is around 16,000 yen, which is about €88 for the larger size.

I really appreciate that a Japanse cosmetic company line up many perfumes, not only for girls but as unisex. This is a good tendency. At the shop, there are many spicy & woody perfumes and the price is not bad as 150$/100ml, as Eau de Perfume. Unfortunately, the scent is too modest in Tokyo summer heat. My no-name citron Eau de Cologne lasts much longer. I wonder if the consept inspired by Byredo?? Oh please not. The scent itself is very modern and natural, easy to wear for everyone who loves fresh-spicy-woody note. I prefer adding a little dirtiness in the composition though, "SPICE OF LIFE", "SPICES AND TEASE", "BON WOOD" are also good. Just hope much stronger projection.

Have it, like it. Stays long on clothes yet disappears from the skin within an hour. Pretty universal smell, office appropriate and while interesting - not offensive. I agree that somebody was very much inspired by Byredo. Sniffed other ones from Shiro - so far this one is the best in my humble opinion. Easy to wear, nice but if you want something to blow your mind - look further. Edit: one of the few perfumes i had bought for the second time. Stuff smells ok at first but it grew on me and it’s soooooooo good. Adore it.

I absolutely loved this perfume, It’s a beautiful woody, aromatic musky scent. It lasted for ages on my skin at least 6 hours with close silage. This is perfectly unisex and as a woman I think this would also be good for layering perhaps with white tea which is another love. IG/TikTok: wilddew_vibes
