Izia La Nuit

Izia La Nuit (Store test) Today, I do annual medical check up. I got free time for an hour so I check cosmetic store, I found Sisley counter. Bottle of Izia la Nuit is really beautiful and catch my attention. I spray on my skin. This is beautiful modern fragrance in vintage rendition, Oriental-Floral Bouquet/Patchouli with powdery end. There is very subtle tone of mossy/chypre-woody labdanum but mostly it work in the background. This scent really recall alot of Great classic, very fulid like when you about to glimpse at one genre it slip another way. Greeting with Nuit Rose, pretty much recall a rose rich with rose oxide "Le Fille de Berlin" but ratio is not strong then it is later introduce, the creamy powdery quality floral rose x freesia hybrid that pretty much remind me of "Forever & Ever" and scent develop in sensual way before it is transit to patchouli / labdanum mixture. The rose here is slight touch of fruity tint, slight tint of spice. No sure soft plumy pretty much reminds me of "CoCo Noir" Quality wise, this is on par with good quality fragrance one. It seems Sisley still decided to do in-house blend. Where do I like the most is the base, Patchouli / Labdanum / Vanilla / SuperAmber with soft touch of moss. It is really good. the ratio of everything is just right. SuperAmber is not prominent just enough to make scent plushy. Patchouli / Labdanum is prominent but not over-kill and vanilla powdery is round out everything. I think this is really good fragrance consider release in 2021. Really enjoyable.. Properly construct in vintage structure but very modern. So good that brand still create something like this. A firm love for me, snag a bottle. This might sound uncanny but if “Beautiful witch disguise as human sitting in a cafe where serve alcohol. early night time tokyo, bogek across city lanes, talk to a boy” this is a vibe..

If the first Izia was a champagne cocktail, then la Nuit, its sibling, is a gin cocktail, served in a cut-crystal coupe and garnished with a dark rose bearing deep green leaves. Arrive at the party early and be among the last to leave. Wear soft leather gloves and a tailored tuxedo: your mission is to be slightly debauched and yet mostly-proper, most of the time. The blackcurrant in this is smooth and inky, with only a hint of the ammoniac character that I sometimes get from that note. The effect is more of polished glass than Windex. Cardamom, citrus, and rose contribute to the gin-like, almost boozy feel-- cool instead of cold, a mildly bitter restoratif and not a light, dry, fizzy apertif. The freesia and magnolia add a dusting of floral powder to the leathery labdanum. The patchouli seems herbal and grounding in its leafiness: not everything that happens in this perfume occurs indoors. The Ambrox, piercing at first, unfurls to a salty-sweet musk that becomes as comfortable to wear as one's favorite jewelry. There's a variety of interesting olfactory textures, and none of them are scratchy, though some are sharp. Perhaps exercise some restraint when spraying: one or two sprays is a cleanly defined angle on a tuxedo; five would be like carrying a ceremonial dagger and waving it around at random people. But hey, it depends what kind of party you're at. I can't emphasize the tuxedo vibe of this perfume enough. To me it's gender flexible in that very particular and very agile way. You are not merely clothed, you are wearing Attire, you are not going out, you are Attending an Event or celebrating An Occasion, and you don't know where exactly you'll end up--- a breakfast diner? a library in a castle? the back of a cart full of stolen flowers? ---but it's going to be a while before you head back home.

This was a blind buy based on the notes (I'm a cardamom girlie) and when it arrived, I was worried I wouldn't like it because chypres and I don't always get along, but it's really grown on me, and now it's one of my go-to bedtime fragrances. Izia la Nuit is a rose chypre in the style of the 80s, with some updates. It's bold and and even a little brash, but it's not screechy and it lacks the powdery soapiness of many vintage chypres. A brightness in the top conjures green apple, and other than a fruity rose, it's hard to pull out individual notes, even patchouli, which in this formulation is squeaky clean. This is a perfume for going out and being seen. It's glossy red lipstick, latex, and very high heels. This is the kind of fragrance you smell on a silk scarf the next day and start salivating. It's classy and sophisticated and very grown-up, but not old or overly mature. Wear this to feel powerful and sexy and intimidating.

As i am a fan of the original Izia, this flanker makes me confused. It is more different than the original one. Sweeter, warmer, a little bit older and more Sisley:) since because of the oakmoss :) Elegant also... but.... Oh my God it is complicated. it is changing during the day. At first sniff, it doesn't catch me but than I cannot stop sniffing my wrist. On the other hand(wrist), ı sprayed the original Izia; yesss that's my girl with the rose and bergamot. I have regretted a little bit that I bought Izia La Nuit. Anyway, during winter time it is better :) but expensiveee today's edit: my collegue said that it smells like a men fragrance and heavy. I felt upset a little bit. but... During the day, it smells really good and classy. Again an edit: I have migraine and it has not effected me negatively. I can use and spray it a lot. Every day I am using it, also at home :) So, I am really pleasant

This one surprised me. This is a beautiful rose backed up with black currant and patchouli. Theres a light leather facet that appears, while keeping its radience. A heavy wood note and cardamom adds a bit of spice as the backdrop allowing the rose to bloom. At the end the soft focus hum if ambroxan and a milky vanilla finish the scent. As a vintage enthusiast, echos of yesteryear with L'arte de Gucci, a tinge of Magie Noire, this could be their ifra restrictive great grandaughter. It inspires me what really could have this fragrance been sans restrictions and extrait in form. I liked this so much, I wished they had gone deeper with the concept. Not many new releases impress me, but finally this one finally makes a full bottle a worthy purchase. A modern update on the earthy dark roses of the past, while moving in its own direction. Lovely.

It started out with the original Izia DNA - a sunny, sweet, jammy rose. In the original Izia behind that jammy rose there is a clear juicy aldehydic brightness - the difference in La Nuit is immediate in that it has a transparent darkness behind the sweet jammy rose. La Nuit indeed! This darkness hums along beautifully but stays in the background also through the sweet fleshy freesia midnotes. The dry down is this glorious black current jam - all of the base notes are present and it completely reveals its La Nuit personality - a dark purple sensual nighttime sky. I kept thinking in the dry down "what does this remind me of?" and now I realize it reminds me of the original Si Intense (in the black bottle - very sadly discontinued). I am thinking to get a full bottle - I am a fruitchouli girl and this is definitely my jam. All puns intended.

Perfectly named, it is a dark and empowered rose for evening. However I am currently wearing it to the office on a summer day. And there is nothing ambivalent in it. The opening is very fruity, the black currant and mandarin together is a sweet and tangy bomb, juicy and mouthwatering. But I am smelling rose and patchouli too immediately after one spray. Fter dry down I can detect some freesia which I am very glad for, it softens the rose a little, and makes the floral heart a bit more complex and flowery. I can't tell if I can find the magnolia too in this mix, but I guess it gives a waxy fruity quality. On my skin it is a niche quality strong and long lasting elegant lady scent. Not for twenty somethings that is true. It requires a specific personality and a somewhat put together outfit and then the overall effect will be amazing.

I’ve been wearing this for a couple of weeks now and have been really enjoying it. This is a beautiful jammy rose that melds nicely on my skin. Longevity is most of the day, but lasts longer on clothes. I find that I reapply at the end of the day because I really enjoy the opening notes. This perfume brings back memories of my rose phase when I was wearing perfumes like Rose Barbare, Stella, Mille et Un Rose, Oud Bouquet and Rose of No Mans Land. I like this version better than the original Izia although that is very pretty as well. La Nuit is richer and doesn’t have the aldehydes of the original. Love the bottle, but would have liked a black cap instead of clear. Ordered directly from Sisley and they are giving away a free travel size with purchase.

I appreciate this niche composition style the most. The small details in it are what make it special. The scent isn’t what "black feminen fragrance gourmets" typically expect from a fragrance, but there’s something unique about it . It has a depth and a sense of mystery to it, something that feels hidden or secret. Well, it's not as dark as I expected. I was thinking the patchouli and labdanum would be more pungent. When people say it's not a bright rose, I don’t completely agree. The rose, as is the sweet, fruity grape is still bright. But there’s a silk-black veil that covers it, making it feel more nuanced and complex. That’s how I perceive it, anyway.

Sorry but it doesn’t smell old or dated. It smells Sisley. Which is not for everybody. But rose in this is voluptous, sweet and patchouli emphasize it. Blackcurrant creates somehow modern feel but also it keeps Sisley’s signature DNA. Pure luxury and sophistication. Sisley, do not ever discontinue this. Do not. Edit: Reviewer who said this perfume smelled dated or old deleted her review but i will still keep mine. This is the youngest Sisley you can ever smell with a big dose of captivating roses. In LOVE. Forever. I stocked up my second bottle. You can not joke about Izia La Nuit around me... We are meant to be for and ever and ever.

Sometimes, all a princess wants is to shed her mortal skin, to peel off the layers of silk, velvet, gold and priceless jewels and strip bare to her primal form, cavorting nude amongst the rose bushes, citrus groves, and black currant shrubs that her spirit once called home. Before she met the mortal prince and fell in love, this is all her wild, rare fae spirit needed to feel whole. Occasionally, when the moon was full and the humans were asleep she would dance under the moon unmasked and translucent like a single petal fluttering in a warm breeze, her opalescent wings unfurled and trembling.

Aunt La Nuit by Sisley is an opulent fragrance that evokes the richness and refined elegance of the fragrances of the 1950s. The rose in its maximum expression, immersed in suggestive amber notes and unexpected balsamic notes. Undoubtedly a Bon Ton fragrance for women aware of their own value who are not afraid of being confused with obsolete female archetypes. This 2021 fragrance vaguely reminds me of the same balsamic impact as the 2019 Oud Glacial de Reminiscence even though they only have patchouli in common.

Izia La Nuit is such a pleasant woody, berry-ish, slightly zesty rose and patchouli combination. Elegant, chic, sophisticated, but not snobby. It is like a brighter, more citrusy Eau Capitale, or a less jammy, more ambery, zesty and aromatic Reine de Nuit. I like this one a lot. It is a strong perfume but somehow doesn't seem heavy and suffocating at all, everything is balanced so well and it seems one of those darker, stronger perfumes completely suitable even for summer. Good all year round. +

Blind buy. Totally worth it. Love at first sniff. I am a fan of Sisley and have a few of their fragrances. This is sweet blackcurrant jam, rose, sharp freesia, green notes of spring with a refined dry down with a touch of patchouli. Just sensational. Not too orangey. This contains three of my favourites - blackcurrant, rose and patchouli (all of which exist in spades in vintage Magie Noire). Delicious. A stunning perfume from Sisley again.

I have migrane and it did not trigger my headache till now. Sisley fragrances are really mature, soft, smells natural and a little bit strange; at the same time most people don't know the brand's gems. It is spring time and a little bit cold going these days and I still wear this perfume with love. But, longevity is weak. You should refresh during the day a few times. But love it :) unfortunately underrated

I love this scent, but I rarely wear it. I’m a fan of rose, patchouli, and spicey scents. This one projects quite well on me, I’d say 2 sprays would be more than enough. The dry down (after a couple of hours of wear) gives me Dior’s La Colle Noire vibes, which is another one of my favorite rose frags. I can still smell this after a shower, but it’s faint. It’s a lovely rose fragrance.

Love at first sniff. Rich, velvety, deep red rose. Not the same by any means, but reminds me of the original Stella formulation somewhat. If you are expecting a beast, it’s not. Nothing sharp in here either. I would say this is a more mature scent and would probably not appeal to the under 30’s. Just gorgeous though. Added to wishlist.

Very Sisley I love the mix of Patchouli and black current. This scent could be described are sparkly champagne on a warm French fall evening. This feels like a scent you could wear daily for any occasion. It isn’t over powering.

Juicy black currant opening that gives way into an deep earthy rose. Enigmatic. Edit: Seems to have absolutely no lasting power on me unfortunately :-(

Sisley has added a new line of perfumes which seem to be a variation on a lighter theme of the original Eau du Soir perfume which appears to be a masterpiece perfume fit for a queen. This perfume is a much lighter and more youthful version of Eau du Soir. This is scrumptiously gorgeous, a beautiful blend that reminds me a little of Delina De Marley -- only this still the signature DNA of Sisley that makes that fragrance line so distinguished. I love how this perfume wore the first hour or so on my skin. This is a really nice blend with my chemistry. I will have to spritz this perfume again and pay more attention to how this perfume wears for several hours of wear. I have always admired Eau Du Soir (the original perfume) but personally felt like it was just wayyyy too heavy for me, even though I may really love the smell of it. This is a Queen's perfume, but it wears much more mature than the other perfumes that I'm typically drawn to. Eau Du Soir is in the same type of range as other heavy perfumes from the 1980's and early 1990's (Fendi, Coco Channel, Paloma Picasso, Panther, Youth Dew) where they almost over power, it is reminiscent of the shoulder pads worn by women during the 1980's. This new version is lovely. This may be one that I like even better than Delina De Marley. Will have to spritz this then keep and eye and nose on how this sets up on the skin several hours after spraying.

Initial impressions on my blind buy. First, this is not what I was expecting & it smells much more like a fruity floral than a floral chypre. I initially smelled raspberry in the top notes & this reminded me of Goutal’s original Rose Pompon (or was it Quel Amour?) with a bit more depth. Not sure about that now. I definitely smell the black currant. I do kind of like this-I was just expecting something more intense, more sophisticated, more of a strong chypre. And I’m not getting a lot of resemblance to the OG except that this has rose of course. The bottle is absolutely beautiful imo (the cap is glass!) & thankfully the ambroxan is used with a very light hand. EDIT: I do get a chypre feel when the top notes fade-a soft chypre. Anyway, I’ll keep trying. I really love the original & was hoping to love this one too. *So, bottom line is I really want something richer & stronger out of this. I like to fantasize what this would be like w/o all the damn IFRA restrictions (it would have been, could have been, glorious). It’s honestly a bit boring to me but it may grow on me. I really haven’t spent that much time with it. I’m keeping it regardless, if for no other reason than the bottle!!

I just tried Izïa la Nuit so this is a first impression..this is more grown up than the first one, I like the original, but found it hard to wear, it is bright and luminous, and very much a nice weather scent..La Nuit has a darker aura, it is more mysterious, it is blended in nicely, I wouldn’t call it a rose scent...but it has in its development something fresh, and juicy almost..tempered down by the warmer notes...like other reviewers, I expected different, but this is lovely... it is classy but not old fashioned..it catches you by surprise...the base is actually brighter than the top notes..the dry down is velvety, like fruits and liquor..I think it is complex, and beautiful...I don’t think it is a casual easy to wear perfume, but certainly a very interesting creation..longevity is nice, this isn’t super heady..La Nuit is a great name from it...it has something nocturnal..moon, stars...

Original Izia is a delicate, fresh and soft rose. Kind, polite young woman who is liked by her colleagues and is always nice to others :) Izia La Nuit is a strong, deep red rose surrounded by juicy fruits and patchouli. Elegant, confident lady that won’t let you know her well unless she decides she wants it. I think it would be cool to have Izia for a day wear and Nuit for night time. They have some similarities, but display two different vibes and personalities. Both have good quality and class. On my skin, La Nuit displayed much better performance - it has good sillage and longevity, whereas original Izia disappears rather fast. I recommend this perfume if you like deep and a bit mysterious floral-fruity fragrances on a strong, but not overwhelming patchouli base.

“The sleeper assembles images the way the poet assembles words...” Marguerite Yourcenar, Dreams and Spells (1938) Izia is an affectionate Polish diminutive of the name Isabelle: Isabelle d'Ornano, neé Izabela Potocka. A dream from childhood, this perfume avokes rose gardens in Łańcut, where her family once had an estate... Izia la Nuit, although locked in a beautiful black flacon designed by Bronislaw Krzysztof, doesn't have any darkness in it in my opinion. It's dewy and airy. Izia is neither a plucked rose in a beautiful vase, nor a rose executed to adorn curls. Izia la Nuit is alive, living in a hazy dream, blooming in a garden exposed to a dusky sky.

Top - Black currant rose. It's OK - but I personally don't get along with black currant notes. Heart - similar to Perfumers' Workshop Tea Rose. Tea Rose sadly smells like solvent on my skin and sears my nose. If you love Perfumers' Workshop Tea Rose, you will like this phase. Base - Creamy jammy rose. My favorite part of this scent and manages to maintain its rosiness throughout its 10-hour wear on my skin. This is an interesting study in rose and worth trying as a decant.

Gorgeous, dark juicy rose on open but it just doesn’t last. An hour in and it’s a vintage rose soap skin scent. Don’t get me wrong, I love rose soap, it’s a staple in my shower. But it’s the “base” of my beauty routine and not what I’m looking for in perfume dry down. If that big, dark, almost chypre leaning open stayed I’d be dousing myself in this every day.

A friend gifted me this for Christmas, I didn't want to purchase it myself because it's kind of pricey. And I'm thankful she did because I found it to be really beautiful and elegant. It's very rosey/fruity on my skin, and I've gotten compliments the few times I've worn it out. It lasts around half a day, not sure how it will be during hotter days. Let's see!

Fresh citrusy opening (bergamot and a bit of neroli) with light and airy rose and some subtle sweetness in the base. It’s pretty and light fragrance. I can also feel very soft patchouli in the dry down, so I would call it a modern chypre, but it’s still quite generic. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

The first time I sprayed it on my skin it was a shock, I felt a smell that wasn't very pleasant, but then the perfume became pleasant and after a few hours what prevailed was the smell of new jeans. It's not a bad smell but different. I like but it’s not my favorite

Nice, classical, warm, and elegant. Not overwhelming, not shouting but gently speaking about soft evening. A gentle oriental perfume. I'd even dare to say that it may be a safe blind buy as a present for a lady.

Ohh, this is lovely! A dark enchanted fruity rose. Black Currant and Rose stand out to make this Jammy. There is a musky powder to dim it down that I really enjoy. love it!

The cardamom lingers beyond the opening, making it an elegant, woody rose. Expensive smelling, long lasting, and perfect for an evening out.

This one smells amazing upon application, but it dries down to a dull, woody scent. I love the rose, but I guess it is not for my skin.

23. January 2021 (my 600th review on Fragrantica) The original Izia wowed me deeply and made me fall in love with it and bought many bottles of it and is one of my most beloved scents ever, even though i never reviewed it. This version of Izia however is not making me want to run to store and buy a bottle or two. First of all i do not like the bottle to be honest, i feel that they could rather make it not black but some sort of lilac, magenta or fuchsia, those colors would rather suit the Izia nuit scent, or at least make the lid in gold color. I made a comparison wear test of both Izias on my wrists and here is what i can say: Nuit is a sibling indeed, but i expected her to be more mature and intesnse, but she is actually more softer to my nose somehow. That sharp bright crisp note, that can be found in original is still present in here somewhere, but it ́s more hidden behind the softer rose note, which i do not get in the original Izia. In Nuit i smell some sweetness, probably it is a cassis leaf and stronger vanilla, that i do not smell in original one. Nuit is a nice scent, but i had my expectations higher for her, she is too soft and too safe for me. It is still a beauty, but i guess i will stick to her older sister. Sillage is rather soft and lasting power is rather good. If i would be presented this scent in a bland bottle with no name tag on it, i would say it is nice, but i am not sold.

I just got this today in the mail. I sprayed it on my wrists with high hopes, but then I was a bit let down. I was expecting it more on the resinous side, instead, I got oud, albeit very elegant but a dirty one. The dirty feel of the wood in here is what's turning me off. Thank goodness for the floral side of it, I don't know what I would've done if it didn't have that floral facet. It does smell like an elegant perfume. It is dark and mysterious, but that wood is feeling dirty to me, at least today, I don't know about tomorrow. I will keep on trying it, maybe today is just not the right day to wear it. The regular Izia was a love at first sniff for me, I am in love with it, but this one is proving to be challenging.

Once dried down, it mainly resembles the soft powdery scent of fresh roses - and as someone who is not kneen on powdery fragrances, Izia La Nuit Sisley is not overwhelming so. The patchouli definately leans it towards a more mature smelling scent, but not in an 'out-dated' way. It also reminds me of Fenjal deodorant, and after Googling Fenjal's classic scent they do share quite a few notes, from what I can tell - orange, rose, patchouli and vanilla. It's a fine perfume, but nothing amazing - it's neither an everyday nor special ocassion fragrance for me, but I can see it being that for some

Heavy florals with a very loud rose in the center. It feels dense and intense on the skin, definitely more evening than daytime. Longevity is good and projection is noticeable. I actually got an anti-compliment wearing this one, someone said it was too heavy and floral. It reminds me of many other rose-centric perfumes, so while it’s beautiful, it doesn’t feel particularly unique.

At first it is like a rose garden on a spring night. Perfect for date night. Makes me feel sexy. It is very unique. After a while all I smell is a powdery rose. I wish it had stay the way it smelled when first applied.

This really smells like public bathroom pink liquid soap.

I’ve never seen this fragrance before until I was flying back home from Europe Saw the bottle in duty free I knew the brand but wasn’t familiar with this bottle Tried it on a strip and it seemed interesting So I decided to get it as my homecoming self present Tried it a couple of times and what I noticed that it was very weak As much as I liked the opening but the fragrance could not sustain my enjoyment It just kept disappearing I didn’t get more than two hours on clothes maybe a little more on skin Disappointed by the experience I know I won’t be wearing it again French perfumery is getting more and more tame as the years pass by I think I should focus on more Italian brands if I wanted to enjoy my scents

I really liked Izia but Izia La Nuit, not so much. While the first is fresh, soapy, joyful, the opening of this one is much darker and patchouli oriented. Except that I don't like patchouli that much and neither the rose nor the blackcurrant are strong enough to tone it down. But at least it makes sense; Izia is luminous, the “Night” version is darker. Note, however, that the more time passes, the more the patchouli fades and Izia la Nuit slowly ends up shifting towards something more radiant and fruity. I found it quite interesting; the dark and deep night which slowly gives way to the day, luminous and sparkling. It will probably appeal to chypres lovers but is not for me.

Based on the notes I expected to love this, but like the original Izia there's a strong smell that overpowers all others on my skin. Maybe the Freesia? It makes it unpleasant. To me it's better on a strip of paper than on me. It's probably just my body disagreeing with something in it. Might be delicious on someone else, based on the test strip I do encourage to try!

An airy, parched, powdery desert rose dusted onto a base of aromatic, nearly herbal patchouli. Traces of blackcurrant and cardamom warm this up a bit, but it still feels distant to me, detached but decidedly glamorous, like an impossibly wealthy and well-groomed divorcée who’s sworn never to feel something as pedestrian as love ever again. She leaves me cold.

Apparently, black current is just not my steez. You'd think that black current would be lush, sweet and dark. But it's not. There's always something sharp and annoying about it. Anyway, the black current is very strong in this. This would make a great and luxurious laundry detergent. Hard no for me.

I really had my hopes up for this one. Oh well. It has a strong odor that I can only describe as...someone completely over spraying rose perfume on someone in a bar to cover up the smell of cigarettes and alcohol on her. In which it fails. Thankfully this was only a trial size from Scent 🐦. Phew

This smells musty. It smells like my great-grandmother's house; pot-pourri, dusty old furniture and a bit of mold. I think there's even a hint of HER perfume, Lanvin's Arpege. Also smells a bit like an old cab. Needless to say, I'm not a fan.

I get mainly jammy, oversweet blackcurrant and I really, honestly, genuinely, truly dislike this scent. It reminds me of a scent I bought for a joke, by "The Cheeky Girls". I do not jest. Scent Twins.

This is the worst perfume I have ever smelled. It is just so heavy. I do not even know which note I hate so much. I got this as a gift and every year I try to at least accept it... I just cannot

I hate this.. worst perfume I’ve smelled in a very long time! Smells like an old lady’s musty attic, and that’s being nice.. 😒
