Ocean of a Midnight Moon

This smells almost like every "blue" designer scent at the moment merged into one. That may sounds like a blessing to some, or really sad for others. I personally love it, sure it's not really innovative, but it makes everything you want as a blue freshie. It has that strong "aquatic" touch from the opening, with a juicy and sharp bergamot, I can smell also some metallic touch from something that could be ambroxan, that note is really piercing and eternal, it never leaves the skin. I smell also a strong herbal and incensy vibe, that fits the name and the colour of the bottle, it really is a "night time" more than a "day time" scent ( it's also perfect for a really hot summer day, but it's more about the vibe of the scent). The fir, mint, leather are indeed present, and give character, spiciness and woodiness to the juice. This indeed smells like you're in the middle of nowhere, on a boat, with the full moon reflecting her lights on the black waves of the sea and on the rocks of a desert island nearby. To sum it up, I'd say this smells like you would blend the bergamot-ambroxan touch from Sauvage, with the "Deep Water" vibe from Bvlgari Aqva, accompanied by the incense note of ADG Profumo. But where these 3 may smell a bit "boring" in the drydown, this one keeps its intensity and its interest, the notes keep to blend in perfectly and it never gets annoying or generic. This lasts for ages and projects really strongly, in fact it performs in both longevity-projection as a winter scent, I'll try this more, but in any case I've never experienced such a strong aquatic fragrance. Might be a bit pricey, but if you consider this one you don't need any other aquatic imo.

This is, without question, my favourite woody fragrance from Simone Andreoli. I’ve tried almost the entire brand over the years, and this one consistently comes out on top. It’s beautifully balanced: polished and composed, yet with just enough edge to give it personality and stop it from blending into the background of my collection. What I love most is its versatility. It feels completely at ease worn day or night, dressed up or down, and it never feels out of place. I’d comfortably call it unisex, though I’ll admit my own tastes skew a little wider than most. The oud is handled with real finesse here, working in harmony with the aromatic elements rather than overpowering them. After five or six hours, it settles into a soft, mellow mélange that lingers close to the skin, quietly confident and endlessly wearable. If I had to recommend a single fragrance from the brand as a blind buy, this would be it. It’s office-safe without being boring, characterful without being intrusive, it has presence, but it isn’t rude. And when my current bottle runs dry, there’s no hesitation: I’ll absolutely be replacing it.

یه عطر با طراوت آروماتیک دریایی، به قدری متعادل که دوست داری هر ثانیه بوش کنی و ازش سیر نمیشی. رایحه اولیش خنک و یخیه با ته مایه ای تلخ، بعد کم کم بیس چوبی ادویه ای اسپایسی را میشه حس کرد. یه تعادل بین حس طراوت و تازگی با گرمی شیرین داره که دقیقا هم نشاط آور و هم آرامبخشه. فوق العاده عطر نرمیه و متعادل، رایحه تقریبا خطی داره و خیلی تغییری نمیکنه. عطر پیچیده ایه، اصلا عطر ساده تک نوتی نیست، بدون اینکه آدم ازش خسته بشه یا سردرد بگیره میتونی ازش پاف زیاد هم بزنی. رایحه ش نافذه و زود از بینی تون خارج نمیشه. عطر شبیه ش کول واتر یا آکوا دجیو جورجی آرمانی هست ولی اینا اون خنکی توشون غالبه در حالی که میدنایت هم شیرین تره و هم چوبی، یه شباهت هایی به کیرید اونتوس هم داره تو به خاطر رایحه آروماتیکش. بازخوردش بالاس،ازونا که به احتمال زیاد بپرسن عطرتون چیه. نوشته یونیکس ولی عطر کاملا مردونه س. هم وایب یه استایل رسمی مدیر طور را میتونه بده هم یه استایل پیراهنی که دکمه بالاش بازه. عطر شیک و جنتلمن طوریه. من اگه بخوام برم خواستگاری اینو میزنم.

Honestly, I was deeply impressed the moment I tried it. Normally, aquatic fragrances make me feel nauseous — I can’t tolerate the mossy or salty notes they often contain. I’m only just starting to get used to even 40 Knots. But this is something completely different. I tried Luxury Akdeniz, and just like I mentioned above, I almost felt sick and immediately wanted to wash my hands. In my opinion, Ocean Midnight doesn’t really smell similar to Akdeniz. Ocean Midnight is as mass-appealing as possible while still being extremely well-balanced and versatile enough for every situation. It creates the perfect bridge between mainstream appeal and niche perfumery. The moment I tried it, I immediately ordered a bottle. I can already tell it’s going to be one of the fragrances I reach for often during summer. Especially for slightly breezy breakfasts in the morning or evening walks, I think it will be a perfect companion.

wore this to work today and my co-worker said "you smell like a sexy pool". keep in mind, this co-worker is sitting at least three feet away from me. needless to say, great projection on this one. it definitely smells very cologne-y, but the aquatic freshness of it is so intoxicating that I really don't mind that. it's deeper and richer than other "blue" fragrances i've tried, and it's definitely unique in my collection. now, a different friend described this as having a "speed stick-y opening", so that's something to bear in mind as well, but again, I actually like that about this scent.

When you spray it on you get hit with the D&G Light Blue Intense opening - juniper, citrus, etc. A little harsh. But this immediately fades into a much better quality version. A touch of sweetness, a little seawater, and very smooth. If you like this style this is a near perfect version of this note combination and perfect for Summer. It's not unique but it's a true quality version. And the longevity is excellent (beware the projection - more than 2 sprays will fill the room).

This is one of the nicest perfumes I bought in a long time. It is not mainstream but nevertheless very accessible, uncomplex and refined at the same time. It is a juniper-freshy. Wearable on any occasion and office safe. Reminds me of Gentle Fluidity Silver by Francis Kurkdjian but I like this more. It is one of the few perfumes I get occasionally complimented on.

Aquatic that reminds me of ADG Profumo, but with higher Quality ingredients and performance. First times wearing i was underwhelmed, but after a few wearings , i started to understand this beauty. It does not do anything special but it's good at what it does! If you like Aquatics, deffenetly give it a sample✌️ garners compliments if that's your thing 🤗

Un profumo marino ben equilibrato senza quella nota ozonica. Unisex e persistente. L'apertura di agrumi rinfresca l'aria che successivamente ci trasporta in mezzo all'oceano e la sue spumeggianti onde. Al primo annuso non mi aveva convinto, ma dopo un ora il profumo si è scaldato e ha preso a raccontare. Un bellissimo profumo.

A very solid aquatic scent that has strong fresh masculine and mature vibes. Performance and projection are great.

Best aquatic and marine scent! Think Acqua di Gio with a deeper, darker undertone, very nice! PS: no oud in here!

This fragrance is a must try for this house.

I’m more familiar with describing feminine scents, and this is definitively masculine-leaning, but it was part of a sample set so I gave it a try. I don’t know how it simultaneously manages to smell like both the sea and a forest, but it’s what I get. There’s a saltiness combined with a piney feel - there’s something aromatic which is giving an eye-watering spicy punch. It’s glorious. Like the Fresh RealmanTM️ smells lined up in Boots but somehow deeper, richer, elevated? Essentially, to me it evokes the smells of my dad getting ready to go out with my mum on a Saturday night in the 90s - the smell of hair mousse under my mum’s hairdryer, the babysitter arriving, Dad’s slightly wet hair, the liberal spraying of a fresh and spicy classic aquatic, followed by the rush to get out the door for a reservation or taxi. Take from this what you will. All this to say: this is an aromatic aquatic banger.

This is the Acqua di Gio of the niche perfumery. Opens quite loud, marine, spicy and dry and it projects well, without being offensive, for the first 3 hours, then it becomes a fresh sweet skin scent lasting for who knows how long. It realy lasts quite a while! Classy, clean and well blended. Highly recommended for the person who loves this sort of scent DNA.

Smells like aqua di gio and ralph lauren's Cool Water had a baby. Very 90s, very familiar, Unisex. Nothing new here. I was disappointed.

This is a strong aquatic fragrance with a noticeable tone of peppermint. To me, it leans masculine and a little green, but it has great longevity and strong sillage — and it’s beast mode when oversprayed. Personally, I prefer Ocean Leather by Memo Paris, but I’m glad I tried this fragrance and a small decant will last me a very long time.

It’s okay. More masculine than unisex and a resemblance to any other generic ”blue” scent available of the market. Nothing wrong with that, but nothing my heart claps faster for. I would need to revisit it in summer, but I don’t detect any juniper berries or driftwood that I hoped for.

I’m rating based on a decant, and in comparison to all of the reviews I’m wondering if mine was a bit off. On my skin I’m getting the briny-ness of ocean, except that it smells almost like olives. Not much citrus - so, again maybe that faded out and my decant is off. Did not smell as expected based on so many great reviews, but that’s why we order samples I suppose. On to the next.

I wanted this perfume to smell like someone who was sexy and enjoyed the ocean. all I got was a strong spicy hit of artificial locker room deodorant in a metallic, too strong way that pervaded the whole room. It was super artificial and I got none of the ocean notes and only leather and spicy wood and not in a good way, in a deodorant or overly masculine body wash way. :(

Ooof. This huge oceanic chemical opening note is terrible. I sprayed a swatch and literally had to throw it away in another room and then air out the room that the swatch was sprayed in.

The start is very nice, but after some time a component enters the stage which completely turns me off.

I’ve read some reviews on different webs and bought a decant. I’m happy AF that I didn’t blindbought it! Nothing “midnight” or “dark” - it’s a light and fresh frag, but somehow it’s stuffy for me. Idk what notes give that, but I detect coconut chips. Mint is dirty and dusty here, like it was dumped on the roadside in hot sweaty summer. Yes, the whole frag is fresh, but I can’t relate it with other “blue” and aquatic frags I know. It has far vibes of Dior’s Sauvage, but - again - it’s stuffy and has that cursed coconut note. Also it’s way too sweet. For me - a total NO.

You have a fresh start with this perfume, and then after 10 seconds you can smell seaweed. It is not in the notes, but it is there. Horrible stinky smell of seaweed. Sorry this is a no. Same as Acqua di sale Profumum roma

Again, there is this one note that Simone Andreoli seems to love and I just cannot bear. This powdery, leathery something ruins it for me. If it wasn't there I could imagine this to be a nice, green, male fragrance...

Oh man. I do love me some myrtle. Gorgeous peppery-spiced, ozonic, fresh, smoky, aquatic with depth. More “perfumey” which leans mature wear and suggests a dressed up summer night event. On initial spray, it has a subtle Zest Di Sorrento fruitiness which stays lowkey but really rounds out the opening and provides balance. Spicy, light smoky wood - like the damp, charred wood laying in the sand after a bonfire. If you’ve ever strolled along the beach, alone at night, warm sea breeze against your skin, lost in meditation, embracing the perfect timing of the moonlight as it dances gracefully across each wave, you will find this appealing. It’s quite lovely.

I’ve met Simone and spoken with him at length and I have a bottle of this signed by the man himself. This is his favourite fragrance and one of mine. I am not a charlatan and I write honest reviews. I don’t need to boast about having 200 bottles or just chat nonsense because I’m trying to prove myself to strangers online. This has incredible performance and smells like the sea under a moonlit sky, with a forest breeze in the background. Simple but complex at the same time. I love how it smells fresh as well as having this dark side too it too, the woods and the myrtle. Also there’s no oud in this? Not sure what some reviews below mean by this..

Amazing fresh fragrance! Performance is also amazing! For me this kills any freshie on the designer market. Has the perfect balance of freshness, saltiness, sweetness, herbaceous and woodiness. You do sense the leather as well as it dries down which blends in beautifully adding some nice depth. don’t expect anything fancy with this one, just an excellent versatile scent that can be used year round. One of the most pleasing representations of an oceanic scent.

Masculine, blue, salty scent. Agree with the comparisons to Aqua di Gio with some added spiciness. I perceive coriander and something harsh like ambroxan or amberwood. Sample it first. I still would prefer Aqua di Gio on a man, because it is smooth with no harsh "niche" notes.

This is probably my favorite fresh scent! Take everything you love about ADG Profumo and turn it niche, stronger and slight tweaks that make it even more appealing and masculine.
