Ginza Intense

I had to come back to this scent a few times to really love it. But now I do. The opening did remind me of Si passion but it's less sweet and synthetic to my nose. This is the part I had to get used to at first. When the blackcurrant disappears a beautiful red rose emerges.This is when I fell in love with this scent. It's not overly sweet, it's a little bit powdery, the dry down is a tiny bit soapy on my skin. I don't smell any patchouli in the dry down so if it's a note you don't like I would encourage you to still give it a try. For this beautiful rose it worth it. It's a well rounded and elegant scent overall.

e first time I tried this I wasn’t sure. It felt too strong and yet generic for some reason. But 3 months passed and I couldn’t forget about it. I love a good rose fragrance and this is a good rosy performance. Fruity sweet so it’s not overwhelming. Patchouli provides depth and layer. I usually detest vanilla because it smells cheap, but in this case vanilla gives an earthy feeling, softens the sharp edges. Some users say that it’s generic and that’s true at the beginning, it becomes a unique experience as it unfolds, this one is a slow burn for sure.

Very pleasant surprise! This is energic, bright, fruity and sexy scent. I love the way it represents black currant: it doesn't smell natural, but contains the juicines, the aroma of bitter leaves and gets nice with the rose. Settled in patchouli-vanilla base, it is amazing: gourmand and well-balanced. I am impressed, this is much more than I expected. The paper test is not corresponding. This perfume wants the warm skin. :-) And yes, very similar to Sì. (Less vanilla, more fruit.)

A good mix of patchouli and black currant added with a hint of rose-y vanilla, that makes it sophisticated and sexy at the same time. like it🤩

I quite like the Ginza collection - it's very feminine, floral-fruity, elegant and wearable. Not too juvenile or too mature. I understand why some may call it basic, but it's basic in a good sense. I'd rather call it versatile; a capsule wardrobe for perfumes. The original Ginza being the most versatile, elegant and basic of all three. On a more negative note, it is not groundbreaking and similar to some other perfumes; therefore it may be redundant to buy it. Nobody mentioned it here but to me it has a very strong vibe of La Nuit Tresor and Tresor a la Folie. It's a bit more fruity and less vanilla but the overall experience is very similar to me, especially for a la Folie because original La Nuit Tresor gets more and more vanilla in the drydown. If you already own one of these, you'll probably like Ginza Intense. At the same time, again, it may be redundant to additionally buy this one. I totally agree with vargadorkaluca below that it hits you with black currant and turns into a fruity rose scent. Patchouli is not prominent in it, I'll try to layer it with Reminiscence Patchouli out of my curiosity. Nevertheless, if you're not a patchouli fan, you shouldn't be afraid to wear this one. The same for vanilla note. On me it gets a bit soapy and headache inducing - same as La Nuit Tresor a la Folie, which I sold for this reason - but not suffocating if you don't overspray. The general quality of Shiseido scents - I have Zen and original Ginza + samples of Murasaki and Intense fragrances - is good. They may turn a bit soapy or sweet but never too synthetic and are well blended. If you're looking for a comparison between the Ginza collection: 1) Original Ginza is the most floral, inoffensive, subtle and versatile, and a safe blind buy to majority of people. It can be worn by all ages, in all seasons, day and night. It never gets ugly in the drydown and is not prominent on anything in particular. Some may say it lacks personality because of that, but it also makes it a beautiful perfume for any occasion. I imagine it as a perfect first floral scent for a young woman, who just discovers the world beyond gourmands. If you look at the Japanese inspirations, this is a young, beautiful wife during her wedding day. 2) Ginza Murasaki is the most juvenile of these three, rather pink than violet. The colours of bottles really say everything about this collection. It starts with a lovely fruity blast and then sits on skin as a fresh, carefree floral. This one is a young, romantic girl walking in Akihabara - not too crazy but still surrounded by neon lights, lollipops and video games. 3) Ginza Intense is as described above. It's the most sensual of them and sweet. It's a lover met in the red and purple neon street after midnight. Not a femme fatale scent by any means, but intoxicating enough to evoke a hint of sexual attraction. If this is your ballpark, I'd however recommend La Nuit Tresor as far more sexier and not as mature as Si Passione. For me, the original Ginza is just what I need in my collection and potentially something every woman may want to have. I pass on Murasaki and Intense as fragrances I find OK but I can live without them. If you already own Ginza and are wondering whether to blind buy Murasaki/Intense, I strongly recommend sampling as you may find out they are less elegant or something that you just don't need. Edit: After La Nuit Tresor Intense was launched and I had a chance to sniff it, I must say Ginza Intense is extremely similar to it, with less cherry inside. You definitely don't need both. And I still recommend original La Nuit Tresor more than Ginza/Tresor Intense.

I received a scented card in a perfume store and while I am not buying much perfumes lately (especially - latest launches or trends), I was totally blown away by the scented card.l that I bought 50 ml for full price! Well... yeah... I have noticed already that some tester bottles for the "designer" brands smell somewhat different from the original product.... this was also the case. I agree with the comment below saying that it resembles Armani Si Passione - from the disappointment point of view. The same generic, indifferent sweetness that blends with all the mass. This smell resembles me the scent of perfume stores - a bit sweet, kinda you know it's "brand" but lacks the character. From the other hand, as a perfume, it is not fundamentally bad and the longevity is very good - for me I wear it to at the office and noone had died yet🤣🤭. But the tester sample had much more characteristic rose scent that mesmerized me... definitely will not repurchase!

It's not too terrible. Smells like roses. Definitely for women; so that's a plus. I got one of those red samples with one of my orders for free. I will stay clear of this one. The roses smell a bit dusty. Very old-fashioned but not 100% in a bad way.

Ginza Intense reminds me of Si Passione, but seems spicier. While I enjoy the blackcurrant, rose and patchouli, it doesn't last long and is not particularly interesting. It's also a bit sharp and synthetic.

Very boring, generic perfume smell. This is the kind of smell clothing stores sold in the early 2000's. At the opening, this also smells straight-up like sweat.

Got excited about the opening notes, but now it just smells like something that would induce headache, so it's a no.

The scents of Shiseido are not common in the Netherlands. These are not standard in our perfume stores. They therefore feel a bit more exclusive than the other mainstream perfumes. With great enthusiasm I received a sample of this fragrance. The fragrance starts with an explosion of fruit. Lots of blueberries and other sour berries. The rose in this perfume is light. It gives the fruit a little more freshness. But soon these nuts merge into one big sweet bomb that we've seen so much in recent years. The opening somehow reminds me of Mon Paris ban Yves Saint Laurent. But it develops into a bad and cheap version of Armani's Si Passione. A big disappointment for me. In the category of very sweet fragrances, there are much better perfumes.

Fresh, airy perfume, beautiful like the others in the trilogy, each one intrigued me in a different way, this is a nice fresh floral, slightly fruity with a slightly sour vibe given by the currant, a beautiful fresh, spring-like and graceful rose, I like I like that the Rose, a very difficult flower for many, is often used in this last period, and above all used in a very carefree, youthful way, so even those who don't particularly love it can approach this wonderful flower and wear it with pleasure! The finish is always delicate, graceful with a hint of patchouli and vanilla which binds very well with the "rosé" vibe that continues to hover For me it's excellent, unfortunately I don't remember what Armani's Si' Passione is like, I tried it many years ago and honestly I don't remember it, so I can't compare them, but I really liked this Ginza I find it perfect for this season in spring or summer course

If Armani Si and Absolutely Blooming by Dior had a kid, this would be the result.🌸 Smells kinda generic for a white musk blackcurrant, with a hint of the same clean patch that pops up in Armani Si. Could make for a lovely 2020s date perfume. No doubt I'll wear it more, it's very coquettish in an adult way. A very sexy drydown, appropriate for mixing with bedlinen, whilest being cutely sweet in the intro. Quite maturely cute.

It's a simple and beautiful perfume. It smells like a fresh rose from your garden. The rose scent is not concentrated, it's not the scent of a rose you'd find in rose oil or rose scented products, it just has the intensity of a rose fresh flower, very natural and delicate. It also has a hint of black currant, but this note is there to accentuate the rose smell, in a very discreet way.

I wanted to buy Si Passione Eclat and also liked Murasaki a lot (I guess Wisteria though was a bit bitter in the summer so never bought it). Turnes out Ginza Intense is what I wanted! A perfect mix, its fruity, deep, sweet, elegant - amazing! Some may call it basic but I fell in love from the first sniff and start monitoring sales right now =)

At first try i was like “nice fruity rose nothing new similar to many things...” but as i kept smelling it on myself it really elaborates and however it is indeed mostly resembling Bath&Body Works You are the one, i can also feel similarity to Armani diamond - which is an interesting combination and which i found myself liking a lot after all

A strong rose with a synthetic musk in the base. Everything about this was better done in Dior Absolutely Blooming. Snooze.
