(Spoiler: Being a muggle in perfumery, I am not in any sense deeply educated in all these theories, notes, perfume structures etc., so my review is totally based on subjective perception) This is a tropical, green and gourmand-ish (but not really) perfume. Starts off with a green, floral-herbal smell with a prominent mango note - definitely not the ripe, nectar-dripping sweet mango, but quite the contrary, a green mango with a slight sourness and greenness to it. Transports me to an exotic tropical orchard on a hot summer day. However, as it dries down, the sharp greenness steps aside, and an ever-so-slight milkiness comes in the form of coconut-sandalwood combo. Mixed with the green mango note, the combination is unmistakably tropical; but it does not have the typical sweetness of any gourmand fragrance either. Longevity is OK but not remarkable (4-6 hours) and moderate sillage; but the smell is just uplifting. A very, very interesting scent unlike any other for being distinctly tropical without leaning into gourmand territory, and undoubtedly a great summer scent.

I've been wandering around on a sniffing/nose training (for fun) journey. I have been so intrigued by Siam 1928 and grabbed the 16 piece discovery set. I gotta say, I'm wondering if my nose is broken, but I absolutely LOVE this. I always do a blind sniff and take notes. I wrote down: 'lime, green mango, punchy and fresh. roasted green tea, ginger,Thai basil. Green, herbal mixed with a woodiness on the dry down.This scent is effervescent and tingles my nose a little at first sniff.' I'm giddy with how much I liked it, immediate wish list. After checking out the official notes, I had a few, but so off on other notes. I get the lavender and galbanum for sure, no hint of coconut to my nose.I don't think tropical in the classic sense though I'm not familiar with a Thai jungle. I'm so impressed by this - it's distinct, unlike anything I've tried. It's an exciting fragrance that perks me up.

I looooooooove this. Initially, I couldn't place the fragrance. I thought it smelled bitter and green like unripe fig. Then, when I saw the description of tropical, I immediately thought of passionfruit. Finally, I saw that mango was a key note and realized that was what I was smelling all along. To me, though, this fragrance really does sway between all of those images for me. I would love to own this, but (to me, specifically, because I associate it with those other scents) this is so similar to fragrances I already own that I can't justify adding it to my collection.

Truely unique fragrance with fougere structure. Good for summer. The well blended green mango, galbanum, coconut and magnolia scent, transforms itself into something green, fruity and soapy clean. It leans toward masculine side. Projection is limited, but longivity is not bad at all. Fresh, green and creative. Love it 🤎

This is one of the most challenging fragrances I have ever smelled. I constantly go back and forth between liking it and hating it, and the monstrous/eternal performance here (both projection and longevity) is part of that yin/yang. Once in the drydown, the shrillest notes have vanished and what's left is a mango/passionfruit/coconut vibe that softly screams tropical drink. And the sweetness comes out in the drydown, as well. For me, this is unwearable, but I can totally see this being something that is perfect for the right kind of adventurous soul.
