Majoromantica

What a lovely and magical scent. No matter what, it is very syrupy. Sometimes it smells like a slightly medicinal cherry and strawberry syrup, while other times it smells like sugar syrup infused with ripe berries and cherries. Sometimes I smell sugared red apples and dark rose petals. There is also an underlying citrus, but it is not strong. This perfume is intoxicating and beautifully bottled as well. The longevity is medium and so is the sillage. The dry down is more dry, sweet, and syrupy as opposed to more fruity when first applied. If anyone knows where to find the variations of this scent please dm me! I am looking for F and S specifically.

A lovely portion of scent. Experience dropping it around wrist and hair made it more special. They had some twists on each season but now hard to find it in Korea also in Japan. Hope they launch some new ones with milk and almond notes!

Strawberry, lemon, roses and vanilla. The scent that gave me my username. Dark, boozy, fruity syrup. Not the biggest fan of perfume oils, but I'll make an exception if I really like the scent.

„Majoromantica“ starts out with dense, boozy, fruity (dark red fruits), notes that are meaty but not necessarily too sweet. What I could distinguish were maybe cherry (but should be strawberry according to the pyramid), sugar, gardenia, some darker undercurrent which I cannot identify - maybe the maple or burnt sugar? After 3 hours, the upbeat fruity notes die down, flowers become more prominent - I mostly get a slightly powdery gardenia. Around hour 6, the fragrance becomes a soft amber-vanilla skin scent. Synthetic and generic, like something you have smelt a hundred times before, but still absolutely not bad. You will smell nice for at least 6 more hours, which is impressive. Overall, „Majoromantica“ is definitely darker than what I am used to from recent Japanese perfumery - which is a good thing. It represents a late 2000s/ early 2010s unabashed girly femininity, but with a dark-ish, borderline sexy twist. What makes this one so nice is the price. The ¥1750.- I paid made „Majoromantica“ certainly one of my better buys when it comes to cost-performance in recent years. Still, qualitywise, of course, this fragrance is not able to keep up with the great ones of the genre such as Zoologist‘s „Hummingbird“ or Marc Jacobs‘ „Daisy“. At times, it gets very synthetic, especially during the floral phase, and it is evident that this has been made with a young target group in mind. I bought „Majoromantica“ as a Disney-style Halloween scent and also for nostalgic reasons, because I did wear this fragrance around the time when it was first released and enjoyed it then. If you want a typical fragrance of the late 2000s that gives you a good performance at a small price (and comes in a handy size), you can give this one a try. It is a „like“ for me. This perfume actually is not discontinued. Infact they expanded their line to have more scents. This was my signature perfume in highschool in 2010-2013. It is amazing for the price but very sweet. One of the sweetest perfumes I've ever smelled. But not sweet like candy, sweet and syrupy warm. If you like Dior poison, or gourmand sweets, marshmallow, vanillas, i highly recommend trying this. You do not notice the florals, the floral adds a depth and you can't really notice it in the overall scent.

A dear friend brought this back for me when they visited family in Tokyo, and there's something wonderfully syrupy about it. It's sweet and fruity, yes, but less like berries and more like grenadine slowly mixing into vodka. Heady like a body but artificial like lipsmackers. Think Katy Perry's greatest quote– "I kissed a girl and I liked it, liked the taste of her cherry chapstick." She's not quite a slut but she's considering it!

For a dab on perfume this projects quite well. This was an impulse blind buy for me, not a huge regret, but I already have LL Sweet and I find them extremely similar (even though the sweet is cherry and this is strawberry). As it stands I don't wear Sweet that often, so not sure how much wear this will get.
