Opens with pepper and dates.Dates are a bit sweet and nutty. There is hint of saffron that gives off a leather nuances and is braced with smokey woods and tobacco. Drydown is mildy sweet and resinous. Reminds me of middle-eastern frag in the opening and people might find it challenging but drydown is just done right. Its complex and well blended winter wear.

Don't get any vanilla or dates from this fragrance, mainly leather and patchouli. Smooths out in the dry down but a bit harsh in the opening.

This fragrance immediately creates a very specific image in my mind. A young man in a brown leather jacket is standing at a party. In one hand, he holds a half-smoked cigarette; in the other, a glass of strong liquor. Lingering on his jacket is a faint trace of sweet feminine perfume, as if a girl who had been charmed by his attention and flirtation had only just left his side. That is exactly the atmosphere this fragrance evokes for me. It feels charismatic, confident, and unmistakably leather-focused. The leather is not merely one element among many here—it is the true protagonist of the composition. The other notes seem to frame and support it rather than compete with it. This is very much a leather soliloquy. To my nose, this is a distinctly masculine fragrance. It does not feel soft, romantic, or particularly unisex. Instead, it carries a sense of confidence, boldness, and a touch of provocation. It evokes someone who is comfortable attracting attention and naturally finds themselves at the center of a room. The longevity is also worth mentioning. The fragrance lasts exceptionally well and was surprisingly difficult to remove. It remains present on both skin and clothing long after application, continuing to make itself known for hours. Personally, I would not consider myself a fan of this fragrance. First, leather is not a note I naturally gravitate toward in perfumery. Second, this feels much more masculine than feminine to me. However, that does not prevent me from appreciating both the quality of the composition and the clarity of its concept. The fragrance has a very strong identity and communicates its mood exceptionally well. It is easy to imagine exactly who might wear it and in what setting. For that reason, even though it does not align with my personal taste, I find it interesting and well executed. Anyone who enjoys leather fragrances—especially men looking for something confident, distinctive, and slightly provocative—should definitely give it a try.

Only smelled on test strip so take with a grain of salt. To me this gives slightly more rugged and rustic cousin of Tuscan leather. Not as fruity and elegant but more aromatic incense.

Nose blind buy gone BAD. Have you ever been in some spiritual retreat unlocked 2 or 3 spiritual dimensions you were not yet ready to visit and wonder if you were going to die that same night or not? If not you cannot understand my feels ... The ritual resin, tobacco it is really strong here. I can almost taste the bitterness. It gave me shivers; brought back heavy memories for me, I wont be able to wear it for sure! This is why I also love perfumes so much... memories get attached to smell more than anything else.

A very dry and dusty opening with a lot of pepper, leather and patchouli. Nothing in particular stands out in this fragrance to make it truly unique, much less something I'd invest in a full bottle of. Dry, dusty, cold...not what I think of with the accords and notes listed but that's what it is nonetheless. A little bit better than leather and ash tray but not much. 3/10. Try before you buy. These notes are amazing in theory, but on my skin it starts off with big leather that vanishes in minutes (but I wish had stayed), and what's left is a messy, slightly boozy feeling incense concoction that lasts only a few hours. It gives me a big sad because I very much enjoy Simone's "Born From Fire", and all of the notes in "Venom" are my favorite in perfumery. This should work beautifully, but it just... doesn't.

Had high hopes for this after finally getting my nose on it. I more or less agree with most of the reviews here, it doesn't smell how you'd think it would based off the notes. Reminds me of Oud Maracuja too. Born from fire is a better choice over this.

Smells NOTHING like Sultan. This is a dry, bitter offering that smells bad. Nothing about it connects to the dates or vanilla in the notes. This is all leather, tobacco and spices. A regrettable blind buy.

I will be testing this in the next couple of days, so will edit this post. Huge fan of simone’s house and this sounds incredible.
