Rose Synactif

Clé de Peau's Synactif perfume smells just like their skincare and it is a very realistic rose scent, with slightly citrusy and berry nuances on a bed of fluffy and powdery musk. I get hints of white floral nuances from the jasmine and a slight spiciness from the anise, but this is all to enhance the intensely romantic scent of the rose, which is the star of Clé de Peau's Synactif. I feel very expensive when wearing this, like I have just come out of the Clé de Peau spa in Shiseido's flagship store in Ginza and I am about to go on a shopping spree in all of the luxury stores like Issey Miyake and Tae Ashida, before going off to my light lunch with my friends during a bright spring or summer afternoon. It is very feminine and it envelops me in an arm's length embrace of scent that lasts for about 4 hours, before slowly dissipating to nothing by the 5th hour. It is a slightly overpriced perfume for what you get I'll admit, but I still very much love Clé de Peau's sole fragrance and I had to buy a bottle when I was in Singapore at the Marina Bay Sands Shoppes. There are very few good rose perfumes that actually smell like roses and this is one of the best: an excellent 8.5/10 from me!

Rosy rose perfume! This perfume smells just like roses! Fresh cut roses with plump petals at their prime and a spritz of powdered milky scent with slight musk. Lemon Verbena, Lemon, Lemongrass, and Anise are the top notes; Rose, Juniper Berries, Jasmine Sambac, and Chrysanthemum are the middle notes; while Musk and White Woods are the base notes. Green Floral scent! Precious!

It's a very delightful and sophisticated perfume. Delicate rose starts, powdery and cold rose ends. but the price is too high.(it's almost $380 in my country) I like this perfume, but It's not worthy that price.

I have a used bottle of this 75% gone, it’s not my cup of tea, anything with Jasmine in it immediately makes me gag. PM me if you’re interested.

A delicate and sublime eau de parfum that I use as base for layering. Example I add TOM FORD Bois Marocain on top of this. Cle de Peau Synactif brings a sophisticated softness to any perfume you may find slightly plain. It behaves essentially as a very expensive skincare scent. People will treat you as if you come from the most expensive suite at the hotel. Subdued sophistication in a bottle, as Shiseido knows best.

When looking at the bottle, the bottle of Chloe & Lamar's "Unbreakable" fragrance comes to mind. They're both somewhat similar. While I do enjoy rose fragrances, I haven't had the chance to check this one out as I'm not exactly sure where I can find it (in-store) either. Anyone know? (And yes, the price is extremely ridiculous considering it's by a skincare line).

@ Tovah: This is actually a new ancillary to the old Clé de Peau Beauté line by Shiseido that has been around for years. Many people loved the aroma of the skincare range so much that I guess the company finally gave in and released a fragrance version of it. But $300? I'll pass.

The longevity is poor, the projection is moderated. The rose is very subtle here with a hint of greenness and powderyness. Really do smell like some sort of expensive face cream; elegant and sophisticated but consider the price... not worth it!

A whispy rose light and aquatic. A yellow rose almost white. Playful and young, breezy and eyelet-clad.
