Kubera Raja

Kubera was good intense. Resinous surrounding white floral with a spiced and slightly green opening. Overall its a green and black vibe it’s intense feels very much like a very well done floral incense much better than most western interpretations. Does feel slightly ceremonial although in terms of formality this would be second best after Virulhaka Raja. That to me felt a little more finely tuned, composed and stronger projection. Kubera is a solid night out fragrance if you dress the part.

Ah this one has Prin’s fingerprints all over it! Wonderful stuff if you are familiar with his work - very reminiscent of stuff from “Prissana”.

I ordered a full bottle and two samples from Glin Dee, and a sample of Kubera Raja was included with my order. The listed notes definitely sound up my alley, but the combination of incense, clove and cumin is really overwhelming the florals. I dont think it’s really helped by an unpleasant indolic note from the white florals, and I am usually a big fan of white florals. As it evolves, it becomes more chypre-like, which, again, is a genre I love, but this one doesn’t quite land for me. I adored their execution of white florals with Jade Petals, but Kubera isn’t quite as successful to my nose. In the dry down I definitely see potential and I will give it another shot.
