Desert Flower

A memory from my childhood as daddy often gave this to mom. Warm and soft, a little bit sweet, a little bit spicy. The body lotion and powder were even nicer than the perfume. The personification of "nice"

My mother wore this when I was a child and it was a nice, warm scent on her. I would like to get a vintage bottle of this; however, I have several vintage scents and I have found that the "splash ons", unless never opened (in a sealed container) tend to loose their scent or even go rancid. So I am searching for either a spray on (like my Evening in Paris which kept beautifully or a sealed splash on. Hopefully I will find one soon and experience the same build up from flowers to nice musky middle and soft warm dry down that I remember.

Found a mint, never sprayed old aerosol. Love the bottle! It feels like a bottle that might hold Aladdin. So far it’s reminding me of Johnson’s baby powder. Does that seem right, or does it mean it’s rancid? As it progresses, it’s making me wonder if this was something of a dupe of Helena Rubinstein’s “Heaven Sent” — the timing is right, and it really reminds me of it. I don’t think I’ll keep this. I got a good deal and I’d sell at my cost, please PM if you’re interested.

It was a very nice fragrance, I remember as a child how good smelled, I ordered 3 bottles at the same time from Ebay, the 3 bottles were unbelievable rancid, very stale, did not keep well, each bottle was about 15 dollars, I just couldn't bother to return, but if you see it from Ebay dont orderederd because is not a perfume that keeps well, the sellers should have warm that the perfume inside the bottles were very rancin and it was impossible to wear it.

Sorry not a review, my best friend contacted me about a year ago looking for this fragrance, it was her mother’s signature scent when she was very young. And she has been feeling nostalgic and would like to purchase it for herself ( so she can open the bottle and recall some of her youth:) So far I’ve only managed to find it available in Canada, waiting for a family member to take a vacation or else, Niagara Falls here I come;)

Desert Flower was always the perfume, especially the lotion you gave your favorite teacher for Christmas and sometimes, when your mother wasn't looking you gave it to her. And this was even before I moved to the desert with my family in junior high. Another decent fragrance we do miss.
