Smoke Of God

I love it, it is the first time I finished a bottle in just a few months considering the amount of perfume I own. It is a pure church incense with a blast of tickling fizziness. The kind I love. It is an Assam of India from Berdoue on steroids with massive dose of incense...

Apparently it has changed its name to Smoke of Desert. It is a pure sweet church incense, nothing less and nothing more. At first I wanted to give away my sample but I started liking it. I see it as a fine dining and theatre fragrance for cold autumn.

The problem with incense centered fragrances, is that sooner of later they all smell the same. This one on the other hand, though similar in structure, has something different to offer. The combination of absinthe and amyris is rather enjoyable here and makes the entire scent very smooth, polished and elegant. However, the name is a bit misleading as this fragrance is not that smoky to begin with, and it's very wearable compared to other incense fragrances.

Dark,intense...but not very different to other incense parfum...but this has absinthe and amyris that which in my opinion have nothing to do with it. average performance.

Aromatic conifer and smoky resin with a boozy vibe. I like it, very surprising.

I was really hoping to choke on incense with this one, but on me it was rather boozy; like drinking a cocktail (rhum and coke maybe?) in a room where incense was burned at some point and where there are maybe leather armchairs somewhere. I didn't get much development or longevity out of it.

Holy sweet heaven! I am not usually one for a churchy incense, but this one is very addictive. I think because it is fairly sweet, and the styrax adds a really nice resinous balmy element. Elemis and incense (of the churchy kind) can be rather sour, not here. Softly purringly sweet, balmy, churchy. Not getting absynthe, nor leather, perhaps on the drydown. I do like this as far of churchy incense goes, but I'm still much more a fan of the oriental buddhist type of temple incense. I guess it makes sense as I gravitate towards that religion far more :o)

The name of this blend is quite amusing and i was hoping for something dark, weird, mysterious, and brand new but unfortunately it turned to be very similar to "Casbah" by Robert Piguet , & "07" by Odin.

Incense +your favorite pine wood body wash in the opening. Short after it s incense only. Like it!
