Amande Sucree

As others have mentioned this has notes which can call to mind Hypnotic Poison. I love Hypnotic Poison, and right after spraying Amande Sucree I also detect a powdery-rosin-almond note that reminds me of Hypnotic Poison. However, after about 20 seconds Amande Sucree is a completely different fragrance (on my skin). Amande Sucree is sweet, dessert, light; and if "fluffy" had an aroma, it would be an accord in this perfume. If I had to compare Amande Sucree to another fragrance, the first one that comes to mind is Talco Delicato. It shares an unabashed cuddliness with Lea St. Barth as well, but Lea is much earthier. HP is a very sexual scent to me,and Lea is deceptively sensuous, but Amande Sucree is a soft daytime scent that stays very close to skin. Unlike HP or Lea, It is unlikely to cause every male downwind of it to salivate uncontrollably. Although, as I said, I do love Hypnotic Poison, frankly Amande Sucree smells "higher quality" to me; possibly this is why it evoke Talco Delicato. Amande Sucree, like the whole Sinfonia line, is incredibly seamless, and it becomes a part of the wearer. I have never heard a comment about smelling an awkward bitterness (cedar), or the infamous "play-doh" note with this airy scent.

Delicious toasted bitter vanilla almonds wafting through the air on a chilly breeze. Thick and heady. There is a lovely ambery warmth to this, and I can definitely detect the jasmine - which keeps it from becoming too foody. I think the notes mingle very well. Very cozy. Perhaps good for sweater weather. Reminds me a tad of Hypnotic Poison, but more feminine, natural, and slightly delectable. Sillage is good. You can definitely sense it surrouding you and so can others. Pretty longlasting as well. This is a beautiful fragrance.

I adore this and I will treasure it because I may never find another to replace it if I run out.

This is the best almond scent I have ever tried. I ordered a sample from luckyscent a few years ago, but this perfume is no longer available on that site. At first it is slightly bitter and offputting, as it smells very rooty and woodsy like the brown peely skin on the outside of a real almond. But don't let that scare you away. After a few minutes it becomes a heavenly cloud of sweet heliotropic almond and fresh bergamot. It has wonderful sillage which wraps itself around you in a veil of fluffy, cuddly warmth. It is also incredibly nuzzle-worthy and sexy and lasts more than four hours. Sadly, this is pretty much impossible to find in the U.S. and is expensive.

This is a big "NO" for me! What a disappointment! As a lover of almond/heliotrope based fragrances, I had great expectations about this one. I imagined something in the kind of Mazzolari Alessandro, or Farmacia Ss. Annunziata Cara, or Etro Heliotrope...for me, this is rather similar to Dior Hypnotic poison!!! I thought there was the anise or liquorice note in this fragrance, it's pretty clear on my skin! But in the fragrance notes it's not listed...maybe it's the bergamot + jasmin that ruines this parfum...but it's not as soft, powdery, sweet as a fragrance of almond or heliotrope should be (IMHO!).
