L'Eau Rêvée D'Hubert

The opening is absolutely beautiful. For the first few minutes, it smells as if you’ve just stepped into a sun-warmed herb garden and started picking fresh peppermint straight from the plant. Not mint candy, not toothpaste mint, but real peppermint leaves crushed between your fingers. Green, aromatic, vibrant, and alive. Beneath the mint there is something that immediately caught my attention: a faint earthy note. It reminds me of gardening on a warm summer afternoon. Fresh mint seedlings have just been planted into rich, dark soil and watered. The earth is still damp and dark, and you can smell both the greenery and the ground beneath it. You have traces of soil left on your hands as you continue working among herbs and plants. This earthy facet is what makes the fragrance special to me. Unfortunately, it remains very subtle. Just when I wish it would become more prominent, it begins to retreat and it lingers very delicately as almost on 3th-4th plan. On fist plan the subtle herbal freshness is coming. Very pleasant refreshment. As the fragrance settles, it becomes softer and more restrained. The bright mint gradually fades into the background and the composition transforms into something gentler and more transparent. It remains fresh and green, but now feels more like a cool breeze passing through a garden rather than standing with your hands in the soil itself. The fragrance never becomes loud or overwhelming. Instead, it lingers as a quiet whisper of greenery, herbs, and clean summer air. I only wish the earthy garden note lasted longer. That brief moment of fresh peppermint, dark soil, and living plants feels wonderfully natural and realistic. Had that accord remained throughout the wear, this fragrance would have been truly exceptional for me. Instead, it becomes a subtle, refreshing companion, elegant, easy to wear, and quietly contemplative. Less a dramatic garden experience and more the memory of one. What it smells like to me: A summer herb garden after watering. Fresh peppermint leaves. Dark fertile soil under your fingernails. Warm sunlight. Green stems. A cool breeze carrying the scent away before you can fully hold onto it. Rating: 8/10 Opening: 10/10 Drydown: 7/10 The earthy note: beautiful, but far too fleeting. I love it but I am open for more of this dampness! In any case- it’s amazing that on my skin i could still smell it- usually everything just leans flowery and sweet- but this not! There was a bit of damp soil on me- amazing! If your skin doesn’t always give sweet flowers and you are looking for this damp soil scent- this one is for you. I also fell in love with this scrnt!

L’Eau Rêvée d’Hubert surprised me from the very first spray. The opening is almost strange — a cool, green flash that feels synthetic for a moment, but in a way that’s too intriguing and too polished to be off‐putting. It lasts about ten minutes, this shimmering herbal‐minty haze where shiso, buchu, and mint swirl together in a way my nose can’t quite categorize. It’s weird, but in the best possible way — the kind of “what is this?” moment that makes you lean in instead of pull back. And then it settles... and that’s where the magic begins. As it moves into the heart, the fragrance becomes dimensional, atmospheric, and quietly mysterious. The papyrus is the star for me — dry, mineral, almost papery in the most elegant way. It gives the scent a grounding, a soft shadow beneath the green. Cedar adds clean structure, and the geranium brings a cool, aromatic lift without ever turning floral or sharp. The longer it sits on my skin, the better it gets. I can’t stop smelling it. The base unfolds into a smooth, earthy glow — oakmoss giving cool shade, ambroxan adding a warm, skin‐like radiance, and patchouli offering just enough depth without ever becoming heavy. It becomes this airy‐green‐mineral aura that feels natural, modern, and addictive. What I love most is the balance: fresh but not sharp, green but not grassy, earthy but still clean, easy to wear but never simple. It has that “substance at the bottom” — a quiet mystery under the freshness — that keeps me coming back to my wrist over and over. This is easily my favorite from my recent haul. It’s intriguing, atmospheric, and beautifully done. A green scent with soul.

This is the best shiso-forward scent I've come across. It's tell-tale aroma is immediately noticeable seconds after applying to my skin. Shiso has this distinct profile: spicy, aromatic, green, yet its also tart and tangy. I absolutely love the flavor as well. Here, the oil agathosma, or buchu, is used to elevate this effect. Buchu leaf is a potent oil: camphorous and minty, but also having a somewhat ammoniac, sulfurous blackcurrant component. It must be used in traces to lend the desired effect, and as can be imagined, is dosed just right here. The result has a cool pungency that makes my mouth water: I think it's absolutely brilliant. This transitions into a heart of rose geranium that when converging with the aforementioned, reminds me of the cut stems of roses and the leaves of fresh herbs crushed in one's hand. It begins to feel more humid and lush, as if walking through a greenhouse. This sensation remains until later in the development, which also reminds me of the grassy, musky leaves of pandan on a bed of cedar, with suggestions of warm, earthy nagarmotha oil. This is by far the best of Sisley's L'Eau Rêvée line, save for spectacular L'Eau Rêvée D'Ikar, which is essentially just a repackaging of the original D'Ikar release.

Very, very good, and certainly interesting. In the very first opening burst (almost tooth-paste-y and off-putting to me - though certainly inoffensive to others - peppermint and I are not the best of friends due to a scarring incident in my youth involving peppermint schnapps - a liqueur I do not recommend 🙄), reminiscent of Geranium Pour Monsieur by Frederic Malle (which is a good but not great scent). On the dry down, it’s a mysterious, shaded, breathing garden: L’Ombre dans L’eau without the heavy roses/blackurrants. There is a dark-ish green edge to it, but unlike Chanel Cristalle or 19, for example, it isn’t woody or choke-heavy-patchouli, but more crisp, like a hint of absinthe, or crushed stinging-nettle leaves, it is altogether very pleasant, soft, mysterious and I think genius. The whole collection is, actually, very good (I have tried 5 out of 6), and IMO, Isa, Hubert, Ikar and Alma are standout. Hubert is gone-gone after an hour. Even the skin-scent disperses quickly. Clings better to clothes. Beautiful quality ingredients from Sisley.

This is one of the few fragrances I have ever smelled where there is really NO (but, NO!) sweetness at all in it. This is what gives this its absolutely distinctive personality--nothing round, nothing sweet, nothing with a lot of body. So you get green stems (bucchu, mint, more generic green--which I suppose is the papyrus?), a bit of geranium, herbal mint and shiso notes, and then a smell that I can absolutely only describe as wet potting soil (I think it's the moss with the ambroxyn). And this all has a sunny, airy quality--like something wafting through a green house--rather than it getting forrest-y. Again, there is NO density to this scent. This is what really distinguishes it from, let's say, the Eau de Campagne by J-C Ellena. There, the tomato leaf note has some sweetness on the drydown that makes one think of the sap of the leaf, a bit of sweat, some warmth. There is NONE of that here. It's sharp and airy. For that, it lasts a remarkably long time. It is unlike any other fragrance I have smelled. It is weird. WEIRD. And I love it.

Reviewing a bottle from 2024. L'Eau Rêvée D'Hubert was launched in 2023. This is a high quality refreshing mint/geranium Eau de Toilette. L'Eau Rêvée D'Hubert opens with slightly sweetened mint soon to be joined by more bitter notes such as shiso and agathosma. The geranium and cedar add stronger aromatics. The papyrus keeps it light and watery. The base offers a clean patchouli and oakmoss. The ambroxan is subtle. Nicely blended - not too sharp, not too bitter. Of all the L'es Eaux Revees collection I liked this one the best followed by Ikar and Alma. I feel that it best exemplifies what Sisley does well - sophisticated, fresh and often bitter classics. Quality- excellent Unisex - totally Performance- excellent for an eau de toilette L'Eau Rêvée D'Hubert is a more subtle version of herbal/aromatic freshies such as Eau de Campagnne and Un Jardin Mediteranee. Try this if you find the latter fragrances too intense. 8.0/10

I finally received this one as a quasi-blind purchase (I was able to smell the tiny dabber that a few of my local Sisley reps had prior to the release). As a fan of green, herbaceous, woody, minty things, I think it’s great. Especially for an EDT. Opens with a burst of mint and greenness and tempered green moss/papyrus undertone that grounds it, keeping the effervescent minty freshness from taking flight. After this opening, a real greenhouse scent moves in, humid, green, moss (like rainforest moss, not dried moss), verdant, clean with a hint of mild lime. After that- the mild mint and geranium return for the long dry down. The next day, I can still smell a mild, herbaceous skin scent. Pretty good performance for an EDT. If you are looking for a tobacco, vanilla, leather been-there-done-that, this is not for you. Hopefully they’ll turn this one into a parfum.

Wow, what a beauty. Life feels expensive at the moment, so I haven't indulged in a scent for quite sometime, but the minute I sprayed D'Hubert at the Sisley counter today I knew I had to buy it. Just divine. It took me straight back to the first time I visited Paris nearly 10 years ago, I took the iconic Clarin's Tonic body-oil with me, and that intoxicating scent of geranium & mint will forever be etched in my mind as the smell of Paris. For the quality, I actually find this to be very well priced. I am totally bewitched, this smells natural, chic, expensive, and oh so French. Don't complain about longevity, totally not the point, this is the antithesis of the everlasting & nauseating Santals and Baccarat Rouges' of the world, and thank goodness for that!! Love.

For the green minty fans out there, this is one you must add on in your perfume collection. It smells really nice. I went to Sisley booth to try this out both on skin and paper and fell in love at first sniff and bought a bottle instantly. It does have some similarity with Geranium Pour Monsieur (I own a bottle of this too) but both smell really different. L'Eau Rêvée D'Hubert to me, smells more minty and green where as GPM smells more minty spicy.

Got to try the new scents of Sisley today. Unexpected, but this fragrance stood out for me. It opens green with the floral of geranium and papyrus. This is how the scent develops more and more beautifully and deeper on my skin with an increasingly dominant mint tone. All the fragrance notes are so realistic and beautifully blended. Love for me.

To me, this smells exactly like the Alberto Balsam Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner. This isn't necessarily a good or bad thing, just an observation. Very tingly and minty fresh! Would be great for a very hot and sticky day, or just after the shower.

Do you like green, Madame? VOILÀ!! Very, very green. The opening is a loud, in-your-face sharp green concoction of geranium, mint and shiso(I personally don't get the other stuff; or maybe I do but don't recognize the smell. Agathosma?!?!) I feel like I get ivy too, but I'm not sure. The smell sort of stays the same(very green) for some time, but the intensity is much less compared to the opening. In late dry down(after around 4 hours) I get a bit of oakmoss with its subtle sweetness. Not much projection after that loud opening On skin, it dies after apx 8 hours. I like it; but honestly, it just doesn't feel much like a perfume to me; it's more of an herbal concoction!

I received this in an advent calendar and was struck by the mint note. It’s not one i appreciated at the time as it was winter and I popped into my collection and kind of forgot about it. Fast forward 6 months and a colleague was wearing this and I immediately recognised it and thought how lovely it was so I dug it out and I have to say that in the hot weather this comes into its own. If you are wanting a summer scent that isn’t sunscreen vibes then this could be the one for you. It is mint heavy at first spray so I’d say it’s not blind buy safe bur if you can get your nose in it it’s an underrated gem.

Received a sample, smelled it and it reminded me of Sisley’s eau de campagne (one of my summer scents). Fresh, herbal. I tried them side by side on skin today. Hubert has a bit more geranium and less sillage & longevity than Eau de Campagne. But they’re definitely siblings! If you have one, you don’t need the other.

This is an unusual fresh perfume for summer. It opens fresh yet earthy. The mint gives the cold and fresh feeling whithout smelling like mint. Added to this freshness is a face clay mask smell, border line petrichor. To my nose it's calming and pleasant. A like, I'm not getting a full bottle but enjoying my sample.

Almost overpowering with the mint at first, but calms down after a few minutes of wearing. Almost church-y when worn on clothes, which I really like. Green, but in the way cut leaves smell when they've sat for an hour and a half on a surface. Piquant, a bit mature, reminds me of dark indoor greenery.

I feel like this turns men's heads and piques their interest and idk why. It probably just smells good to them, but it's the only perfume I've worn that does this.

Sprinklers spray the freshly cut grass at the country club. Hot summer day. Red lipstick glistens.

This is such a long lasting fragrance for a Eau De Toilette fragrance amazing for hot summer day

Opens green and sharp, like damp stems just cut, brightened with something citrusy and watery. A clean, dry mossiness runs underneath, with a flash of tart fruit, almost pomegranate. It’s not entirely unpleasant, but I can’t escape a synthetic streak: citrus gone artificial, metallic green, a bit like floor cleaner. Once I catch it, I can’t un-smell it. The closest comparison I can think of is Hermès Un Jardin sur le Nil – though this one is sharper, harsher, with a synthetic bite that’s hard to ignore.

On my husband, this was a photorealistic smell of kneeling in the garden, cutting herbs. The fresh earth and chlorophyll were so prominent. Then it settled into a warm green scent that was lovely. He couldn't get past the gardening opening however (as a farmer and a rancher, funnily enough!), but it's a beautiful green scent if you want the experience of smelling like those things in a controlled way.

I'm a bit disappointed, as in the shop this smelled like the best mint fragrance ever and held on my skin from 30min to 1h but I just bought a fresh bottle and it smells so strongly after shiso that I'm sad. Not that it smells bad but very different from what I smelled before and what I wanted. I hope it will change after maceration, will update if it will.

The opening has a slightly musty note that might come off a bit off-putting at first. But once it settles, it transforms into something greener and more citrusy. There's a strong green and aromatic vibe — like freshly cut grass mixed with citruses and a touch of white florals. Definitely a unisex scent, but I can see how the drydown might lean slightly masculine to some. Interesting, but not quite my favorite.

I really don’t like it. I don’t know if it’s just my body chemistry but I get a massive headache every time I wear this. It’s sharp and pungent, in a chemical way. On the dry down it smells like a very subtle moth ball. Like a moth ball scented with a bunch of other s*** to cover up that it’s a moth ball.

This is a heavy mint centric fragrance and I don't like it. Opens up very green and cold minty and dries down to a green, minty, aromatic, earthy fragrance reminiscing of bug spray. Sample before buying, this isn't a safe blind buy.

It appears I'm clearly in the minority but I really dislike this one. The opening reminds me of car parts soaking in WD-40. That fades after about 15 minutes and what's left is a very green mint ...a mint bordering on an unpleasant garden weed. It's better than the opening but not by a whole lot. The note breakdown sounded interesting and I took a chance. Swing and a miss.

Trust me when I say this smells like a river. Not in a good way. A sharp and strong smell.

This is sheer and semi-transparent, like most Sisley fragrances and certainly all of the L'Eau Rêvées. I generally find Sisley to be very underrated, so for people who have never tried a Sisley, the nearest comparison to Sisley as a perfume house would actually be Jo Malone, in my opinion. These two houses share roughly the same ethos, emphasizing in particular wearability and naturalism. The Hermes Les Jardins line is also adjacent. Roughly, Sisley makes more complex, longer lasting, and higher quality Jo Malone-esque fragrances. For this fragrance, as per usual, alphairone is spot on in that this is by far the best out of the recent L'Eau Rêvées releases. All the rest are essentially updates on previously released fragrances. This one, however, treads new ground. Perhaps reveals new ground is more apt, as everything in this fragrance feels freshly picked from the backyard. Imagine: from the dense, green, hectic and slightly overgrown summer garden, you cull off leaves of fresh shiso and mint, last revealing the ground below to the morning sun. Taming the wildness, your plants need space to thrive. There, in the garden, you rub the leaves together until they are conglomerated into a thin roll of slightly moist, green sinewy fibers. It leaves your hand smelling tangy, green, but a bit acerbic. Going back inside to wash your hands, you see the geraniums you picked a couple days ago, in the vase by the windowsill. You pick one up, and you smell this, L'Eau Rêvée D'Hubert.

Gdy doszłam do siebie mięta wycofała się na bezpieczną odległość i tam pachniała sobie w towarzystwie geranium. Co dawało lekki efekt cytrusowości, świeżości. I tak sobie dyskutowały kiedy pojawił się mech. On daje specyficzną woń ( jakby potnej kwaskowości, metności ). Zapach, mimo kontuzjogennego początku jest całkiem przyjemny w noszeniu, bardzo odświeżający i intensywny. Jednak po kilku godzinach zaczyna być dla mnie drażniący. (Połączenie ambroksanu i paczuli jest też w Bois Imperiale i też jest dla mnie na dłuższą metę drażniący).Trwałość jest bardzo dobra kilkugodzinna (5h) chyba najlepsza że wszystkich nowych Wód od Sisleya. 660 zł za 100 ml, cena jak za dobrą niszę. Ale tutaj niewarty zapach takich pieniędzy

I didn't like it that much when I first try it in the store, but it grew on me and passed D'Alma to become my fav of this line. It starts with such a strong mint essential oil scent almost feels like you’re breathing into a diffuser in a spa, so I can see why some might find it too astringent. But it slowly fades into a softer green scent that resembles a freshly cut rose stem or fresh lychee shell (if you ever lived in a tropical country where you can get fresh lychee), it’s fruity/floral without any sweetness and almost puckery scent. I am a green/mint lover but I have nothing in my collection that gives out similar vibe. Definitely a must-try if you’re looking for something special but not a safe blind buy.

Well, the first thought that came to mind was: This is green as Eau de Campagne. Hubert is the founder of Sisley, so this might be an homage to him. The perfumista is not listed but this is all about Jean-Claude Ellena, the same perfumer of Eau de Campagne, the first launching of the brand. Connecting the dots: There's a strong connection between Eau de Campagne and L'eau des Reeves D'Hubert. A fresh blast of mint opens the perfume, then a natural geranium note takes place. It's almost a watercolor, just like the way Ellena does! Ambrox in here is used in a very intelligent way to dissipate the weight of other notes. It's an energizing fragrance, but you can also relax dreaming the Reeves (dreams) of Hubert.

Blast of minty geranium in the opening, with some dry herbaceous shiso undertones. I don't know how buchu smells, so can't tell if it's present here. With time this frag develops strongly into Ellena's signature style - vegetal and mineral. I can definitely smell here crushed, juicy twigs and vegetal cues known from Jardins, second motif is flinty minerality from Terre. Overall this frag is not to my taste, but can be good for spring and early summer. A harmonoius blend of Geranium pour Monsieur, Voyage / Jardins and Terre.

Reminds me a lot of one of my favorite niche Fragrances, the Anabasis by Apoteker Tepe. Which makes sense as they share some key notes. Opening of shiso and mint, supported by cedar. This one goes a little greener and aromatic, whereas the Anabasis is slightly woodier and had touches of citrus. I like this quite a bit, and I’m glad I got a small decant to try, but for me it wouldn’t be full bottle worthy as like the Anabasis a lot more, and every time I spray this it just makes me want to smell that instead.

Best of the line hands down! Not usually a mint fan but this is amazing. So fresh, green, just that tiny touch sweet, smells so expensive, not peppermint or spearmint or regular mints but more of a really really fresh green posh mint, real wow factor here. Nothing gum like about it, nor masculine, very unisex leans feminine, almost creamy in a strange way. Absolutely gorgeous!

Wow, so green and woody! I thought it smelled familiar, it reminds me of when my boyfriend wears terre d’hermes. I would say this fragrance is a bit more unisex, but leans masculine. It is nice though, I love terre d’hermes so I love this one too, just maybe on my boyfriend instead of me.

I got this as a sample when I purchased my fav Sisley: Izia. It was a bit weird at first, like a mint explosion but once it settled I had the most extraordinary image of an enchanted fountain in the midst of a forest. I will wear it on very hot days and it'll make me happy:)

This is nice. It’s fresh and very aromatic but it is still safe, not sharp. It smells expensive. It’s more masculine than feminine. I imagine a mature, rich and elegant man wearing it in the european summer. It has a relaxing and classic vibe.

This smells more green refreshing fragrance which i would correlate it with after rain feeling. It smells unique however the longevity seems pretty short.

Smells like an old medicine cabinet, and freshly cut lemons, and mint leaves and geranium, and in the very best way. Addictive.

Really like the refreshing mint at first, but with each wear the ambroxan gets louder and louder—not my favorite smell.

I love this scent with all my heart, but on my skin it gives off an ammonia-like scent... what a bummer!
