Leisure in Paradise

I really like this. This is perfect, encapsulated summer to me. It feels summer in the way of an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean (not, e.g., summers spent in European art museums a la the Uffizi or partying in Ibiza). This is a tropical, maybe kind of cheap, vacation. You are probably wearing some brightly-colored pastel or neon pink printed shorts (think Lily Pulitzer) or your cutest bikini. You've got on giant, Breakfast at Tiffany's sunglasses and, maybe, a large hat. You are most definitely drinking pina coladas (this, in fact, really smells like a pina colada to me). There is definitely a pool and definitely a white sand beach - so you can change your waters from time to time. It manages to evoke this WITHOUT smelling like sunscreen which is already going to make it a 9/10 for me. Instead, this really focuses on the pineapple to bring a bright, sharp and tangy edgy to the sunscreen sweetness of the coconut and vanilla. Both the coconut and vanilla are light, subdued and not heavy handed. Maybe a bit artificial, yes, but again we are at an all-inclusive Cabo or Bahamas resort and we aren't trying to be that classy. There are Ugly Americans around everywhere and, honestly, that's fine because it's (a) nostalgic and (b) honestly a pretty nice beach vacation that doesn't break the bank? It doesn't matter, you're having fun. And this is nothing if not fun and youthful and unpretentious. I don't get any woody notes here at all. This, for me, is pretty much coconut + pineapple + vanilla, but well blended and I can enjoy it because of that. As it dries, the vanilla is more and more pronounced, but the tropical note stays, elevating it a bit. It also goes a little more woody, at last after probably an hour. Let me be clear, this is quite gourmand so you need to like very sweet fragrances. However, it is not overly fruity or coconut-y which usually causes me to dislike these types of fragrances. I enjoy it and it makes me dream of childhood vacations to the Caribbean with mom and dad or cheap Panama City haunts during my sorority days. But like slightly more elevated? I still won't purchase a bottle because it doesn't do my nose too many favors, for some reason (I am super sensitive and won't discredit this one for that flaw of mine).

Imagine a freshly made juice with papaya, pineapple and a splash of coconut water with the coconut pulp still in it. This is not your typical piña colada fragrance, and it definitely isn't another generic coconut-heavy summer perfume. The papaya is what makes it stand out. The vanilla is beautifully blended. It doesn't make the fragrance sugary or dessert-like. Instead, it smooths everything out and gives the fruits a soft, creamy feel. The funny thing is that I actually hate eating papaya. I can't stand the fruit. Yet somehow, in this perfume, it works beautifully. Mixed with the pineapple and coconut, it creates something unique that I haven't found in other fragrances. I can picture myself wearing this while walking along the beach in the late afternoon, having dinner at a seaside restaurant, or enjoying drinks on a terrace just before sunset. It also works surprisingly well for warm summer evenings because it feels tropical without smelling cheap, overly sweet or like sunscreen. The projection is moderate at first and gradually becomes more intimate after a few hours, which I actually enjoy because people notice it when they're close without it filling an entire room. On my clothes, it lasts around 8 hours, which is very good for this type of fragrance. Yes, it's expensive. But honestly, I haven't found another fragrance at a lower price that captures this papaya note so naturally. That's exactly what separates it from the countless summer fragrances that all end up smelling like coconut and piña coladas. If you're looking for another generic tropical fragrance, this probably isn't it. But if you want something elegant, unique and unmistakably summery, it's absolutely worth trying.

It is amazing, I'm cannot believe I found a perfume like this! It is super delicious, very creamy tropical vanilla. It smells like a total vacation bottle. Like being in some place beautiful, warm, with all the delicious tastes of the exotic destination and desserts. I don't like coconut scents in most ceses, but here it is blended to perfection and does not have that dated coconut - aquatic typical holiday scent or sunscreen vibe. Here vanilla is much stronger, and it is creamy, sweet and delicious, like a vanilla cream with a touch of rich coconut. Plus beautiful tropical fruit! It is hard to put a finger on the exact fruit variety, which I sense here, so I guess it must be papaya, because to me it doesn't have a very distinct smell, but rather a general tropical fruit vibe. Pineapple is also blended very well and it is not stright forward in this perfume. Do no pina colada here, but I'm glad actually, because this is so unique. It is like all other houses tried to create a scent like this, but only Simone Andreoli managed to achieve the perfect gourmand creamy delicious tropical vacation in a bottle scent. Oh, also it is a bit lactonic and reminds me a bit of a delicious creamy passion fruit yogurt. It is a true leisure in paradise 😍 Performance is superb, good projection and impressive longevity for such scent profile. And best of all, zero musk! Although it screams vacation and warm weather, I think it is more suited for not so hot days, when you actually need for a bit of vacation to come to you. On hot days/during workout it might be a touch too sticky /sweet.

A gorgeous fun and flirty warm/hot weather fragrance! I'm so excited summer is here so I get to wear her more frequently. I get all the notes listed from the top notes to the dry down, the pineapple, papaya and coconut are blended beautifully so it smells luxurious. As it dries down, I get more vanilla, though it's present throughout the wear. Spillage and projection are moderate (if I do 4 to 5 sprays), but I overspray if I'm going out and she projects well and garners compliments. I also brought a decant of LIP to Punta Cana but I almost couldn't tell what it was when smelling it there initially (I forgot to label all my decants and had a few tropical scents), but then I sprayed on one arm and spray a different fragrance on the other and it hit me and developed beautifully in the heat. I found I had to really overspray there to get it to last, otherwise longevity is moderate 6 to 7 hours. I'm so happy to have this beauty in my collection and would highly recommend sampling as I don't know that this would be for everyone. I would give this a solid 10/10 for a sexy tropical fragrance and will repurchase when I run out. 🥰❤️

Leisure in Paradise & Buontalenti comparison: On me, this smells 90% similar to Buontalenti. I love them both! The only difference is that Leisure in Paradise is more vanilla prominent with more of that play dough vanilla feel. Whereas Buontalenti is more fruity. Otherwise, if you own one, you don’t need the other unless you are crazy for that scent profile. I would also say that Leisure in Paradise can be worn in cold weather, whereas Buontalenti cannot due to the extra fruity touch. They are both equally delicious and scrumptious and they smell like baked vanilla goodies with a banana-ish base and vanilla jelly beans 🍌🍪🍦 Also, if you have never smelt either, then Leisure in paradise smells like a delicious coconutty and vanilla jelly bean. Emphasis on the vanilla. Yummy! 😋 Ps. Buontalenti is slightly stronger and more long lasting, but Leisure in paradise still has decent longevity and sillage. Also, the two are strictly for gourmand lovers in my opinion because they smell VERY delicious and edible Hope that helps if you are confused on which one to go for! 💕

Oh my word... this one is an instant mood-lift in a bottle! It opens with this gorgeous burst of rum and creamy fruit — think rum-and-raisin ice cream on holiday, but made elegant. The banana note is there, but not in a jokey way; more soft, smooth, and blends beautifully into the creamy sweetness rather than screaming “tropical cocktail.” As it settles, everything rounds out into this lush, warm, creamy cloud that’s somehow boozy, cosy and uplifting all at once. No harsh edges, no sharp coconut, no cheap sunscreen vibe — just pure, creamy, soft-focus joy. It honestly smells like smiling. The dry down? Glorious. Gentle, creamy, sweet-skin warmth with just enough rum left to keep it interesting. Total wrist-sniffer! If you love warm, creamy, fruity scents that feel like sunshine and comfort, this one is absolutely worth trying. On me, it’s a proper love. Sample first if you’re unsure about boozy notes, but honestly... this one is hard not to fall for.

I’m so glad I can review this stunning perfume! Imagine an incredible high quality Piña Colada on your skin. Coconut fruit and milk here are the main players, ananas and papaya are prominent just to let coconut stand out in its perfection. It is a tropical and sweet fragrance but it delivers something so delicate which is difficult to detect but definitely makes the whole juice truly lovely. The woods are detectable after a few hours of wearing but I reckon they prevent the fragrance from being too sweet from the beginning to the end. Longevity and sillage are absolutely incredible, you’ll leave a wonderful trail and if you spray more than 4-5 times you will easily fill an entire room, but it will never be headache inducing or that sort of things, high quality ingredients make the difference here. I love this tropical beauty and I can’t recommend it enough!

Just bought this perfume and I love it!! It went pretty viral on social media but now it’s died down now I’ll buy it 😂😂. I first tried another fragrance that I thought I was going to buy but luckily it was out of stock because after 30 minutes it went odd on me but this one stayed true! Even though it’s winter where I am now I’m still going to wear this because only at the start is it a focus on the fruits but after the dry down on me it goes this cakey, sweet, creamy fruity cake and I love it! Some moments it’s mango drizzle on buttery cookies, then it’s peach cobbler 😍😍😍 I think I can wear this actually more in winter than summer as it goes so warm and cakey that might not suit summer. The coconut note does a lot of heavy lifting in keeping it a smooth and consistent base while the vanilla kisses all the fruits 🥰. I’m in love with this one!

From a 1 ml sample gifted by Amyris Essense. The hand written label on the vial had run blurry from a leak. All that was visible was L _ and P_ with the rest of the word lost in a blue smear. Had to sleuth what the juice actually was so I sprayed. First: Alcohol for 5 or more seconds. Second: Cream with a hint of Coconut. Then the coconut took first seat, creamy, gently sweet and realistic. SO beautiful! Do not fear the fruit, for me, it stays in the background. The longevity is excellent but the silage is more like a skin scent. A very expensive skin scent that make me feel as stunning as the scent. I can't believe I need another coconut fragrance, but YES I DO. I need "Leisure in Paradise" in my already too large, can't possibly use all this in a lifetime collection. Full Bottle, pls. All you people that are hating on it, please list.

I love this perfume. I have been looking for a coconut fragrance for summer, but I've only found two that didn't smell like sunscreen (this one and Coconut Sun by The 7 Virtues). This one is fruity, creamy, and sweet, but it's not too heavy. I only have a sample of this, but I've been reaching for it every week as the weather heats up. The coconut isn't too strong, and it blends really well with the tropical fruits. I have found that I've needed to reapply throughout the day, but that may be because I don't have a sprayer. If you're not a fan of gourmand fragrances, this probably isn't something you'd like. It's not too sweet because I think the fruits give it some acidity, but there's no sharpness to this fragrance. Smells almost like a pineapple upside down cake with some coconut.

This is my favourite summer scent from Simone Andreoli, having also sampled Malibu - Party in the Bay and Sunplosion. On me, I smell mainly juicy pineapples, a hint of papaya, and cream. It's such a fun but classy and unique fragrance. Every time I put it on, I am reminded of drinking fruity cocktails on a Caribbean beach, and that I am in dire need of a beach vacation! Longevity, projection and sillage are impressive. Once after 8 hours I had gone noseblind, but when I walked through the front door of my home, my husband who was standing 3 feet away from me announced "You smell gooooood!!!" I have a bottle from batch 0923, and will repurchase once I use it up.

I've been curious about Giardini Di Toscana’s Bora Bora and this perfume for over a year. (I have both; no, they do not smell alike.) I came across it through Jaxbeautifulyou and Veronica Says, two of my favorite fragrance YouTubers, who both raved about it. Despite my initial reluctance due to the papaya note, I finally caved in and ordered a bottle from Scent Split, along with a sample, just in case. To my surprise, I found myself enjoying the scent. A chance encounter at the UPS store with a young girl's delighted reaction reaffirmed my confidence in my choice. It is a delightful addition to my collection with its excellent longevity and sillage.

I’m honestly in shock that I have not seen anyone else reference a black licorice note in the opening of Leisure in Paradise.... Upon first spray, I get this black licorice essence that tickles my nose, but in the best way possible (I love licorice). It quickly goes away within the first few seconds and the pineapple really pulls through. The pineapple is quite prominent the first 5-10 minutes but settles in nicely to a blend of pineapple, coconut and vanilla. This scent reminds me of a pineapple upside down cake, it’s creamy, sweet, fruity, fluffy yet dense. It’s actual perfection in a bottle!

As someone who had both 0523 and a different batch, it was 10000% a batch issue. Initially I had bought Batch 0523 & was apalled by how disgusting and spoilt it smellt. It had brown liquid and smellt metallic, like expired perfume. I returned that and bought a different batch (0923) grom vinted because I did NOT want to risk getting batch 0523 again, and to my surprise- IT SMELLT AMAZING!! This perfume is beautiful and has the perfect tropical scent that I have been looking for. I can highly recommend this gorgeous, juicy & creamy scent. AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT GET ONE FROM BATCH 0523!!!

Received my decant of this yesterday, been wanting to try this for SOO LONG & i was not disappointed. I don’t usually like fruity fragrances at all as i feel they can turn quite sour or synthetic on me. This is sooo creamy, like a fruit smoothie with a ton of cream, the creaminess reminds me of Scarlet Poppy by JM...they share zero notes though. On skin the creamy laconic notes pop out more & on clothes i get more of the fruit. I find LIP to be very smooth not something i would compare to a body mist, it’s very addicting and well made. Verdict is still out on longevity & silage.

Even if you're a man, buy this, smelling like a tropical, sexy and sweet drink is unisex. I love this fragrance, it smells like one of those cocktail bars on a tropical beach; sweet, fruity and sexy. Im from Italy so the temperature is kind of high during nights too (in summers) so I can say that if the temperature is similar in your country too, you can wear it during hot days and nights. I don't recommend a blind buy since it's very sweet and I know that some people don't like sweet fragrances. But for sure one of my favorites fragrances in my collection!

This is a delight! Leisure in Paradise is an uncomplicated summery vanilla sweetened by tropical fruits. The woody notes add a nice touch to keep it from getting too juvenile. The final dry-down does have a suncream/lotion smell, but it feels intentionally done to give off a beachy vibe. Though the sillage is intimate, it projects just enough for others close-by to catch your scent trail. I actually appreciate the lightness of this scent as this would be too cloying were it made with a heavier hand.

LET ME START BY SAYING I OWN OVER 200 PERFUMES, AND THIS IS ONE I WILL KEEP TO GIVE UP EVERY OTHER PERUMFE. SCENT WISE, THIS BRAND IS THE ONLY BRAND TO TAKE FRUIT AND COCONUT AND NOT MAKE IT FLORAL!!!!! like sunplosion became tooooooo floral! this right here is 10/10!! IS IT WORTH 200 BUCKS? NO PERFUME IS BUT ILL BUY IR TEGARDLESS OF THE PRICE. notihn comes close. its not beast mode so you need to bathe in it so if your asking if its loud... nope but its stunnings

I was on the hunt for a tropical perfume for the summer months and my search has stopped right here with Leisure in Paradise! The opening of this is utterly delicious, it’s a burst of coconut and then dries down to a soft coconut with juicy fruit. This scent takes me away to the beach, sipping a cocktail while the sea crashes around me. I can’t wait to wear this when the weather warms up in the UK!

Opens with a sugary vanilla and coconut. Bright and youthful. Reminds me of a summery body mist, but elevated and classy. The level of sweetness comes across as feminine leaning, but it’s so pleasant smelling that who cares. If you’re looking for a fruity, vanilla, coconut beach smell... This has that profile on lock. Drys down to a very creamy vanilla that reminds me a lot of Lira. It's good.
