I can see how this is a hit or miss scent. Its very unique and somewhat of a niche scent for Skylar. To me, it smells like a rich b*tch leaving a late night party, smelling like her vanilla perfume got entangled with hookah smoke. I love it!

This smells just like beeswax! Like it a lot!

I was generously gifted a sample of this and when I first spray it I can tell the top notes are off because it smelled like olives. I really just assumed that was how the perfume smelled at first and it was probably some terrible skin chemistry issue and I was willing to move on. I sprayed the rest of the little vial on my arms today so I could throw it away and be done and about an hour later I was getting the most delicious little wafts up to my nose. It’s a light vanilla scent with a hint of creaminess to it. The tonka is not overpowering at all and it’s not that overdone generic designer scent tonka bean note. You know the one that is in everything. This is much lighter and I don’t want to say fresher but it’s got this airy quality to it. The wafts from this thing are gorgeous and surprisingly enough I feel it’s quite unisex, like I’d be intrigued to smell this on a guy and feel it might even suit them better (although mine won’t go for it, he won’t even wear his full bottles much less a dainty little sample vial, sigh). I might purchase a full bottle someday if Skylar prices come down, I don’t wanna pay $75+ for a “natural” perfume with questionable performance and preservation abilities- re: the olive situation, but if I ever see a bottle for around $40 I’d be happy to snatch it up.

I hadn't worn it in many months so I listed it for sale on Mercari. Later that day I decided to sniff it again and I had forgotten what a beautiful scent it was! I sprayed some on my arm and right then I went and deleted the listing. I had to keep it. It's really the only one I like out of Skylar's EDTs. On my skin, this is a beautiful, darker floral that leans sweet not cloying. It has a softened spiciness to it that I love. The patchouli is there but it's not the loud, in your face, type of patchouli. I would describe this as an edgy floral. Something about makes me really like it. I haven't smelled another fragrance like it.

Finally, after trying all of what Skylar has to offer, I find something I like. This is a nice, balanced, spicy floral that offers at least a little complexity instead of being one note wonders like many of Skylar's other fragrances. (Yes, I realize you are supposed to layer them. No, I'm not into that.) Tonka bean is present, but I can still smell the vanilla and jasmine. Patchouli is also present in the background but not overpowering. I will probably pick this one up in a full size, as it will serve me well in spring and fall.

Very lovely, but fades within two hours!! During it's short life, I pick up mostly neroli, but it also smells very much of honey/beeswax. A tinge of spiciness. Sadly (because it's such a pretty scent), with such awful longevity, this is a "like" and a definite pass for me. If there was a longer-lasting EDP version, I would jump to try that!

I got the Skylar palette with the 6 signature scents. I'm glad I tried these fragrances before committing to a full flanker because just about all of them have poor longevity (and yes, I'm aware they're supposed to be layered, but I prefer to use each on its own). I'm not crazy about Arrow. I can smell the neroli in the opening and possibly the jasmine. The scent disappears so quickly I barely catch the vanilla and tonka bean in the dry down. There's something pleasant and clean about Arrow once it's settled. Its performance would likely be better if it was sprayed on a top. This is a definite pass for me. I can't justify paying that amount for a fragrance that disappears in less than 2 hours. There are other clean fragrances with much better longevity and sillage.

This was one of my better liked fragrances from Skylar's original releases. Now, it's just okay. I find the patchouli and vanilla combo a little too rich for my evolving tastes. Maybe it’s macerated over the few years I’ve had it. Luckily, this fragrance doesn't have powerful sillage. It's light but heady, with poor longevity, and now discontinued.

So...Chickpacino has hit the nail on the head. This smells exactly like chewed cinnamon gum on me. Definite candy cinnamon here, as well as a healthy layer of spit or sneeze. It is extremely unpleasant. I am so glad I am testing this from a sample, and did not pick up a bottle at TJMaxx, etc. Objectively, I can tell that this smells like patchouli and some other notes, and has similarities to something else that I can't put my finger on (nothing listed above), but when I wear this - I just feel uncomfortable. And like I've sneezed all over my arms, after chewing Big Red. In the drydown it does get more tolerable, more floral, more like a perfume - but I can't stand to wait that long for this one.

I usually don't mind subtly warm/spicy fragrances (Nest's Indigo, Mugler Womanity), but this is probably my least favorite Skylar scent. First I'm really surprised the spice isn't ranked higher in it's accords. It's the first thing I notice, followed by the brighter neroli (a favorite scent of mine), some jasmine and a bit of warmth coming from the vanilla. If I wasn't sure about it before wearing it however, I was definitely after. On my skin it took a turn for the worst and went HEAVILY spicy, cinnamon-y - reminiscent of red hots candies.

For a non toxic line many in this sample kit gave me a headache. I ended up gifting it to my little sister (she's a 1/2 sister and much younger than I am) and she loved most of the fragrances. I asked her to pick top 3 she did and I gifted 2 of them to her for her birthday so it wasn't a total loss. But I found this one to be so boring. And I did not like the sugary black currant note.

I might not be the best tester for this perfume, as I really don't like spicier scents, but, yeah...I don't like this. I echo what others have said: it smells like cinnamon gum, or a cheaper knockoff of Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf. It's also a bit masculine leaning for me. With that being said, it's a light scent, at least.

Starts with some synthetic spice and fades quickly into a patchouli/musk mix with some hints of fruits, which aren't even mentioned in the notes. Definitely not a scent I'd choose as the embodiment of spice.

I got this in the sample palette, and it wasn't for me. I just am not so into vanilla/floral scents. I did like some others from the set though so it wasn't a complete waste.

Yet another, in my opinion, total fail from Skylar. I got a sample pack from them with six of their 'fragrances' (and I use the term loosely!). When I sprayed this one I actually laughed because it was so bad. How is this company staying in business? I will say that there was one sample - "Meadow," which I actually did like, but ironically Skylar has discontinued that one.

This one surprises me. So far all the Skylar scents I'd tried have been kind of disappointingly shampooish florals without much backbone. Arrow is different in that it's fairly dimensional. I can see why other people are saying cinnamon gum but I don't mind it bc on my skin it's got kind of a resinous funk. It's not super unique, but I don't hate it.

Want to smell like chewed big red cinnamon gum? Blind bought this on clearance at Marshall’s for $6. Attempted to wear it for a harmless target run and realized I smelled like sweet red hots and spit. Wonderful.
