This interplay lends “Gigil” an almost classical masculine opening, though in today’s perfumery, it sits effortlessly on any gender. Then, sandalwood cuts through the composition like a Damascus steel blade — bright, precise, irresistible. And just as that sharpness asserts itself, plum enters. Succulent, ochre-fleshed, and softly radiant, it tempers the composition. Moist, but never syrupy. Still youthful, slightly defiant on the tongue. Its presence wraps around the bergamot and sandalwood like the lightest chiffon, softening their edges, slowing their attack, transforming what could have been sharp strikes into something far more graceful — an elegant sword dance, reminiscent of China's Han Dynasty refinement. The plum becomes the bridge — carrying the brightness of the opening into the languid, molten flow of caramel. Here, one might expect a decisive turn into gourmand territory, yet the fruit keeps the composition suspended delicately at the edge. It tiptoes ballerina-like between freshness and indulgence, maintaining a balance that feels almost impossible. Milk is not a separate note but lives within the caramel — inseparable, part of a larger, nectar-like whole. As it develops, the plum deepens, turning faintly alcoholic, more seductive. Its purple ripens into true "purpura" — flushed with a magenta heat of desire it can no longer conceal. The fragrance builds in intensity, its projection noticeable yet never vulgar. The distinction is clear — the enlightened refinement of a courtesan, never the vulgarity of the common street walker. On the skin, it warms and envelops, lush and magnetic. My first impression of the fragrance was made in cold, rainy weather. Gigil seemed to me to be sticky and gourmand: with caramel, coffee, chocolate and warm milk. It was too thick for me, I didn't feel the peach at all. But today I decided to test it again: in warm, sunny, summer weather. The fragrance is completely different! It is fruity, fresh, peach! The caramel now enhances the fruitiness, as if it were caramelized fruit, and the milk feels cool and refreshing. The coffee and chocolate have taken a backseat, subtly complementing the overall flavor. It's a delightful experience! The natural fruit salad with peaches is a true delight.

Gigil has a divine sillage! It's long-lasting, attractive, and unforgettable. I just started wearing it and already got a lot of compliments and questions about this perfume and where to find it. The bottle is elegant and looks beautifully at home, which is important for me. If you are looking for a sweet tough oriental scent with notes of peach, ambergris, coffee and jasmine, with a luxury sillage, this is exactly your choice. Absolute recommendation! You won't get enough! Gigil isn't just a perfume, it's a whole story you’ll want to share again and again.

This perfume mixed luxury candy with everyday wearability. The tart peach and bergamot melt together with the whiffs of chocolate it smells high end and perfect for the fall or winter time. I cannot stop thinking about it, it’s something that I would invest into wearing everyday. I think anyone who loves smelling luxurious and expensive would absolutely enjoy this fragrance. It’s so universal it’s perfect for any age group to wear. Would definitely recommend.

I would say that this fragrance is perfect for romantic evenings with a beloved one, evening walks, and celebrations. I'm glad that the fragrance turned out to be fresh and sweet, rather than cloying as it says in the description on the brand website. It's long-lasting, on my skin it stays for 6-8 hours. It is lightweight and doesn’t overpower or suffocate; it’s just right. It is a sensual, playful, delicate, and a very optimistic scent.

I want to breathe it in again and again! Oh, how I love gourmet fragrances! And this composition captivates me and makes me feel like a delicate dessert. It captivates and makes others look at you. It dances on your skin for a whole day and alternates between bright and calm notes, but never never gets tiresome. I think such a fragrance I would recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth.

I have a habit of going through recent fragrance reviews before I initiate one myself. It's a bad habit I know, and sometimes it does influence my opinion. All of this I agree and understand. Sometimes, I cannot start writing until I am inspired in some way. Positively or negatively. And obviously I am writing something now, so I indeed have been inspired. But how and why? SIU is a new fragrance house for me. It's always nice to come across something new since I have been at it for so long. So why do I mention all of this above? Because there are not many reviews to read, and yet somehow I am still inspired! The one I have on right now and that I have started out with is GIGIL. It is a Filipino word that means something along the lines of excessively cute. Hopefully I researched the right translation and the right culture. It's a great name to describe how this fragrance makes you feel. I knew beforehand that this was going to be a gourmand, so I was expecting the typical smack in the face with sweetness. That does not happen here and I am pleasantly surprised! It is rather soft. Not too sweet, which is a great compliment in Asian culture. It has a little bit of a tart and citrus opening, and some other type of fruit throughout the middle. If I'm not mistaken, I believe it is plum. All of this is mixed quite well with a concoction of chocolate, caramel and vanilla. But throughout the entire composition, there is a translucence, a sheer quality. I prefer my sweet fragrances exactly like this. It's not too adolescent or young. Perhaps it could be even unisex. A great spring or summer gourmand. So far so good. I have quite a few more and I will be reviewing them all within the next few days. If any of you are interested! If I had my guess, I would say these will probably all be easy to wear. Nothing too experimental or avant garde. Close to the skin and almost pearlescent in its behavior. A perfect match in regards to the bottle design. I very much appreciate that attention to detail in any brand. I find them more trustworthy for some reason. So we are off to a good start. Looking forward to the next one!

The accord of milk, milk chocolate and coffee creates a creamy texture reminiscent of a signature cappuccino, but the peach and bergamot intervene immediately to prevent the fragrance from being too heavy, adding a fruity and sparkling brightness. While the initial sweetness settles, the plum emerges, velvety and juicy, acting as a bridge towards a more structured heart. The jasmine adds a touch of floral elegance, but it is the sandalwood that dominates this phase, giving that "lactonic" softness that characterizes the entire evolution. The finish is the most persistent and warm part. Caramel and amber create a sweet and sensual trail, but the real magic lies in the sunny notes. The latter give the fragrance a radiant air, preventing the gourmand from becoming cloying and transforming it into a warm and welcoming "skin" perfume. It is a unisex fragrance, perfect for those who love sweet scents but are looking for something more complex than the classic "vanilla". Excellent for autumn and winter thanks to its warm notes, but surprisingly enjoyable even on spring evenings thanks to the sunny and fruity component. An enveloping fragrance, with a good persistence that leaves a reassuring and magnetic trail. Gigil is a sugary caress that does not give up refinement. If you are looking for a perfume that smells of comfort, light and a hint of gluttony, this creation by SIU is an obligatory stop.

A beautiful modern gourmand with a really elegant twist. It opens with a deep velvety chocolate note touched by the tartness of peach and bergamot. The chocolate accord only lingers for a moment before a ripe, juicy plum begins to emerge, followed by hints of jasmine and creamy sandalwood.The plum is sweet and slightly jammy, yet never sticky or overly cloying. After some time, this indulgent plum is joined by a caramel note which, on my skin, smells more like Cornish vanilla clotted cream fudge. Everything is beautifully rounded out by warm amber which, combined with the plum, gives this fragrance a truly luxurious and high quality feel. Longevity on my skin is around six hours, while the projection stays relatively close to the skin, making this the perfect fragrance for the colder seasons.

Cozy sophisticated gourmand. I'd love this on a man, especially in winter. Great silage projection AND longevity. The peach, the sandalwood ..and caramel ..and chocolate 🍫 ..ahhh, you're going to love this.

If you like youthful and candy leaning scents such as Prada Candy, you will love Gigil! This is very youthful and fun for a day or evening out with the girls.

The mix of notes here sounds so odd, but it weirdly works! I was nervous that the sour fruits and chocolate would clash, but that doesn't happen at all. She smells like a peachy chocolate martini, rather than a peachy chocolate dessert. Gigil is sweet, a little playful, but not childish in the slightest. The chocolate gives it a pleasant richness. It's not too lactonic from the milk, but there is some creamy smoothness there too. The fruits come through more. It's not as heavy as you would think though, even when sprayed multiple times. There's an airiness here that keeps it from becoming cloying. It's almost fizzy. Maybe that's the solar note? Or the Jasmine? Whatever it is - it works. That airy fizzy quality just ties everything together beautifully. I don't get super sweet candy vibes from this at all, like I had expected to. The chocolate is not sugary, and the blend of sour fruits makes this smell more tart than sweet to me. It's pulpy, a little sticky. It's almost unisex too, there's a masculine quality that I can't quite pinpoint. This one is edible, but not super fruity-candy-sugar-eat-me-gourmand. I would say it's more perfumey, fruity gourmand. I don't detect the coffee here at all, it just blends into the chocolate. I expected this to smell like a non-spicy version of Thierry Mugler's Angel (the chocolate/peach/plum/jasmine/caramel/bergamot/sandalwood) but I don't really get that vibe at all. Angel is heavier, richer, swdeeper, whereas Gigil is lighter, creamier, smoother, more airy. I like both, so can't complain either way. She's a little confusing but I like her! The blend is well done, none of the notes really jump out from each other. (I've found that SIU is good at that - the blends are very thorough and there isn't anything crazy happening, but it's always pleasant.)

Gigil is divine decadence! This is a gourmand lovers dream. If you want to smell sweet but high quality at the same time this is it. Gigil opens with the nicest chocolate note that comes off very tonka to me which makes it feel really comforting but sensual at the same time. After that initial chocolate burst it starts to mix with a soft powder and fruity essence that blend everything together seamlessly. The dry down is reminiscent of a luxury vanilla candle that you would find in a chic boutique. Gigil is perfect for lovers of scents like black opium, by the fireplace and Britney Spears fantasy. Projection on me is quite intimate but when it comes to gourmands I actually prefer that.

On my skin, the plum and creamy facets stand out the most, giving it a luxurious and slightly addictive quality. A soft, intimate gourmand that smells polished and expensive without trying too hard.

I can see the black opium comparison, it is similar but this one is less rich + more light, but it's still a syrupy sweet fragrance. I like it but I wouldn't buy a full bottle. 7/10.
